Chapter 11- Tracey's Betrayal and Bella's Heartbreak

[A/n- I've been extremely depressed lately so I decided now would be a good time to write the next chapter, please keep in mind my beta is on sick leave so there are bound to be little mistakes here and there if you want to look over it feel free, also if it doesn't make sense please use commonsense and tell me in a POLITE way, please and thank you. Also the text in the beginning of the chapter is what Bella is writing in her diary, it will be in bold.]

Previously On Forever Is Along Time To Stay Away

“Do you trust me?” I looked deep into his eyes trying to find even a glimmer of betrayal, anything to show he was like the rest, something that would tell me this perfect person wasn't who he seemed to be.... I found nothing.
“Yes... I do.” His lips pressed to mine softly, they felt warm and soft against mine. He moved his softly against mine, before pulling away to look in my eye's. “Wow.”
I touched my finger's to my tingling lips, “Yeah, wow...”
Setting- present day (yr.2,156) The sun was setting and twilight was amongst us it was perfect for once I was truly happy, how ironic that in just two years time he would be the one to break my heart.

Setting- May 29th, 2002

Time- 3:18am

Wow! It has been almost a year since I last wrote in you, well let's see a lot has defiantly changed. First off I am a lot happier then I was. Not Only do I have the most fabulous boyfriend in the world [Tracey] I have the bestest friends anyone could ask for. My grades are even a hell of a lot better.

I can actually smile and mean it, I mean i could before but now it's not just Tracey doing it. Even my drawing has gotten better. I won't bore you with the details of my friends diary but I will say that life right now couldn't be better.

I closed my diary and slipped it under my mattress. I lay down in my bed and sigh contently, I think about how well this year is going and how much stuff there still is to experience and I can't help but smile as I fall into a dreamless sleep.



[The next day]

“Bella!” Tracey called my name from the edge of the cafeteria, motioning for me to come. I couldn't help but smile at his childish smile.

“Hey Tracey, whats up?” I asked as I kissed him on the cheek.

“I was thinking would you like to ditch school and come to the lake with me?”

I thought it through carefully, weighing my options. Finally deciding to go, might as well we only have gym and art left anyway.

“Sure Tracey why not, that'll be great.”

His smile if possible grew even bigger as he wrapped his arms around me and hugged me really tightly. “Thank you so much Bella! I promise you won't regret it.”

He pulled me to my feet, out the back door, and started down the path to the lake. It wasn't a very long walk maybe a mile if even that. We walked in silence seeing as Tracey seemed to have something on his mind. Though I didn't mind, it gave me time to study his features.

He had changed a lot in the passing years. His hair grew longer, now just under his shoulders. He had grown at least another foot, making him tower over me. His body is more defined then it used to be, and his facial features are sharper. One thing though that stayed exactly the same was his personality, he is still the same childish, smart, sensitive person he was two years ago and I am glad that it hadn't been altered in the slightest.

We finally reached the clearing, across from us I could see the lake that seemed to stretch for miles. He let go of my hand and started running toward the lake I couldn't help but laugh and follow his lead as he stripped out of his shirt and cannon balled into the lake, somehow completely soaking me with water.

“Bella come in the water is great!”

As I shook my head at him I yelled back, “Not thats okay you have fun.”

 

It seems that he wasn't going to take no for an answer because as soon as the words had left my mouth he was out of the water and making a beeline for me, stopping only for a second to pick me up. I started squealing and jerking around but he held strong.

“No Tracey don't!” I yelled but it had been too late, he had already jumped in with me in his arms. “What did you do that for?” I asked trying to look mad but in truth, I was trying to keep my giggles in check.

He leaned his forehead on top of mine and kissed my cheek, “Sorry, but you seemed hot so I thought I would cool you off.” I burst out laughing I couldn't help it, he was so cute with water running down his hair and face and that “innocent” answer just pushed me over the edge, “Plus now I can see through your shirt.”I slapped him in the arm and started to walk towards dry land.

He followed looking happy with himself. I sat down in the sun on the soft grass that surrounded the lake, leaning back so the suns rays could heat my face. I was content to lay here forever with just Tracey and the sun as company. “Bella?” Tracey's voice traveled over me softly as if he was afraid that he would startle me.

“Yeah Trace?”

“I want to give you something. That was the reason I brought you here.”

I sat up and looked at Tracey thinking as I did. Why was he giving me something? My birthday wasn't for another four months and there are no... wait what am I saying?

I watched as he pulled a black velvet box out of his shirt pocket, and handed it to me. “Open it.” he said simply. I did as he said opening it carefully as if it had been made of glass. I gasped at what laid inside. Inside was a beautiful gold necklace, with a small blood red rose hanging off it. I held my hand over my mouth I was speechless, tears started falling down my face as I continued to look at it. Tracey looked over at me worried, “Bella whats wrong don't you like it?” he asked.

I shook my head, “No Tracey it's gorgeous, thank you so much.” Tracey looked relieved and pulled me into a hug.

