"This Is For You, Mom"

This is for you, mom, on this special day

It really is hard to express what I want to say

But I want you to know how I really feel

Words are just words, actions are more real.

You're always there whenever I need you

You're a parent, a teacher, and a friend, too

You're a shoulder to cry on whenever I'm down

And you're there to make sure I never frown.

Now I'm wishing you time to relax for a while

Wishing you moments that brings you a smile

Wishing you closeness of family and friends

Wishing you good times that simply won't end.

But with this short poem, I wanted to say

I may have grown up but I'll always stay

That whatever I do or wherever I go

I will always love you so.
