A Chance Meeting

IN THE UNIVERSITY-

"Oh my god I heard she beatup Kikyou!"

"Yeah, I heard she is rich and owns half the country!"

"Well, I'm happy to say that Kikyou is over with me."
"Right, I also heard Hojo broke it off with her. She was bawling like a baby!"

"Kagome, looks like your today's topic." Sango laughed with her friend.

"Yeah, well it's not all it's cracked up to be. I mean, yeah I'm probably Miss Popular now, but I don't wanna be. They didn't even know who I was till today. SHEESH!" Kaogme sighed at her long time friend, hoping the day would get better. Suddenly Sango pulled her to the side and into a room with a few students.

"Uhhh... Sango are you okay?" Kagome questioned hesitantly, looking suspciously at her young playful friend.

"Yeah, remember? You promised to come to class with me today. Awww, ocme on don't back out now. Pleaseeeeeee????" Sango pulled the puppy dog eyes on her friend and immediatly knew she would stay.

"Yeah yeah. Let's find me a seat. How do I get myself into these things?" she asked the air.

Finding a somfy window seat she pulled her laptop out and turned it on, connecting it to the internet the proceeded to get on and check her e-mail, untill she heard a huge gasp and several whispers. 'Oh great, that's all I need. More gossip.' she thought.

Then she heard the door slam shut. 'Probably Kikyou mad at me. I know she has this class with Sango. Don't do anything stupid Kagome.' She chided herself. She looked up and her breath caught in her throat. Sango's new teacher was a hottie. No more along the lines of feminately beautiful. His features were very womanly like those Harlequin romance novels. The dream guy that every girls fantasized about.

His hair was long and silky, added to the unusual shade of silver, and his eyes. The honey colored golden depths. So cold and unemotional. Then she sensed it. 'He's a demon.' She called on her powers and looked at his aura, trying to see what he was. 'An inuyoukai. The only one left is-' her thoughts were cut off by his deep, cold voice.

"I am Sesshoumaru Miyagi. Your World History teacher. You will either speak to me with respect or not speak to me at all. You will refer to me as 'Sir', 'Sensei', or 'Miyagi'. Is that understood?" His cold gaze brought nods from everyone in the classroom. ' I was right! Sesshouamru, Lord of the Western Lands. I wonder if his fabled patience and strength is true. I think I'll toy with him.' Kaogme silently mused.

He walked behind the desk and sat down. "Now each one of you will introduce yourself to the classroom, and state what you wish to learn, what you have learned, and why you took this class. Starting with Aachi, Hojo." the teacher looked up and a boy with reddish-brown hair stood.

"Hi, I'm Hojo Aachi. I wish to learn about the history of Japan, and the changes the economy has undergone. I have studied the current history, and took this class because I like to learn." Hojo sat down and smiled.

"Aachi, you do not need to smile to introduce yourself." was all Sesshoumaru said. The Introductions went around row by row until only Sango and Kagome were left.

"Hi, I'm Sango Hiromeshi. I wish to learn more about all the cultures. The reason I took this class is because I am interested in becoming a archeologist, and this course is needed to complete my studies. I have already taken Japanese, American, and Chinese history, now I need this course." She stated professionally, like Kagome had taught her.

She sat down and Sesshoumaru's cold gaze switched to Kaogme's still straight form. He sensed the air of professionalism about her and curiosly asked "And you?" he set his chin on top of his hand.

Kagome stayed seated and replied firmly. "I do not needto introduce myself. I do not take this class. I am here for my friend, Sango. I completed this class in 10th grade, so I'm an just an innocent bystander." She said coldly, to the demon infront of her.

'She challenges me! She will learn her place.' he thought, mildly angry.

"Introduce yourself to my class whether you are in it or not, woman. You will respect me and listen to my orders." he glared at her, then sniffed for sign of fear. Everyone else inside the classroom was covered so heavily he could taste it. But she wasn't.

"You cannot order me around. I'm not one of your pupils. But I will introduce myself-" he smirked, oblivious, "- for the sake of the classroom." she smiled and his smirk faltered. She stood up and bowed to the classroom,

"Hello. My name is Kaogme Higurashi. I am a third year college student and I'm 19. My majors are Politics, Economy, Physics, and Sociality of Women and Men. I will be here each session with my collegue, Sango and can help you with anything you need. I learned about the history of the world and how it came to be and what it is now when I took this class. I wanted to learn at the time about the Sengoku Jidai the most. It was a time when Demons ruled and human thrived. Also a time when people like myself came to be. I am a preistess. A miko and I wanted to learn aobut my 'kind', as you may say. I am proud to be here to answer any questions." she turned to Sesshoumaru, " Was I clear with everything?" She asked then in an undertone she added, "Lord Sesshoumaru of the Western Lands?" She could see his mask of indifference slip a notch but come back up.

