Original Poetry Fan Fiction ❯ My poetry ❯ Through the looking glass ( Chapter 6 )

Through the looking glass:

Through the looking glass,
The world passes him by,
He watches,
He observes,
But yet the world notices him not.

A glimmer of hope,
A flickering light,
which pervades the loneliness he feels,
Light up his eyes.
For a fleeting moment,
He longs to be noticed.

The world outside,
So strange yet so intriguing,
Fascinates him,
But yet he sits there,
Watching it pass him by,
Too scared to relieve his suffering,
To scared to end his lonely existance.

He longs to belong,
A friend, a parent, a sister,
All had abandoned him,
He had nothing left,
Nothing to live for,
Except the world outside his looking glass.

His expression carved into stone,
He sits there,
Looking through the glass,
Waiting, hoping-
For a kind word,
A friendly gesture.
He waits,
He longs,
He yearns,
To be accepted for who he is.
