Ch.5

Where am I? Elizabeth thought as the pain in her head subsided. She couldn't remember
what had happen the day before.
"Sesshomaru-sama!" Was shrieked some where near her head and she groaned from
the pain that coursed through her because of it. There was a loud thump and something
said in Japanese before Elizabeth felt a cool hand press to the source of the pain. Her eyes
popped open and she moaned as she swatted the hand away. Her sight was slightly blurry but
she could see that the person in front of her wasn't normal.
A man with white hair and markings on his face kneeled beside her, and Elizabeth
noticed with a trickle of fear that the hand she'd just swatted had claws. Elizabeth looked
around and noticed a green blob rubbing its head where a large bump sat.
The man in front of her said something bringing Elizabeth's eyes back to him. Oh dear,
I can't understand him and I'll bet he doesn't speak a word of English.
"Um, I don't speak
Japanese.", she said hoping by some miracle that he understood. The man tilted his head a moment
but Elizabeth couldn't tell whether or not he was confused, his features never changed.
The man gently raised his hand to her face, making sure she wasn't going to move away
he grabbed her chin and tilted her head where he could look at the spot that hurt so much.
Satisfied with his inspection, he let go and stood. He motioned that Elizabeth should
stand as well and helped her up. Saying something to what Elizabeth could now see was a green
imp, the man walked away and was replaced by a small girl. The girl stared at her like she was
an alien, which Elizabeth thought was kind of funny since she was technically an 'Illegal Alien'.
Elizabeth was drawn out of her thoughts when the child grabbed her hand and began
tugging her behind as she followed the silver haired demon. Letting herself be tugged around,
Elizabeth wondered where they were going. They'd left the little imp behind with what
Elizabeth was hoping was a giant lizard and nothing more.
As they walked Elizabeth began to notice that she had seen some of her surroundings
before. She'd always had a sharp eye and she was thankful for that at the moment. She noticed
a knarled tree she'd seen the day before when she was riding on the cat demon...Kirry, no...
Kirara. At first the little fire demon had grabbed her attention because, well it was cute, but
when she'd transformed into big Kirara, some of that cuteness just ran away and probably
screaming as it went
Elizabeth thought. It had taken a lot of mental pep talk to get her to stradle
the creature.
Looking down Elizabeth noticed the little girl staring at her. The girl smiled and said
something. "I'm sorry what?", Elizabeth asked cocking her head to the side.
The girl lifted her hand to point at herself and repeated, "Rin." Oh, I get it, her name's
Rin.
Elizabeth lifted her own hand and pointed a finger at her chest, "Elizabeth." The girl's
smile only widened as she repeated Elizabeth. Rin had a heavy accent but Elizabeth could
understand her.
Looking up, Elizabeth caught the demon in front of them staring at her. She gave a small
smile, but he simply turned back around to focus on where he was walking. "Sesshomaru...sama."
Rin said pointing to the demon.
Elizabeth focussed on the name and then tried it out, "Sesshoma...aru." Not the best
effort but not the worst either. Suddenly there was a large crash, and when the dust cleared,
Inuyasha stood, glaring at the demon Sesshomaru (Who Elizabeth now realized had a shocking
resemblence to Inuyasha).
Inuyasha began to scream at Sesshomaru in Japanese and Elizabeth could tell that he
wasn't saying anything nice. I wonder if I should be with this demon. Inuyasha sure seems to
dislike him.
Elizabeth thought in her sudden realization that she could be in danger. No, I'm ok
there's the little girl, Rin. She's harmless, so that means Sesshomaru is ok.
On this thought
she looked up to see Kagome trying to talk to Inuyasha.
Elizabeth was so happy to see another person who understood her that she ignored
the two men and ran to Kagome to give her a big hug. "Kagome, I'm so happy to see you. You
can't imagine how it feels not knowing what anyone is saying.", she was crying as she spoke,
but she didn't care. Elizabeth's sword swung against her thigh forgotten for the moment.
Kagome stood surprised before hugging Elizabeth back. "It's alright, you can talk
to me all you want to make up for the time you were gone." Kagome looked over Elizabeth's
shoulder to see Inuyasha staring in astonishment, and Sesshomaru looking curiously at them.
"Um, maybe we should talk before we fight Inuyasha." Kagome said, first looking
at Inuyasha then glancing at Sesshomaru.
"Indeed." was Sesshomaru's only reply.
