[ P - Pre-Teen ]

It had been a year since Burlow, Maria, Guerin and Tails had saved Shadow from Eggman.
Burlow and Maria were thirteen years old now, their friendship stronger than ever. Gierin was
now the new guardian for the Master emerald, twelve years of age and still bad at treasure
hunting as ever. Tails was studying the chaos emeralds, now twenty-seven years old.

Meanwhile, Eggman was on ARK studying the chaos emeralds as well, he discovered a new
power that the chaos emeralds possessed. With this new power, he could become invincible and
get rid of Sonic and his 'pesky' son, Burlow.

Burlow had been having trouble with three fourteen year-old hedgehogs, they were big, mean,
ugly bullies known as Larry, Lenny and Louis. One day, Burlow was going to take a morning run
when the brothers came and started taunting him.

"Hey, Burlow! Why do you always hang around with girls and a mutant freak when you could be
friends with us?!"Larry asked.

Burlow was outraged.

"NOBODY talks that way about Miles Prower, Gierin the Echidnat or Maria the Hedgehog in
front of me!"Burlow exclaimed, he prepared to beat the shit out of the brothers but refused and
continued on running.

Later, Gierin called Burlow to tell him that Eggman had tried to steal the Master emerald.
Burlow went over to Angel Island, as usual, there was no sound accept for the sound of Rouge
snoring.

"I think we should go see Tails about this."Burlow said.

"Why?"Gierin asked.

"Because every time someone tries to steal the Master emerald, something is going on. Tails
will know what's going on."Burlow said.

Burlow and Gierin went to Tails' lab, he was glad to see them.

"Come on in, guys."Tails said.

"Wow, I like what you've done with the place."Burlow said.

Burlow glanced over to the table where there was a chaos emerald.






"What's with the chaos emerald?"Burlow asked.

"I've been studying the chaos emeralds and I've discovered a new power."Tails said.

"What?"Gierin asked.

"When all seven chaos emeralds are brought together, you can wish for anything you want, no
matter what it is."Tails replied.

"Cool!"Burlow and Gierin said at the same time.

"Would you guys like to find them?"Tails asked.

"Sure. Do we all get a wish?"Gierin asked.

"Yes."Tails replied.

"Then let's go!"Burlow said. "Can I bring Maria along? She might be helpful."

"Sure, it doesn't matter to me."Tails said.

Burlow ran to the mountains to find Maria.

"God, how can she live here? It's freezing."Burlow thought.

Burlow noticed a large house in the distance, that had to be Maria's house. He knocked on the
door, Shadow answered the door, his arm was still in a cast.

"Hi, Shadow. Is Maria home?"Burlow asked.

"Yeah, hold on a sec." Shadow replied as he went upstairs to get Maria.

In a few seconds, Maria came to the door. Burlow hadn't seen her in a while but he still
recognized that beautiful black and red hedgehog.

"Hi, Burlow. What brings you all the way up here?"Maria asked, she noticed Burlow was
shivering.

"Burlow, please come in. You're going to get sick."







Burlow told Maria about the new power that had been discovered in the chaos emeralds and
asked her if she wanted to come.

"Would you like to come?"Burlow asked.

"Well, I want to but I can't. I have to keep an eye on my dad."Maria replied.

"No, I'll be fine, go ahead."Shadow said.

Shadow wanted to talk to Burlow before he left with Maria.

"Burlow, I want you to know that I do think of you as a friend but if you to anything to my
daughter then I'll hunt you down and kill you. I mean it!"Shadow said.

Burlow took Shadow's word seriously but he wouldn't do anything to Maria, he wasn't a sick
pervert but Shadow wasn't taking any chances.

At Tails' lab, they were trying to find out where the closest chaos emerald was. It was in the
Capital City. It was night time when they got there.

"So where is it?"Burlow asked.

At that moment, a stranger jumped at Burlow and hugged him around the waist.

"Burlow! I can't believe you finally came here, I've missed you so much!"the stranger said.

"Who are you?"Burlow asked.

"You mean you don't remember me?"

"No, who are you?"

"I'm your little sister, Sarah!"the girl said cheerfully.

"Sarah?"Burlow looked at the stranger, she was blue and her eyes were green. Burlow knelt
down on his knees and hugged his sister tightly.

"Sarah, I didn't recognize you with that crazy hair due."Burlow whispered. "Hey, guys. This is
my little sister, Sarah."







"Hi, Sarah! How've ya been?"Gierin said.

"Hey, Sarah."Tails said.

Sarah ran up to Tails and hugged him.

"Sarah, this is my good friend, Maria."Burlow said.

"Hello."Maria said.

"Hi."Sarah replied, shaking Maria's hand.

"So, this is your girlfriend?"Sarah whispered to Burlow, making extra sound to the word
'girlfriend'. Burlow hit her in the back of the head.

"Anyway, Sarah, where is mom?"Burlow asked.

"She's at home, I was just going to the pharmacy."Sarah said. "If you want, I can take you to see
mom."

"I'd love to see her."

So, Sarah went to the pharmacy and in a few minutes, they were going to see Burlow and
Sarah's mother.(If you don't know who she is, then keep reading.)

"Mom, I'm home!"Sarah said when she opened the front door to the house. "You guys stay here,
I'll tell you when you can come in."

Sarah walked into a bedroom.

"Hi, mom. I got your medicine."Sarah said.

"Thank you, sweetheart."

Sarah filled the small container on top of the lid of the medicine bottle about half way and gave
it to her mother. Burlow looked over to the familiar pink hedgehog that he knew as his mother.

"Mom, we have some visitors."Sarah said.

"We do?"

"Come on in, Burlow!"Sarah said.




Burlow walked into the bedroom.

"Hi, mom."Burlow said.

"Oh Burlow, my son. I've missed you so much."Amy said.

"I've missed you too. What happened to you?"

"She has a bad case of pneumonia. No matter what we do, it won't go away. This medicine is
her last chance."Sarah said.

"But why haven't you called me or dad?"Burlow asked.

"I've been feeling so bad, I can't even get up to use the phone and Sarah can't use the phone in
any way for squat."Amy replied.

"I can dial the number for you. Dad really wants to talk to you."Burlow said.

He dialed the number and handed the phone to Amy.

"Hello?"Sonic said over the phone.

"Hi, Sonic. It's Amy."

"Amy, what's wrong? You sound sick."

"I am, it's pneumonia."

They spent a lot of time talking.

"Well, can I talk to Sarah?"Sonic asked.

"Certainly, goodbye. I love you, Sonikku."Amy said.

" 'Love you too, Ames."

Sarah took the phone.









"Hi, daddy."Sarah said.

"Hello, Sarah."Sonic replied. "Have you been taking care of your mother?"

"I've been doing my best."

"That's good. Not a whole lot has happened over here on South Island, I wish I could see you in
person. Maybe after your mother gets well, we can see each other again."

"I hope so, I've missed you a lot."

"Heh heh, ditto. Well, I need to go. Goodbye, sweetheart. I love you."

" 'Love you too."

Sarah put the phone back.
