I Am His By: Taiyoukai Kagome Chapter One   Kagome stood at the top of the hill, which gave her a spectacular look over the whole of the western lands. His lands. She sighed heavily and the Shikon no Kakera tinkled together in the small bottle she used to store them. She hugged herself then she felt arms wrap around her waist, she turned to look into golden eyes then settle onto the violet crescent moon. She reached up, her hands touching the magenta stripes that resided on her love’s cheeks, “Sesshomaru…” she whispered.   The man that held her nodded, pressing a kiss to her forehead, then trailing it down to her neck. Kagome shuddered and the man smirked, “come away with me, my dove.”   Kagome giggled, “sure… why not?”   The man stoic face exploded into a million emotions and he smiled, really, smiled. She traced the magenta stripes on his cheek before kissing him fully on the lips and then settling into his arms. She rolled over, her hand hitting something soft, she grabbed it pulled it towards her and hugged it gently. “Sesshomaru…….”   Inu Yasha, from the guard point in his tree, looked onto the sleeping Kagome, Dropped-mouthed and all, he couldn’t believe what he had heard. Kagome… HIS Kagome… was dreaming about… Sesshomaru?! He growled to himself, but why? He furrowed his brows in thought, could she be loosing interest in him? Could he have waited too long? Could she have given up on him? Inu Yasha bit his bottom lip, hurt panged through his heart. But his attention was soon caught again by her, as she sat up suddenly, cold sweat trickling down her face and her breathing rapid. What the hell?! One minute she’s dreaming happily, the next she’s having a nightmare! Inu Yasha jumped down, despite everyone staring, he brought her into his arms and she clung to his haori, her small frame shaking.   “Oh…. Inu-kun… it was horrible… he killed me…. killed all of us… killed you… Naraku… I’m scared…” She mumbled drowsily and clung tighter, not even realizing what she called Inu Yasha nor that her friends were string intently at them.   Inu Yasha, for once, didn’t give a damn. It was the middle of the night, Kagome had a nightmare, and he was going to fix it. Shippo sat looking at his mama, worried. “What are you going to do Inu Yasha?”   “Shuhh, kit, come here.” He adjusted Kagome to sit in his lap and he leaned up against a tree then motioned for the kit to take his place back in his mothers arms. He snuggled up against her heart and Inu Yasha pulled the fuzzy blanket around the three of them. He had ignored the glances of a certain monk and taijiya this entire time, he did not even look at them now.   Kagome’s shudders had stopped and she was peacefully sleeping again, Shippo hugged tightly to her chest. He head rested in the crook of Inu Yasha’s neck. He gripped her tighter to him, she calmed and her breathing evened, “thank you… Inu-kun….” She kissed his neck, and fell asleep. Inu Yasha blinked, she confuses me so much… but I can’t help not to hate it when she’s in distress…Inu Yasha looked over her face, ashy lashes on glowing skin and raven locks accenting it. She’s such… an angel… and I go after Kikyo… how stupid can I get? Inu Yasha kissed the sleeping Kagome on the fore head and she seemed to react, pulling her self closer. “…Inu Yasha… I can’t….”   Another dream? Inu Yasha sighed, and hugged Kagome tighter, “can’t what?” he replied softly only for her ears to hear.   She seemed to pause, like taking in a shuddering breath, “I can’t… I can’t fall… fall…in love…”   He stared at her, “why not?”   “He would forbid it of me… I am… his.”   Inu Yasha growled to himself, “who?”   “Sesshomaru…” she went slack, falling into a dreamless slumber.   He blinked, “what the hell?!” He looked to her, a beautiful maiden, tucked away safely in his arms… and… Kagome had gripped onto the front of his haori, whimpering. And yet… so defenseless… Inu Yasha, shook his head, disregarding the sleepy conversation he had with her, considering it apart of her dream and kissed her forehead again, her whimpering stopped and she seemed to smile and sigh in contentment. “Inu-kun… you’re warm… I don’t wanna leave.”   “You don’t have to…” he mumbled, falling into his own stupor. “You don’t have to.”   She seemed to laugh then she kissed him on the neck again, “good.”   They both fell into silent and dreamless sleep, each wrapped up in each other.   A smirking monk looked upon a dropped-mouthed taijaya, “did you see that? The practically acted like lovers with out even taking a notice to us.”   “I know… houshi, I know… it’s weird though.” Sango went into though.   “What is, my butterfly?” He said, pulling Sango into his lap and pressing a kiss to her forehead.   “Why she said that Sesshomaru would forbid her from falling in love. And why she said she was his.” Sango sighed, “I do know though… that if Inu Yasha were to marry-well-mate with Kagome he would have to go to Sesshomaru first, since he owns the lands Inu Yasha lives on.   Miroku, looked on at her, as the pieces fell into place, “that would mean… he would forbid it… but… she saying the ‘she is his’ part… is confusing.”   