Max: “Heh, heh… So twerp, how does it feel to be going card-for-card with the Intercontinental dueling Champion?”

Alex: “Ooh! The Intercontinental Champion? I could win a way better prize in a cereal box..”

Max: “Yeah right… I'll teach you to have so respect for my title. I'll lay one monster Face-down in defense mode, and that'll do it.”

Alex: “Whatever… I'll throw a monster face-down too.”

Max: “Well… this won't be very exciting if were just going to keep defending.”

(Draws)

“So, I'll sacrifice my monster to summon this, PENDULUM MACHINE!”

(Atk: 1750 / Def: 2000)

“And now I'll have him go into overdrive on that defence card of yours! SLASHING BLADE ATTACK!”

(Defense monster destroyed)

“Now I'll lay one card face-down, and call it quits.”

Clover: “Whoa… that wasn't good.”

Sabrina: “Well it isn't exactly bad either.”

Sam: “With his monster face-up, now Alex knows just how strong it is, but let's just hope she can destroy it now.”

Mykan's thoughts: “Come on Alex… you can do this. You have to win this match.”

Alex: “Bad move Max. Now it's time for me show you.”

(Draws)

“I summon PANTHER WARRIOR in Attack mode.”

(Atk: 2000 / Def: 1600)

“He can't attack unless I sacrifice a monster first so… I play SCAPEGOAT… and now all I have to do is sacrifice one of them and my Panther can attack.”

Max: “Ha! In your dreams, Twerp.”

Alex: “Huh?”

Max: “I'm activating my face-down card… MAGIC JAMMER. Now all I got to do is throw one card away and I can cancel out your Scapegoat card and destroy it!”

Alex: “Ah! That can't be good.”

(Scapegoat destroyed)

Max: “Ha, ha, ha! You should've seen the look on your face when I pulled that off. Now I'm going to go even tougher on you.”

(Draws)

“I'm activating MONSTER REBORN, and I think I'll use it to bring out the monster that I just discarded… LAUNCHER SPIDER!!”

(Atk: 2200 / Def: 2500)

“Tear down that oversized panther… SHOCK ROCKET ATTACK!!”

(Atk: 2200) VS (2000)

SCORE: (Alex: 7800 / Max: 8000)

“Now go Pendulum Machine… attack her life points directly!”

Alex: “Mmm! ARGH!!”

(Atk: 1750)

SCORE: (Alex: 6050 / Max: 8000)

Clover: “Alex, No!”

Goon-one: “Hee, hee, hee… Your little girly-friend there don't stand a chance.”

Goon-two: “Yeah… da boss has beat up bigger freaks than her to get where is today.”

Sam: “Well not any like Alex. She's made great comebacks before, and she'll make a breakthrough here too.”

Sam's thoughts: “Come on Alex… don't make me into a liar.”

Alex's thoughts: “Man… I'm already way down in life points. I got to come up with something and fast.”

(Draws)

“I'll play this face-down… and this monster card in defense mode.”

Max: “What's the matter, Twerp, afraid you're going hurt yourself?”

Max's thoughts: “Hmm… if this girl keeps puttin' her monsters in defence mode, I'll never get at her life points. Maybe I should just dish her out and get her to attack me.”

(Draws)

“One card face-down… and I'll also play GRACEFUL CHARITY… so I throw away two cards, and take three new ones.”

(Discards, and draws)

“Now I'll summon ROBOTIC KNIGHT to the field, but he won't be hangin' around too long once I activate this TRIBUTE DOLL.”

“I'll bet you didn't know that by sacrificing one monster, like my Knight… then I get to summon a level-seven monster right from my hand. So come on out ZOA.”

(Atk: 2600 / Def: 1900)

“But you can relax… He also can't attack this turn, so I'll play him in defense. Now go ahead, it's your move, Twerp.”

