Jaylynn tells Inu what's going down.

When they finally arrived at Jaylynn’s office Sango’s mouth dropped open, at the sight of it. It looked like an apartment complex only there was one huge section solely used for that woman’s office.
“ Damn, is everyone rich?” she asked rolling down the driver’s side window
“ I guess,” Inuyasha said getting out the passenger side and walking over to the driver’s side window “ Just come and pick me up in a hour.”
“ You sure you’re okay? I mean you still didn’t tell me what happened to your hand.”
“ I’m fine.” he said sighing then turning to leave
“ You punched something again didn’t you?” she said just as he turned
Inuyasha glanced over his shoulder at her then without answering, walked off toward the building looking at the bandage wrapped around his hand.
“ Idiot.” Sango whispered as she drove off
Once Inuyasha got inside, he checked in with the secretary and sat and waited for Jaylynn to get out of a meeting she was currently in the middle of. As he was waiting he noticed he was getting weird looks from the secretary. After about ten minutes he got fed up with it and marched over to her desk to confront her about it.
“ Can I help you?” she asked in a mock friendly voice
“ Look lady, I’m sorry for giving you a hard time on the phone but is that really a reason to keep shooting me dirty looks? I f you got suttin to say just say it!”
“ Ummm...I didn’t mean too...” she started her facing turning as red as her hair
“ Inuyasha?” said a voice from behind him “ Is there a problem?”
“ No, “ he said turning around to face the dark haired woman “ I’m just asking her to speak up and stop shooting me dirty looks.”
“ Momiji, go on and answer Mr. Taisho’s question.”
“ Very well,” she started with a small smile “ Next time you talk to a person Mr. Taisho you’d do well to have some manners.”
“ Okay,” he said as Momiji’s mouth dropped open “ Let’s go Jaylynn.”
Jaylynn gave Momiji one last nod as Inuyasha followed her into her office. Inuyasha looked around at the large room with the huge window, with the view of the city. He looked around some more and there was a small kitchen, a large desk, and a small backroom. It was basically like a large apartment. Jaylynn Yoshida was incredibly smart and incredibly crafty, her mother was a very close friend of Inuyasha’s father and she was also a close friend of Sesshomaru’s because of it. In actuality Jaylynn was the only person Sesshomaru trusted completely even though she helped out Inuyasha from time to time. She was at least five feet nine inches tall, with shoulder length raven hair, emerald green eyes, and a creamy white complexion. Jaylynn had everything anyone would want and what everyone wanted to be, so naturally she had quite a large ego.
“ Take a seat.” she said sitting down behind her desk “ Like the office?”
“ Looks more like an apartment.” he said sitting down on one of the blue chairs
“ I know, you look good Inu. How have you been?”
“ Can we just get to the point please?” he asked annoyed
“ I guess we should, considering I had to cancel two appointments to see you today. You should feel lucky.” she said glancing down at his hand “ What happened to you hand? I think it’s bleeding.”
Inuyasha quickly folded his arms hiding his hand underneath his left arm. He just wanted to find out what was going on and leave, he didn’t need anymore questioning about his hand. Inuyasha wasn’t stupid, he knew it was going to get infected if he didn’t get it looked at, and he knew he even might need stitches because it kept bleeding. But Inuyasha was stubborn and he didn’t want to even think about it until he knew what was going on. It hurt like hell, but he felt worse pain so he just ignored it and decided to get on with the rest of his day.
“ Nothing, will you just -”
“ Fine, but better get that hand looked at. If you don’t, I will know.”
“ Okay, will you tell me what’s going on with Sesshomaru?”
“ Fine Fine,” she said giving him a look “ Did you know your father was very precise when he made his will? He had every situation covered.”
“ So?”
“ So, it clearly stated that if he died in an accidental situation that Sesshomaru would take you in.”
“ Tch,” he said with a snort “Father must’ve had mental problems when he made that will.”
“ Inuyasha do not speak ill of the dead.” she said sternly
“ Fine, just get to the damn point.”
“ Well, because it was so precise I accidently over looked the part that said if Sesshomaru didn’t take you in he would not be entitled to his half of the money that was left to him until you turned eighteen.”
“ Say what?” he asked not believing what he just heard
“ I think you heard me quite clearly.”
“ No!” he growled loudly “ I’m not going to stay with him!”
“ Do you always growl like that?” she asked chuckling “ That’s kind of hot.”
“ Jay! This is funny to you!?! I’m just one big joke to you?” he yelled
“ Of course not,” she said crossing her legs “ You’re just overreacting, you don’t have to stay with him if you don’t want to.”
“ Jay,” he said standing up leaning over the desk to get more in her face “ Have you suddenly gone stupid? You know how far Sesshomaru will go to get what he wants?”
“ Which is precisely why I worked out a deal with him.” she said with a smile “ Believe me he feels the same way you do about this.”
“ Good.” he said inadvertently flinching at what she just said “ Wait, not good. What’s the deal?”
“ Did Rin tell you about this?”
“ What?” he asked confused at why she changed the subject so suddenly
“ Rin? She told you about all this huh?”
