A flash of lightning blinded a nearby girl. She limped towards Shute's workshop, tired. When she almost got there though, she fell on the ground, the wet earth acting like a trampoline under her weight, moving up and down, to the sleep-depressed human. In one hand, she held a green jewel, in bedded in a circular shaped metal blue base. The curly haired girl whimpered, wondering if she was too late. Her normally golden colored hair was now brown, soaked from the downpour. All she could do was sob. She knew she was going to be too late, the Dark Axis was going to strike, soon. She couldn't defend herself like this, yet, even if she had her armor, she didn't have the energy to fight.
“Please, don't let your secret fall into the wrong hands…” She dropped the jewel, trying to get up herself. She lied in the grass, as the jewel pulsed, changing from teal-green to grass green, about twice each second.

“Zero, what's up?” Shute asked the Winged Knight innocently, seeing that there was something on his mind more than the game.
`Should I tell them? Or can I even trust them with the knowledge of that ability.' Zero pondered this more, and then took a breath. But before he could, the sound of another trozei match filled the air. This time, Captain, out of curiosity, grabbed Shute's DS to battle Bakunetsumaru in the puzzle game. By the way Baku was fretting though, it looked as if he was going to add another loss to his list. But then again, Captain was good at this type of stuff, since the game is all hand-eye coordination and brain power, which Captain had plenty of each. Zero, being courteous, waited until his rival lost to his opponent before speaking to them.
“As the four of you know very well, there were four mystical beasts, the ones that we know of are the Griffin, the Feather Dragon (Fenn), and the Steel Dragon. But there was also said of another power in Lacroa, that could change time.” Shute looked at the other two gundam; Captain was taking everything in, while Baku seemed to shrug it off. “It was given to a human, and as fate would have it, the human died in a battle against some raiders who are like the Dark Axis. The raiders thought that they could then take the power for themselves, but a nearby mage took the soul of the warrior's soul, and put it into a gunsoul.” That got everyone's attention. Shute jumped up as if Zero cursed, Baku's eyes were as big as dinner plates, and Captain used his shocked emotion programming for the first time. As they had known from their journeys in Ark, gundam with gunsouls were allowed a second life in a new generation, while humans went somewhere. Never had there been a crossover of the two.
“Are you sure that's not just a legend?” The legend of the four beasts was just a legend before, that was, until Tallgeese, a dark knight who was no longer in the leagues of Lacroa, found and released the Griffin, and Fenn turned out to be the Feather Dragon. Baku didn't like the thought of one of the gundam that he fought with was once a human.
“I KNOW this is true, and for a special reason.” Every moved in closer than before, not sure of what they'll be told. When Zero whispered it to them, all four had shocked faces.
“No… nonononono!” Shute muttered as he stepped back.
“I knew there was something about you I didn't like (besides being pansy), and I didn't know that…” Baku said, taking more steps back. He looked out the window to see that the rain had stopped, then at the little child, seeing that Nana was asleep, seeing that the gundam's attention went from her to what Zero told them.
Shute looked at his watch, which read 3:49. “Oh, crap! We're going to miss the concert! Mom should have been back by now!” There was a knock on the door, as Shute's mother opened the door.
“You better hurry, the concert's starting in thirty minutes!

At the city talent show, which was also called a concert, there was going to be groups coming in to compete for the title, while there were others who were doing it for fun, and then others still, who wanted to get into a group. So far, many good groups went up, and the decision was tough. Of course, all bands were amateurs, so none of them were really known. It was now time for the final singer, a girl who was new to the town. Shute never recognized her, and neither did Zero, Baku, or Captain. The loud speaker turned on, announcing the final performance.
“For our final entrée, we have Fukuku Sigien with the song, `Dreams of An Absolution'!” The song started out with a ringing melody, which was followed up by the sound of an electrical bass.

“Dreaming of an absolution.” Fukuku was glad she was able to find shelter, to give her some time to clean up. From what she remembered, she was told that the people who she was looking for were here, watching the concert. She was glad for the extra t-shirt that she brought for this. She didn't expect to win anything, but the success of her mission with this. It fit the mission perfectly, past, present, and future, they all were going to crash if she didn't succeed. She tapped her foot to the beat, making sure that she had the time signature right. Four-four, the type she was used to.
“In the nightlight, do you see what you dream? Are your troubles, are they are what they seem? Look around you, then you may realize, all the creatures saw with the light! And I might know of our future, but then you still control the past. Only you know if we'll be together, only you know if we shall last!” Fukuku was nervous. This song was one of the fastest she knew, and if she slipped on a word, she was done for! The song went smoothly so far, and now it was the most nerve-wrecking part of the song, the chorus. Sure, everyone should know it, which was the nervous part of it. If she went too fast or too slow, she'd get humiliated.

Zero was at awe of the song. He heard other great ones, but this maiden did it so smooth, like she knew it forever. It was recently released, though. The part of the music that got Zero was the fact that it talked of the future and the past. Zero suspected that there was more to this girl than what she seemed to be. Yet again, this was a popular one, with three remixes all over the place. He couldn't help but wonder though, how ironic the song was to the day. Zero clapped with the others when Fukuku (which Baku translated to Foxx from his original language, Japanese) took a bow at the end of the song.

“Com'on, just long enough to hear who the winner is! Besides, they got a rice-ball buffet afterwards!” The rice-ball buffet got Baku to agree with Shute, but Zero and Captain were refusing.
“Your mother will want you back soon, tomorrow's school for you.” While Shute argues with Captain, Zero felt someone tap his shoulder. He turned, seeing that it was…..
