I sighed in content, reading a calming, but exciting book, own of my hands gently stroking his soft, snowy white blond hair as he pressed against my side, wrapped securely in cashmere blanket. Even though at 18 years of age, the time when most people wouldn't even think of caring for a ward and would focus on their lives and finishing their education, I didn't regret taking him in-15 years old. His dark pink lips-almost red-curved up in a sweet smile in his sleep, washy blue eyes closed, as he snuggled closer. I looked away, smiling as I gently patted his hair.