“ Sort of,” he paused “ How did you know?”
“ I always know.”
“ Of course,” he said sarcastically, rolling his eyes “ How stupid of me.”
“ How is your friend? Sango right? You two are at the same home now I believe and her brother, how is he?”
“ Quit trying to change the fucking subject and tell me the deal you made with him!”
“ Only if you growl again.” she responded standing up until they’re faced were inches a part
Inuyasha quickly backed up, getting suddenly nervous. He wasn’t sure if Jaylynn was actually hitting on him or just teasing him, but when she saw the look on his face she instantly began to laugh making Inuyasha realize that she was just teasing him.
“ Jaylynn...” he said threateningly trying hard to suppress another growl
“ Oh sorry,” she said as her laughter subsided “ You are just too cute.”
“ Jaylynn, will you quite fucking around!”
“ Oh Fine, “ she said sitting back down “ You’re no fun.”
“ Well, sorry I haven’t had the best week.”
“ Anyway, “ she said getting right to the point “ I told Sesshomaru if he at least made an effort to spend time with you and so on and so forth, then I’d over look it and unfreeze his accounts.”
“ No.” he stated simply
“ I knew you’d say that, which is why I ‘m telling you. I don’t want to make this easy for him, he needs to learn how not to be an asshole. Also you’d have to spend some weekends with him and yadda yadda, it’s all in the contract he made me draw up.”
“ Fuck that!” he yelled “ Especially, because he’s just doing this shit to get his money back. That fucker better not come anywhere near me! And I’ll make sure of it to.”
“ Inuyasha stop talking to yourself.”
“ Is that all Jay?”
“ Yes, that’s all.”
“ Are you fucking him?” he asked suddenly
“ Excuse me?”
“ You and Sesshomaru, are you together?”
“ Of course not to both questions,” she said rather calmly “ You heard those rumors to huh? I’m not surprised since Sess is working for your foster mom’s company. Why did you ask? Are you jealous?” she asked standing back up and giving him a poke on the shoulder
“ Can I go?”
“ In a minute,” she said picking up her desk phone “ Sit back down please.”
Inuyasha sat mulling over what Jaylynn just told him, totally blocking out the conversation she was having with whomever she was talking to. Just as soon as she hung up the phone, she stood up motioning for Inuyasha to follow. Not really caring he got up and followed her out of her office. Once she told Momiji that she was going out they walked down the stairs and out of the building.
“ Jay, where are we going?”
“ You’ll see.” she said simply picking up the pace
She walked around the building to a different side which looked like another office of some kind. After walking around, she knocked on a brown door that was clearly locked. No sooner had she knocked, then a woman in a lab coat opened the door. She looked a bit like Jaylynn’s secretary only she had this strange blueish-black hair color.
“ Miss Yoshida, right on time.” she said with a smile “ Come on in.”
After entering the building, the woman lead Inuyasha to a small room which looked like a doctor’s office. After sitting down he looked up at the ceiling still dazed not really caring what was happening.
“ Alrighty,” the woman said closing the door as Jaylynn sat down “ Let me see that hand.”
“ What? Jay, I told you I was -”
“ Fine, I know,” she said suddenly annoyed “ I didn’t believe you. Now, let the damn doctor see your hand.”
“ Who the hell is this?” he yelled not caring that the doctor was getting annoyed
“ That is Dr. Miyake, she is Momiji’s sister. You know, my secretary.”
“ I don’t mean to be rude sir,” she said as politely as possible “ But would you please show me your hand?”
“ Sorry Botan, I didn’t realize he was such a baby.”
Sighing in defeat he held up his hand for the doctor to look at. The bandage he hand on was now soaked in blood, and when the she peeled off the bandage Jaylynn almost gasped.
“ Inuyasha what the fuck did you do!?!”
“ That actually is a relevant question,” Botan said fixing her gloves “ How did you do that? And don’t lie, I’m sure Miss Yoshida will know.”
Inuyasha looked down at his hand, it more gashed up than he realized. He hand deep cuts all over his fist and one looked like it almost reached the bone. When Inuyasha didn’t answer the doctor decided just to ask by what it seemed to be. This wasn’t the first time she’d seen something like this. She took a closer look trying to be as gentle as possible, by looking at the cuts it seemed it was caused by glass of some kind.
“ Inuyasha, did you punch something made of glass?”
“ A Mirror.” he said simply not really caring anymore
“ Inuyasha!?!’ Jaylynn yelled going into mother mode “ Why would you do something like that?”
“ Cause I fucking felt like it okay!” he yelled back
“ Well,” the Botan said getting both of their attention “ He’ll need stitches, we can do that right now and of course it’ll need to be checked first to make sure there isn’t any mirror shards in there.”
“ Inuyasha do I need to speak with your foster parents about getting you counseling? If you can’t do that at least talk to me? Or that friend of yours? God damn it Inuyasha! Do something besides punch mirrors!”
“ Where do I go to get this fixed up?” he asked Dr. Miyake totally ignoring Jaylynn
“ Follow me.” she answered leaving the room as Jaylynn hurried behind them to make sure she got her point across to Inuyasha.