Alex thought's: “He's trying to bluff me out, I know it. Since Zoa's attack is way higher than it's defence it makes little sense to play him in defense mode.”

“I think he's trying to lure me into attack him, but I'd dare not risk my face down monster. I'll have to do something else, and it might get him to blow his strategy.”

(Draws)

“Hey… this could work.”

Alex: “First I'll summon my BATTLE WARRIOR in attack mode.”

(Atk: 700 / Def: 1000)

Max: “Oh, come on… you expect that thing can take on my Zoa, or my machines with such a weak attack power.”

Alex: “Oh it maybe weak now… but it'll be stronger, once I activate this. GRACEFUL DICE!!” (Rules fudged)

(The real rules state that monster's attack is increased 100 points, multiplied by the result of the roll)

“Now depending on what I roll, my monster's attack will get multiplied. Go Dice-roll.”

(Rolls a Three)

“Hmm… not to shabby. Now Go Swordsman, take out that Zoa. ATTACK!!”

(Atk: 2100) VS (Def: 1900)

Max: “Got'cha, right into my trap… go METAL MORPH!! It increases my Zoa's attack and defense points by 300.”

Alex: “Wait a minute… but that means his defense is now 2200… and because my attack is lower than it's defence I lose life points.”

SCORE: (Alex: 5950 / Max: 8000)

Max: “And that's not all. For my turn, I can offer my Zoa, and his Metal Morph to summon an even better monster… METAL ZOA.”

(Atk: 3000 / Def: 2300)

Sam: “Oh no… Alex's monster is a sitting duck out there. With her Graceful dice effect gone, her Battle warrior's attack goes back to normal.”

(Atk: 700)

Max: “But before I launch my next attack, I think I'll go ahead an see what it is your trying to hide from me with that defense card of yours. Only it won't be defending for long.”

“Go STOP DEFENSE!”

(Flips up ALIGATOR SWORD)

(Atk: 1500 / Def: 1200)

“An Alligator Sword? That's not going to protect you this turn! Now Metal Zoa, go and attack the Battle Warrior!”

Mykan: “This isn't good at all… if that Metal Zoa's attack works, then Alex will lose a lot of life points.”

(Atk: 3000) VS (Def: 700)

Sam: “And with her Alligator Sword in attack mode, she'll lose even more points from any of the other monsters, and then she won't have any monster to defend with.”

Clover: “Man!! If Alex doesn't do something and fast…”

Sabrina: “She'll lose the duel.”

(Metal Zoa falls through a hole)

Alex: “Ha! You fell right into my trap. CHASM OF SPIKES!”(Anime card only)

Max: “What?! You set a trap for me?!”

Clover: “Hey, she did it. She pulled it off.”

Sam: “And that's not all… Now, not only is Metal Zoa destroy, by one quarter of his attack is taken from Max's life points.”

SCORE: (Alex: 5950 / Max: 7250)

Alex: “I can't believe you actually fell for that. See I knew you were trying to fake me out with that Zoa all along, and lead your right into the lions den.”

Max: “Why, you little wannabe! GRR.”

Alex: “Now it's my turn.”

(Draws)

“I'll put this card face-down. Oh, and F.Y.I… it's a trap, so don't even think of attacking me.”

Sam: “Alex?! What are doing broadcasting your strategy for?”

Goon-one: “He, it's got to be a trick boss.”

Goon-two: “Yeah… she's gotta be bluffin'.”

Max: “You little runt… that's got to be the lamest bluff I've heard in all my dueling life.”

Alex: “We'll see about that. Now I'll switch both my Battle Warrior, and my Alligator Sword into Defense mode, and I'll throw this in attack mode. GEARFRIED THE IRON KNIGHT!!”

(Atk: 1800 / Def: 1600)

“Now chunk that Pendulum Machine. GEAR BLADE STRIKE!!”

(Atk: 1800) VS (Def: 1750)

SCORE: (Alex: 5950 / Max: 7150)

Max: “Humph!!”

