Chapter 17: Last day Together.

“ Your Moving!?”, asked a shocked Sonic.

“ Unfortionately Yes. I’m Moving to Jump city which is all the way cross country.”, replied Terra in a sad tone.

“ When does this happen?”, asked Sonic.

“ In a few days from now.”, answerd Terra.

“ O, man How come you have to move?”, asked a sadened Sonic.

“ My dad’s boss is moving him to a new location, I tried to convice him to get a new job but it didn’t work.”, said Terra now crying on the phone slightly.

“ Hey I know, How about we spend Tomorrow together.”, said Sonic.

Terra replied, “ I wish I could spend tomorrow together, but I have to help the family move.Wait a minute, Can you hold on a sec”, asked Terra.

“ Sure”, replied Sonic.

Then Sonic could hear a voice from Terra’s line was heard Saying “ Go with him, This is the one you love, You father and I will take care of the house other than your personal stuff.

” “Mom…I ”, Terra was about to say but was cutt off.

"Hush dear,go be with him.” Terra then smiled at her mom and went back to the phone and asked, “ So , did you have anywhere in mind?”

"No, I was hoping you can come up with a place this time.”, replied Sonic.

“ Actually..there is this.. wait a sec, Would you happen to have some nice cloths to wear at special ocassions?”, asked Terra hoping the answer was yes.

“ Something formal eh? Actually I have a Tux I use for weddings and such. Where did you have in mind.”

Terra just said with her playful tone, “ You’ll See, but could you come to my house at around 6pm tomorrow?”

“ Sure thing.”, replied Sonic.

“ aww thanks for doing this, we have it covered. but listen I have to go do a some stuff for tomorrow. Sorry.”, said Terra.

“ o By the way I’ll be glad to help you guys pack tomorrow before we go. That’s if you guys need any”, suggested Sonic.

“ Just a second.”, replied Terra.

Terra came back on the line and said, “ nah that’s okay, My mom says a bunch of friends are going to help out tomorrow, Thanks for offering though. I have to go now though, sorry about that.”

“ It’s okay, I’ll see ya tomorrow.”, said Sonic.

“ bye Sonic.”, said Terra.

They both hung up. Sonic then went to his bed and fell on it with mixed feelings of happiness that they will be together tomorrow and sad because she’s moving the next day.

Needless to say Sonic was not able to sleep for a while.

“ A formal huh? That’s not like you”, said Elizabeth.”

"Yea, I thought since I didn’t dress pretty before, I thought I would dress pretty for him on this last one.”, replied Terra.

‘ But do you even have a dress?”, asked Elizabeth.

“ I was going to buy one tomorrow morning.”, answered Terra.

“ Terra, I have something you might like. Follow me”, said Elizabeth.

“ Really.”, asked Terra as she followd Elizabeth to the parents bed room.

Elizabeth the opened a closet and pulled out a red sparkling strapless dress, wrapped with plastic to preserve it along with matching high heel shoes.

Elizabeth then spoke, “ This is the dress I wore for my first dance with your father. Do you like it?”

Terra replied,“ It’s So pretty, I .. love it. Thank you. Thank you so much. It’s just so sad this will be our last day together”

They both hugged then Terra took the dress to her room and put it in her own closet.

The next day, at around 5:30pm, Sonic was in a black Tux with a white collared shirt Underneith, along with a black Tie and his favorate red shoes were replaced by nice black Shoes.

He wasn’t wearing gloves. Fortionately The spikes On Sonis’s back were not stiff, so the tux wasn’t damaged at all.

“Good Thing I saved this.” Thought Sonic as he was finishing putting on his tie.

He grabbed his wallet with about $200 in it.

Then he headed to Terra's house with superspeed.

Elizabeth and Eric were packing a few boxes for the move.

Elizabeth spoke ,“ It’s going to be so sad having to move, Terra is really sad about leaving Sonic after today ends.”

“ I’m Sorry honey, but we have no choice. If I quit this Job I might not be able to find another Job I can work at.”

“ I Know”, said Elizabeth.

The doorbell rang. “ I’ll get it.” said Elizabeth.

She opened The Door and saw a well dressed Sonic the hedgehog.

“ Hello Sonic, please come in. You must be waiting For Terra, I’ll get her. ” said Elizabeth.

“ Terra Sonic’s here.”, yelled Elizabeth So Terra can hear. Terra opened the door from her room and walked out.

As Sonic walked in to the house, he couldn’t help but admire what he saw.

He Saw Terra in her sparkling red strapless dress, Which nearly covered Her feet , Her hair was the same, just as Sonic likes it.

No lipstick. She did have some blue eye shadow. Her nails were polished to match The Dress.

The neclace Sonic gave here was on her neck.

“ Hey Terra. You look really beautiful tonight.”, complimented Sonic as he put on a crasauge( I think that’s how its spelled) of Roses around her right arm.

“ aww Thank you, you look handsom tonight.”, replied Terra blushing as she put on a white buteneer( hopfully that’s right) on Sonic’s tux pocket.

“ Thanks Terra , Ready to go?”, asked Sonic.

