A free verse peom that I wrote to get some closure on a realationship that ended badly. Not really angst, more like an "I'm over you now" type of poem. Please review. I would really like some input on my style of writing since I don't write poetry all that often, but would like to improve.

A Free-verse Poem Dedicated To My Ex:

I met you

While I was still lost

Looking for who I really was

I was an opportunity

To you

Just another soul to save

When I found who I really was

I was so happy

But you hated what you saw

The vision you held so dear

Of your perfect girl

Disappeared

I had to get out

Away from you

I wanted to be free

I admit it

I said some things

Things I regret

But

I'm not sorry

Not at all

Because

You see

I believe

You had no right

No justification

To say:

“The girl I knew

The girl I loved

Is dead”
