“So, you’re saying you don’t love me?” Ash replied gently, amazed at his wife’s comment.


“Just said it, didn’t I?” She snarled, furious at his audacity. “I hate you.”


“But Mist, it was only a one night stand-”


“I DON’T CARE!” The female screamed, throwing his already packed bags at him. “I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN, YOU UNFAITHFUL BASTARD!”


Ash was crying silently, the sound of his misery being drowned out by that of his partner’s.


“But what about…?” The trainer queried, lowering his gaze to her ripened stomach.


“I’ll look after him myself,” she growled, backing away possessively. “If you can do this to his mother, then what damage could you inflict on him?”


“Misty, please-”


“GET LOST!” The terracotta-tousled woman shrieked, grabbing his upper arm and escorting him to the door, opening it and throwing him from the doorstep and into the front garden.


With a final sob, she slammed the slat of wood behind him, and collapsed against the closed doorframe, weeping heavily.