“ okay!”, replied an excited Terra.

Sonic offered her his arm. She gladly took it. They were about to walk out the door but Elizabeth stoped them , “ Hold on a minute! You can’t leave with out a picture.”

They both walked back in and Eric walked in to see the couple pozing for the picture.

For the picture, Sonic had one hand in Terra’s and his other arm around her back.

Terra complied and put her free arm around Sonic’s back.

Elizabeh took the Shot. “Thank you”, said Elizabeth.

“now, off you go.”

Terra smiled and said, “ Bye Mom, Bye dad.”, kissing them both on the cheeks and Took Sonic’s arm and they left.

“ Oh Sonic, Close your eyes for a second.”, said Terra.

Sonic obeyed, curious about the surprise.

Terra guided him down to the side walk. “ Okay, you can open your eyes now.”, said Terra.

Sonic opend his eyes and saw a large black limo.

“ Awesome.”, said a happy Sonic.

“ Thanks, I thought we’d travel fancy this time.”, replied Terra.

Knuckles, ( also wearing a tux but with a bow instead of a tie) got out of the limo drver seat and opend The door for them.

"Knuckles? what the heck? Since when did you start driving limos? And why didn't I see the limo when I was going in the house?", asked Sonic completely bewildered by the sight of the red echidna.

Knuckles grinned and said" It's a long story, but now you to love birds have a place to be, so hop on in."

Sonic let Terra go in first then he followed. Knuckles closed the door and got in The Driver seat.

“ Wow, you got a limmo for us? You are the best girl anyone could ask for.", compimented Sonic.

“ Thanks, Youre the best boy friend anyone could ask for.”, replied Terra.

Sonic smiled while blushing. The couple joined hands as the limo started to head to the formal's location.

When they arrived, They were at a fancy looking hotel building with a boat dock behind it.

Sonic whisteled in admiration and Terra stared at the nice building.

Knuckles then got out of the limo opening the door for the couple.

“ Have fun guys, By the way when do I come pick you up?”, asked Knuckles.

Terra answered , “ How about midnight”

“Okay Later guys.”, said Knuckles as he hoped back in the limos drie.

“ Later Rad Red.”, replied Sonic.

They both walked in the hotel arm in arm.

When they got inside They found that everyone there was eating at the tables and that fancy piano music was being played.

Sonic and Terra were escorted to a table for 2 by a waitor and They sat down.

As They looked at the menues. Terra asked, “ So what are you getting?”

“ Lets see, Man No Chilli Dogs.”, complained Sonic in a tone saying he didnt care all too much.

Terra couldn’t help but laugh and answered, “ I dunno, The fallayed fish sounds good, or maybe the …”

“ can I take your order?” asked a waitor.

“ I’ll take the fallyaed fish and some salad.”, said Terra. “ uuuuummm, I’ll have what she’s having.”, said Sonic.

The waitor wrote all of this down and left to get the order.

" So Terra, how did you find this awesome place.", asked Sonic.

" Oh, My school is having a back to school dance party but even though I'm moving, the faculty allowed me to come.", answered Terra.

" oh, I see, cool. Just out of curiosity, is Katie around?", asked Sonic.

" Nah, she hates dresses and Formals.", replied Terra.

"Dang, I was hoping to see her so I can get Knuckles to come her and I can tease them.", complained Sonic.

" I was hoping the same, but at least we're both here.", said Terra with a smile.

" True. Now we have eachother all night.", replied the hedgehog, feeling better.

When the food came, Sonic started to eat his salad But he couldn’t poke through it with his fork.

He stabbed at it but it wasn’t working.

Terra giggled a little as she watched Sonic try to get the salad.

“ Do it gently.”, said Terra.

Sonic complied. “oooooo,I get it now.”, said the hedgehog as he poked through the salad.

Terra smiled an him but frowned a few seconds later.

Sonic noticed Terra wasn’t eating and asked, “ Terra, You’re not eating, are you okay?”

Terra nodded and slowly began to eat the fish.

As soon as Terra swallowed her bite she said, “mmmm This is good, You should Try some.”

Sonic looked at his fish for a seconed and was about to take a bite but was cutt off by the DJ ( This Is a dance formal)

“ Come on yall lets get down to the dance floor. People got up and went to the dance floor and the Song ,"one two step" by Ciara, started to play.

People started to dance to it.

Terra got up and offered her hand to Sonic saying, “ Ready to dance?”

He hesitated for a second but then took it.

And they both went to the dancefloor and saw an open space.

They both satrted to dance, Terra moving her waist to the beat, dancing rather well.

Sonic a few inches in front of her had no idea what he was doing, he just randomly moved his feet trying too keep to the rythem he then fell backwards, not landing on anyone.

As Terra danced she saw that he fell over and asked concerned, “ Sonic, you alright?”

“ Yea, Im fine, I just can't dance very well. Sorry about that ”, answered Sonic.

Terra laughed a bit and helped him up and said, “ It’s alright as long as you’re having fun.”

They smiled at one another and danced some more.

Sonic still wasn’t real good at it, but he didn’t fall anymore.

The song then ended. “ That was fun!.”, stated an excited Terra.