Sango nodded and sighed, rubbing her temples, then shaking her head. “Eh… I think I’ll just sleep on it and let it rest until we start moving again… I never really have much to think about anymore when were on the move, especially since the recent defeat of Naraku…”   “Not much to think about… huh?” Miroku pressed a kiss to Sango’s neck, her cheek then to her lips. He parted it, only to hear Sango give a slight whimper, he chuckled, “kukuku, in time, my dear, in time.”   She whapped him playfully, “dirty houshi.”   ”Only for you.” “I do hope so.” * * * Kagome stirred the next morning, feeling something warm wrapped about her. She looked into the red of a certain hanyou’s haori. She stared, dropped-mouthed. I’m in his arms?! Why? She suddenly remembered her dream from last night, how it went from … wait… her brows furrowed, she couldn’t even remember what she had dreamed! She sighed, it was probably of no importance then. She sighed, wondering how she was going to get out of the protective hanyou’s arms. She smirked, her hands going to his sides and tickling. He didn’t react as quick as she thought he would, but she smirked, and took to tickling her sides, where Kagome exploded into a series of giggles, obviously realizing he had won this tickle war. “Inu Yasha!!!”   Miroku jolted, staring wide eyed at the two, Sango following almost immediately, “geebus! Could you do THAT somewhere else?! And let the rest of us sleep!”   Kagome’s and Inu Yasha’s face turned bright red and Inu Yasha growled. Kagome rolled her eyes, “aww… don’t let them ruin it!”   Sango stared, Inu Yasha raised an eyebrow at Kagome, who was now pouting like a six-year-old. Miroku gave a smirk and so did Inu Yasha, “fine, I won’t.” He picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder and then picking up her backpack and taking her to the nearest hot spring.   She blinked, “why’d you bring me here?”   “Cause you were going to ask.” He smirked, setting her down with her bag.   “You know me that well?” She smiled.   He shrugged, “I guess I should, shouldn’t I, Kagome?”   She stared at him, a certain sparkle had gone through his eyes that made her face heat up. She nodded  hastily and looked into his glazing golden eyes, he shook his head, turned away and sat down, pulling the card pack out of her backpack and seemed to start playing what looked like solitaire.   He looked up at her, “well, are you going to stand there all day? You know, I may be patient for awhile, but you’re already wearing it thin.”   She jumped out of her thoughts, rummaged through her bag for the usual stuff and rushed off to the hot spring, “n-”   “No peeking, I know.” He said, distractedly. He was obviously focused on the game.   AS she peeled off her clothing, she stared at him as she slipped into the water, “he acting… nice… why? I guess he just has less things on his mind… ever since the defeat of Naraku. She shrugged and went about with her bath.   Inu Yasha sighed, finally hearing her start washing herself and humming a tune. He looked down at the cards, gave a long hard look at them then gave up trying to concentrate on them. His senses focused on Kagome, and he leaned back, looking up at the sky. Kagome’s eyes moved to Inu Yasha again, he had laid back and was staring sky ward, “daydreaming?” She asked herself. She finished her bath, dried and dressed. She gathered up her stuff and headed back over to her bag, placing all the stuff into it then took a seat next to Inu Yasha, his eyes moved to her and she smiled.   He returned the smile and saw that her hair was still dripping wet, he sat up and grabbed the towel she had just used and tackled her hair with it. “Inu Yasha! What are you doing?”   “Drying your hair. There’s a cold breeze coming from the north… you’ll get sick.” Their eyes had locked and Kagome’s cheeks took a pinkish hue. He shook his head, smiling and went on about drying her hair. He pulled out the thing that Kagome had told him was a ‘brush’ yet it had small plastic like sticks on it, placed evenly through out the base. He tackled her hair with this next, careful of snags.   “This is nice…” Kagome said, her eyes closing in comfort. “My father used to brush my hair for me…”   Inu Yasha smiled, focusing on the snag he had caught and when it came lose, set the brush down and wrapped his arms around Kagome’s shoulders, “really?”   She nodded, forcing back the shiver his silky voice gave her, she looked up at the sky, not a cloud in it, just pure clean blue. “I’m…. happy.”   He looked to her, “so am I.”   “It feels… like a boulder has been lifted from my shoulders… yet… I feel uneasy… like… something else is going to happen.” She leaned into Inu Yasha and his arms slipped down to her waist, pulling her close. “But… maybe not…”   The said cold breeze blew roughly and Kagome shivered, Inu Yasha smirked, “I told you.”   “Ok, dog-boy.” She smirked back, a playful glare gracing her features. He tackled her, pinning her to the ground and resumed the tickle war that was interrupted earlier.   * * *   Miroku looked towards the way that Inu Yasha had leapt, concern crossing his featured yet he smirked, “do you think he took me seriously?”   “I wouldn’t think why not.” Sango snickered.   Miroku hugged her, “ah… you are bad.”   “I get it from you.” She hugged him, then kissed him passionately on the lips.   Shippo, who was playing with Kirara, rolled his eyes, what in the world is going on with these people?!   “Miao.”Kirara mewed softly, and as if she had read Shippo’s thoughts, shrugged.
