Original Poetry Fan Fiction ❯ The Unlikely Poet's Notebook ❯ So Different ( Chapter 27 )

[ A - All Readers ]
As in love as we were
Our interests were divided
I did not deserve her
So the Fates decided

She, so clever and witty
Her mind sharper than any blade
While both beautiful and pretty
The one true perfection God made

Artistic and dramatic
The theatre, her spirit's home
Perhaps I'm being drastic
As my memories I comb

Whilst I, a lazy lad
Withdrawn too far for life
Was happy I finally had
Someone to curb the strife

Simple and tentative
I admired her passion and fire
But I could never live
Up to her desire

So different were we
Yet so blindly in love
That we would not see
The sword hanging above

Too different, Her and I
But still I love her so
As sure as mourners cry
My darkness continues to grow
