Chapter 1- Zoisite and Ami
Ami arrived at the club where Zander (Zoisite) told her to
meet. ‘I wonder why he wants me to be here where I first met Nishio
Toshiyuki who played his beautiful song from the Internet?’ she
thought. Stopping at the door, she took a minute to make sure she
looked Ok. ‘Zander said it was very important so he gave me one of
his latest creations.’ She straightened her blue dress (a version of
her princess gown, just short to the knee!). ‘Strange,’ she thought.
‘When he designed this for me, I get the feeling I’ve worn it before,
but it was long to my ankles.’ Shrugging, she let herself in the
club.
“Oh!” Marveled, Ami took in the surroundings. There was a
runway from where she stood to the middle of the club. As she took
her first step forward, music blasted from speakers, and then a
spotlight hit her. Another spotlight showed Zander from the other
side of the room, holding a microphone. He was wearing a handsome
dark grey suit which made him look so general-like.
He spoke into the microphone, “And here is lovely Ami
Mizuno walking down the runway in the latest creation from Etisioz
Fashions!” He gestured her to start walking. Blushing and giggling,
Ami placed a hand on her hip and walked casually as the spotlight
followed her. Zander continued, “In the future, she will be a doctor,
but for today, she’s a model wearing a special design that brings out
her intellectuality, her modesty, and most of all, her beauty!”
Laughing, Ami reached the end of the runway. “Zander, what
is this?” Smiling, Zander snapped his fingers, and the music stopped,
and another spotlight showed a piano at the corner of the club. Ami
gasped as she saw Nishio seated at the piano, and by the piano was
his girlfriend, Kyoko, also holding a microphone.
At Zander’s nod of his head, Nishio started playing. Ami
covered her mouth in shock as she recognized Nishio’s music and Kyoko
was singing it with the lyrics that she wrote for them! Tears form in
her eyes. Putting down his microphone, Zander walked from his spot to
the walkway. When Kyoko finished singing, he had already stepped onto
the platform and stood in front of Ami. Nishio kept playing as Kyoko
walked over and sat next to him.
“Great news,” he said. “A record company wants to promote
Nisho’s music, and he and Kyoko want to use your lyrics. The company
will give you a fair percentage since you’re the lyricist.”
“Oh, Nishio and Kyoko! Congratulations!” Ami said, facing
them as she wiped her eyes.
“Actually, that’s not the real reason that we set this all
up,” Zander said.
“Huh?” she wondered, turning back to him. Then her heart
started beating fast as Zander got down on one knee.
“My lovely Ami,” he began. “Ever since we met again in
this lifetime, you have filled my life with such happiness. You made
me feel like I am more than just a popular image. You see me for who
I am, and I feel more who I really am because of you. Without you, I
am not me, and I don’t want to be without you.”
Ami choked on a sob as Zander reached into his pocket. He
produced a small velvet blue box and opened it. It was a beautiful
gold ring with a zoisite for its stone. “I love you. Will you…” he
softly asked. “…marry me, Ami Mizuno?”
Tears fell down her cheeks as she nodded. “Yes…I will. I
love you, too, Zander Etisioz.”
Giving a happy laughter, he stood up, took her left hand,
and placed the ring on her ring finger. He embraced her, and she held
on tightly, muffling her sobs in his chest. Then he lifted her chin
and kissed her as the piano stopped playing.
They were oblivious to the clapping sounds of Nishio and
Kyoko.