“I love you so much Bella,” he whispered into my hair, pulling back and taking the necklace from the box. “Turn around, I'll put it on you.”

I turned and I felt him, slip it over my neck and heard the clasp click. I turned toward him, and hugged him tightly, “Thank you so much Tracey, it's beautiful.”

Tracey smiled but didn't say a word, he just hugged me closer to his body and we sat in silence as we watched the sun set across the lake.

Setting- September 13th 2003

I looked in the mirror one last time before running down the stairs to where my mother, stepfather and Tracey resided. We meaning Tracey and I finally decided to tell my parents about our relationship, lets just say they were a little more enthusiastic then I had first thought, in fact they were downright elated.

“Oh my god Bella! Tracey! You guys are so cute together, I am so happy.” My mother clapped her hands together and pulled us both into a hug.

I looked at Phil pleadingly and he pulled my mother off of us, “Now Renee, let them go otherwise they will have to come back right after they leave.”

“Fine but I get to take pictures first!” said my mother before swiping out a camera from god knows where.

“Mom, NO! Absolutely not!!! I swear to god I will run away if you do.” I grabbed Tracey's sleeve and pulled him out the door, “C'mon Trace.” He followed behind me quietly.

When we where about five blocks the house I stopped and looked up at Tracey, noticing that he wasn't quite here, he seemed to be faraway. “Trace? What's wrong why are you so quiet?”

“Bella, I have to talk to you it is really important.” His unnatural serious look unnerved me to no end, something was wrong it felt like a sign of the apocalypse.

“Tracey, whats wrong?” I asked, I was really starting to get nervous.

He started walking towards the lake a few blocks down the road, not even waiting for me to catch up. I had to run half the time in order not to lose him, when we finally did stop I was out of breath.

“Tracey, what the hell?”

“Bella sit down we really need to talk.”

“Okay then lets talk, whats going on Tracey?”

He looked out into the lake and sighed, “I'm tired of living this lie Bella. I am tired of pretending that this can work out between us. I am tired of pretending that I love you.”

I was quiet for awhile not being able to quite get my head around what he was saying, “Just tell me this Tracey... why? Why are you doing this to me? Why did you lie to me? Couldn't you just tell me the truth?”

He stared at me with cold eyes and laughed coldly, “I did that because, I couldn't find away to break it off, and then I just decided that a clean break was best.”

“Why did you tell me you love me if all you were going to do was stomp on my heart? How can you lie about something like that?”

He sighed and said, “Bella, when I told you that I loved you it wasn't a lie. I did love you. I-I just don't anymore. I'm not doing this to hurt you. I've led you on for a while, and I don't want to live a lie any longer. I'm sorry, Bella. I really am.” Tracey stood up and started walking out of the clearing, “I really am sorry Bella, I hope you'll be able to move on soon.”
And then he was gone the one person I had ever trusted left me alone to deal with everything by myself once again.


“You son of a bitch I never want to see you again!” I screamed into the lake, I then ripped the necklace he gave me off my neck and threw it into the lake, I then crawled up into the fetal position and cried wishing I was never born, wishing that someday the pain that was suddenly swarming at me would go away.


Setting- Present day (yr. 2,156)

“How can you forgive him for doing that to you?”Alice asked when I finished my story.

“It was simple really, when Tracey had explained everything to me when I met up him again. Though it was simple seeing as he hadn't aged at all in the 10 yrs. It is like you guys Tracey had been traveling with Drake and the others, it was their time to leave before suspicions rose. I never quite forgave him for breaking up with me that way though.”

“I can always, beat him up Bella.” said Emmett.

I burst out laughing, “No it's Lia already beat you to it, which leads to the question, are you sure Ali and Lia left. Do you even know who they are?”

“Umm, no but I heard the back door close and two unfamiliar scents leave the kitchen. So yeah, those must have been Ali and Lia.”

I looked at Emmett for a moment and then looked at Rosalie, when something dawned on me. “Rosalie, Emmett are you telling me neither of you remember Lia? You Rosalie may not, you had known her when you were younger, though you Emmett you should remember Lia from your past.”

“And whys that if I never met her.”  

“What I am saying you idiot is...”

“You don't remember me? I have to say Em that really hurts how can you forget your former fiancee? And you Rose I can't believe you don't remember your own twin sister!”Lia stood in front of my door her face expressionless but I can tell this was the calm before the storm and what a storm it will be.

Lia's story, The story of her life after Emmett and Tracey's disappearance's, and the trials she had faced.

“I love you Lia, I always have ever since we were little. You are the love of my life and I can't live with out you. Will you marry me?”

“Yes, Emmet I would love to marry you!”

“So you finally pooped the question Bro, congratulation's too both of you!” The smile didn't reach Tracey's eyes as if he was hiding something, something big.

A/n- well this is the end of Bella and Tracey's story and the beginning of Lia's. Tell me what you think I still may discontinue the story I am not positive as of yet. Also Chapter 2 is redone. Also this is the longest chapter I have ever written Yays!!!
