Ch.4 "It's not that bad.", Kagome tried to reassure Elizabeth. But it wasn't easy. "What do you mean it's not that bad? I'm on the other side of the planet, but not
only that, I'm also 500 hundred years in the past." Elizabeth took a deep breath and let it out
slowly. Kagome and her group had brought Elizabeth to a hut that belonged to somebody called
Kaede. Elizabeth still felt extremely tired and her stressed nerves weren't helping her at all.
"Maybe you should lay down and rest Elizabeth, you don't look well."
Kagome said concerned. Elizabeth looked as though she could pass out at any moment.
"Yeah, I think I will.", Elizabeth said laying back on the blankets Kagome had
laid out for her.****************************(############)************** ********** "Kagome, who is she?", Inuyasha asked as Kagome sat down beside him.
"She's from the future like me, but she comes from three years in the future
of my time. Not only that, she comes from the other side of the world." Kagome was beginning to
get a head ache from all of the stress Elizabeth's untimely arrival was causing. "Since she can't
travel through the well, I don't know how to get her back."
Miroku who had been listening suddenly raised his head,"Have you noticed her aura? It is very
strange, it's as though she is neither human nor demon." "It's about time you noticed, she's been creeping me out.", Inuyasha stated
bluntly. "She has an aura that even I can't decipher." "Do you think it has anything to do with how tired she is?", Kagome asked
as she remembered Elizabeth almost falling asleep in her food after they'd tried taking her through
the well. "No, I believe she is tired because she traveled through an unstable time
portal." Miroku said standing,"Now if you'll excuseme, I believe I need some rest." After Miroku had gone inside Kagome turned to Inuyasha,"What do you
think Inuyasha?" Starring into space Inuyasha grunted and stood pulling Kagome with him.
"I don't know, but we'll see won't we?"*************************(############)************ ****************** "WINDSCAR!", Inuyasha yelled as he brought Tetsaiga down on one of
Naraku's puppets.
This time they hadn't even been looking for Naraku. Naraku had suddenly
appeared out of nowhere and attacked them. Sitting on Kirara's back, Kagome began shooting
arrows at the manikin.
"Inuyasha, hit it one more time!", she called out to him. Inuyasha,
following her advise, swung his sword once more, demolishing their enemy completely. Naraku's
poisonous insects demenished along with their master's copy. "Sango! Miroku! Are you alright?", Inuyasha called into the nearby trees. An answering grunt was what they got as Miroku walked into the clearing with an unconscious
Sango thrown over his shoulder. He limped to where Inuyasha stood and slowly slumped to the
ground. Inuyasha grabbed the opposite shoulder of the one Sango was carried and helped Miroku
sit up. "Miroku, where is Elizabeth?" After Naraku had attacked he'd grabbed
Elizabeth and left leaving one of his puppets for them to fight. Miroku and Sango had followed
after being reassured by Inuyasha. "Naraku had Kagura fight us." Miroku said bitterly. Kagome shot her gaze
to Inuyasha as Miroku passed out. "What does he want with Elizabeth?", Kagome asked, she had a very bad
feeling about this.*****************************(################)******** ******************* Sesshomaru jerked to a halt. Tilting his head he sniffed the air. Letting out
a growl and an order that Jaken was to stay put, he headed to where he smelled Naraku. Racing
toward the scent's source, Sesshomaru caught another smell. This one smelled like sakura. When
he came upon Naraku he saw what was the source of the much sweeter smell. A woman lay
against a tree near Naraku. She appeared to be sleeping that was until Sesshomaru saw the dark
bruise and cut that decorated the spot just above her eye.
"Well, Sesshomaru. What a lovely surprise. I just so happened to have
left your brother. Not without getting something of value of course." Naraku said gesturing to the
girl.
"What good would a human, let alone a woman be to you?", Sesshomaru
asked. Something was making him uneasy but he couldn't place it. "Ah, if I told you where would the fun be?" Naraku said with a sneer.
"If there is something that has caught your attention then it must not mean
well. I'll just have to take her.", with that Sesshomaru gracefully lunged forward, grabbed the girl,
and jumped clear of Naraku. There was a flash of panic over Naraku's face before he schooled his
features. "I'm sorry, I'll need that back." Naraku began to spread his miasma but before he could
do anything else a flash of blue light tore through his body.
Naraku glared at Kikyo as she fired another arrow, this one missed as
Naraku disappeared. Sesshomaru stared at the dead miko before she simply turned and left.
Sesshomaru let out a small growl, he did not like the dead woman and
if his brother did not do something about her soon, he would do something himself. Looking
down at the woman he held in his arm he noticed her strange clothes.
He rolled his eyes(a very rare action), Strange things cling to my brother
he thought as he carried the woman back to the camp he had set up for Rin. "Lord Sesshomaru, who is that lady?" Rin asked peeking around her lords
leg as she tightly held his pant leg in her small hands.
"I do not know, Naraku had her in his possession." Sesshomaru
straightening from sitting the girl on a blanket.
"My Lord, she isn't going to stay with us is she?" Jaken asked coming up
beside Rin. Ignoring him Sesshomaru went to a tree and sat down, propping himself up.
"My Lord?"
Sesshomaru glared at the imp then closed his eyes. "Naraku thought her
important. We shall see.", was all he said then, "Rin you need to sleep." "Hai!", Rin hurriedly ran to her bed, got in and soon after fell asleep.
Jaken grumpily walked over to Ah-Un, sat down, and also fell asleep. Sesshomaru cracked an eye
open to give the woman one final look before he closed his eyes again. The girl seemed to glow
with an unreal light. Sesshomaru shook his head, The moon's playing tricks. A few moments later
the camp's inhabitants were all fast asleep.
Unknowingly to them a barrier had risen to protect them through the
night.