"Yes, quite. Now if you will be seated, I will begin my lesson." He watched as she gracefully walked to her chair. He noticed the swing of her hips and the nice curve of her buttocks, and the supple curves of her breasts as she turned and sat down and her fine facial...' WHAT AM I THINKING! She is a disgusting human. She shoudn't be causing these thoughts. I will just ignore her.' he thought

<But you knows she's quite a looker, right?> came a little voice in the back of his head.

'I thought I locked you up long ago, why are you hear?' Sesshoumaru questioned the voice.

< No you didn't. But her. MMMmmmMMM. WOuldn't you like ot get a peice of that. I wonder if she a moaner of screamer?> it teased.

'Will you cut it out? I will not listen a voice in the back of my head all day.'

<No, just admit she's hot. Especially that butt. Come on, you know you like it. You haven't had any in a while either.> it said amusingly.

'I-ah-yes. She is quite exqusite. For a human. That is all, now will you go away?' he argued with it again.

<For now>it said and was gone.

"Today we will be going over the basics, such as the five themes of geography, longitude, latitude, and the hemispheres. Are there any questions?" No hands came up. "Good, turn in your books to chapter one and begin reading pages 1-47. I want a outline of each chapter on my desk by monday. That gives you 4 days to prepare it and you may start now." Several head went down while others searched for books and paper. One stayed in a upright position along with a companion.

Hiromeshi, Higuarashi. There is work to be done. Hiromeshi, work, now." He turned until a cough came, he turned around again."Yes?" he asked.

"I have already read the book. I can still do the work thought, as it is an assignment, but I don't need to read it." Sango replied, getting straight to the point. Then Kagome piped in "I do not have to do the work, but I will still be here for her and any other person though. And if they would like another opinion, I;m here. I take my 'favors' are okay with them." She voiced, glaring at him and daring him to say anything.

"Higuarashi, you will stay after my class. I would like to talk to you. Privatly, if I *may* ask?" He said returning her glare. Everyone in the room could feel the tension, so they went back to work.

'The nerve of him! He thinks he can just order everyone around. Not even taiyoukai can do that anymore. The Lord of the Northern Lands is even a close friend. I'll have to talk to Misaki and ask him a little about this Sesshoumaru character.' Kagome thought in her head and decided she would make a nightly trip to visit Misaki, lord of the Northern Lands. 'Then it's settled. I'll take Sango with me, just for company.'

'She justs thinks she can come in here and have full reign of the class as I, Sesshoumaru. I do not think so, little miko. You are in my lands and my hands. I will do as I see fit with you.

<She's hotter when she's angry, ne?>

'You again? I thought I was rid of you earlier.'

<I said for now. So I'm Back. Man, check out those eyes. So dark and innocent. She's gotta be a moaner>

'Will you shut up and go away? I have no time to dwadle with human females. They are a nuisance. They do not deserve the attention from I.'

<Yeah, but who said she was human. What about her scent? Have you looked at her aura?>

'No, I have not. I do not see a need to do so. She is a mere human. Nothing special. Although the miko heritage vaguely surprised me.'

<Well, what does she smell like?>

'*sniff* Cherries, flowers, and vanilla. She has the battle aura of a youkai, and the purity of a miko. How can this be?'

<I don't know, but I want a night with her. Don't you think that would be good? Eh?>

'Class is over, go away so I can deal with my students.'

<I'll be back.>

'Finally.'

"Class. It is time to dismiss, I will expect your reports by Friday and no later. Tommorow, same time and place. Dismissed. Higurashi, stay." He waited till the class was out to speak with her. He could very well hear what the miko and her friend were saying clearly.

KAGOME AND SANGO-CONVERSATION

"Hey, Sango! I'll be going to Misaki's tonight. In the Northern Lands, do you wanna come? I'm sure that he wouldn't mind the company. Please? He kinda the pervert, even though he is a powerful youkai lord." Kagome pleaded.

"Yeah. I'll come. And we can ride in your new car. I'll be waiting out beside it if you wanna leave now. That report shoudn't take me long. You know that neko youkai we were going after, she committed seppeku. She's off the list now. Only two more and we've got Naraku. I think their names are Kagura and Kanna." Sango said in a hushed whisper.

"Yeah well, as long as Naraku doesn't get the Shikon no Tama, I'll be fine. I always wear it. Now, get everything you know about Kagura and Kanna on file and call up Naoko. Then we can get to Misaki's earlier than expected. You know he hates tardiness." Kagome chided her young friend.

They ended the conversation laughing about something named Buyo and walked down the rows of desks towards the door. Then Sango went out and Kagome turned around to face the remaining occupant.