Sonic, a little exhausted said, “ Yea, it was, I hope I didn’t look to bad.”

“ You were great, you danced anyway and we both had fun, that’s all that matters.”, assured Terra.

The next song “ Hot in here”, by nelly was playing but both Sonic and Terra just looked at eachother, neither of them really cared for the Song.

“ Wanna go outside?”, asked Sonic.

Terra nodded and Sonic took her hand and led her outside.

“ Whew, it was really getting hot in there.”, sighed Terra.

Sonic chuckled a little and said, “ I was thinking the same.”

Terra then looked at the view of the night sky with the boat dock and the glittering water.

They both admired The view for a few minutes.

Terra the sighed. “ What’s the matter Terra?” , asked Sonic.

“ Well, I was just thinking since Im ….going away and all……after tonight if you want to , you can go after another girl. Not that I would want you to but I do want you to be…happy. ”, Terra said while tears started to come into her eyes.

Sonic put his right hand on her cheek having her face him, “ No Terra, You are the one I want. I’ve looked and looked for another girl before I met you. None of them were as special to me as you are. We can Get this to work out, we can still be together but with a little distance, Trust me. Sides, I’ll always be with you in heart.” assured Sonic.

Terra looked at him in a tearful Joy. “ O Sonic.” Terra was about to hug him but then the song, “ My heart will Go on, ( from Titanic)” started To play inside the building.

“ Care to dance?”, asked Sonic. “ Totally.” They both walked inside hand in hand , found an epty spot Sonic put his hands around Terra’s waist and Terra put her arms around Sonic’s shoulders.

As they stared into eachother’s eyes and danced, Terra said “ Sonic, Thank You. I love you so much.”

“ No prob, You are way past worth keeping around.” Terra smiled at him and pulled him in for a hug.

Sonic accepted and hugged back, rubbing Terra’s back.

“ I love you too.” Whispered Sonic into Terra’s ear.

The last paragraph of the song was playing as Sonic and Terra were holding eachother close while slow danceing , Only thinking about eachother.

The next day at around late afternoon, Sonic, Knuckles( now back to wearing nothing like usual), cream, Tails and Katie were with Terra helping her pack her stuff.

Tails was outside moving boxes from the front porch to the moving truck.

looked into one of the boxed that said “Terra’s cloths on them.”

“ ooo I wander what I’ll find in here.” Thought Tails.

“ What ARE YOU DOING???” Yelled Cream.

“o he he, nothing”, shrieked Tails.

As he walked out of th way picking up a different Box.

Sonic and Terra were packing up stuff in Terra’s room, Katie and Knuckles were in the kitchen and Eric and Elizabeth in their bedroom packing.

Now it was around sunset and they were all packed up,a bunch of friends of Eric and elizabeth came over to say good bye.

Terra( in her grey shirt blue jean pants) was with Sonic and the group about to say her last words.

Terra thes spoke with sadness in her voice with all of them looking at her, “ Well, It’s been really really fun, I’m really gonna miss you. All of you, and..”

She first went to Cream, bent down a little and said, “ Cream, Sorry we didn’t get to hang out to much.”

“ It’s okay miss Terra, I’m glad to have met you anyways.”, replied Cream.

“ Chao Chao.”, agreed Cheeze who flew twards Terra and nuzzled his face against Terra’s cheek.

Terra couldn’t help but giggle a bit. When cheese was done, Terra went to Tails and looked at him evily for a second.

Sonic also gave an evil look at Tails, knowing Terra was up to something.

Tails was confused. Terra then quickly got behind Tails and lifted him up a little.

“ Come here little foxboy,”, said Terra, giving Tails a noogie, messing up his hair.

The whole gang laughed at the moment.

She soon put him down.and went to Knuckles and said, “ It’s been cool Man. Thanks for the ride yesterday, Rock on.”

They hi fived eachother.

Terra then walked twards Katie and huged her. “ I’m really gonna miss you, Thanks for being such a good friend.”, said Terra.

“ I’m gonna miss you Too Terra.”, said Katie.

They relised the hug and Terra.

“ Terra we have to go before it gets dark!”, called her mother.

“ Goodbye everyone.” Sonic and Terra walked to The family’s car and Sonic opened The door for Her.

They looked into eachother’s eyes.” Thank you for everything you’ve done, I Love you Sonic the hedgehog. And I always will.”, said Terra.

As she wrapped her arms around Sonic. Sonic put his right hand on Terra’s cheek and his left around her back.

Then they both kissed eachother tenderly.

While Katie and Knuckles watched thinking how sad it was going to be once Terra leaves.

Cream had coverd Tails’s and cheeze’s eyes. After about 20 seconds They broke apart.

“ I’ll always love you Too Terra.”, said Sonic. Terra then enterd The car.

Then Terra and Sonic looked into eachother’s eyes.

The car began to Drive off and Terra just looked back at Sonic and friends with Tears in her eyes.

They looked at eachother untill Sonic lost sight of the vehicle.

' I Love you Terra. Good bye' , Thought Sonic as he He felt a tear go down one of his large eyes.