Mykan: “All right… now Max has only one monster left, and Alex has three.”

Max: “I'm going to make sure your regret ever making a fool out of me Twerp, you hear me!! Launcher Spider, attack Gearfried NOW!!”

(Atk: 2200) VS (Def: 1800)

Max: “I knew you didn't have another Trap on you.”

Alex: “Wrong again! You thought I was bluffing and now you're going to get it!”

Max: “What the--!!”

Alex: “Go… SHADOW SPELL! It activates when you try to attack. Now not only can your monster not attack or defend itself, but it's attack gets lowered by 700 points.”

(Atk: 1500)

“Now for my next brilliant move… I'll sacrifice My Battle Warrior and my Alligator Sword to summon… YELLOW SPY-GIRL!!”

(Atk: 2300 / Def: 2000)

Max: “Hey! That monster looks just like you.”

Alex: “You bet she does, and she's got a special power too. I can pay half of my life points and weaken yours by half of the points that I just paid.”

SCORE: (Alex: 2975/ Max: 5663)

Max: “Awe Man!!”

Alex: “Gearfried… take out that wimpy Spider.”

(Atk: 1800) VS (Def: 1500)

SCORE: (Alex: 2975 / Max: 5363)

“Now Spy-Girl, attack his life points directly… SUPER-SPY KICK!!”

(Atk 2300)

Max: “GRR-RRR-RRR… OOFF!!”

SCORE: (Alex: 2975 / Max: 3063)

Alex: And Finally I'll play DIAN KETO CURE MASTER… so I can get back 1000 life points.”

SCORE: (Alex: 3975 / Max: 3063)

Clover: “YAHOO!! Way to show him Alex!”

Sam: “Wow… look at her go down there. She's dueling great.”

Mykan: “Mmm-hmm. And that's not all. She's dueling they way we do. Through our hearts, and trusting in our cards.”

Alex: “What say Max? Don't tell me you're losing you're cool to a duelist like me, because I'm ready to take you on even more.”

Clover: “Do you think Alex has got this duel in the bag now?”

Sam: “Well not really. Sure she may have more life points, and more monsters on the field, but I don't Max is all but beaten yet.”

Sabrina: “Still… this is one of the closest duels I've ever seen.”

Max: “Hmm… heh, heh, heh. You think you're traps will protect you forever, Twerp? You're going run out sooner or later, and then I'll bring out my most powerful Machines and totally steamroll your life points.”

“Yeah… you ain't nothing but a speed bump on my way to crushing Mykan, and that goes double for your dweeb dealing girl-buddies too.”

“Winnin' this tournament's prize money will be a piece-a-cake.”

Alex: “Yeah right Max… like, whatever.”

Max: “Ugh?! What'd you say?!”

Alex: “I got news for you pal. Even if you beat me… which, F.Y.I, you so will not… Mykan and the others would cream you, and you want to know why hotshot?”

“It's because… your nothing but an ungrateful, selfish, sleaze-ball who's in the in this tournament for you own greedy reasons!”

Max: “Say what?! GRRR!!”

Alex: “People like you never win and don't even deserve to. Sure you may get a little ways with all your roughing up and trick… but only until people with good intentions show up.”

“Like Me and my friends…and like Mykan. We fight for the people we love, and not for some lame old prize.”

Max: “Oh yeah… we'll just see about that.”

(Draws)

"First I'm playin' this... CARD OF SANCTITY." (Rules fudged)

(The real rule are, Remove all the cards in your hand and on your side of the field from play, and then draw twice)

"Now we both draw until we hold six cards."

Alex: "Whatever!"

(Both draw)

Max: “Now…one card Face-down… and I'll also play this, CALL OF THE HUANTED, and I'll use it to bring back my Launcher Spider, and now I got everything I need.”

“But First I'll activate this… COST DOWN!! This makes it so all the monster in my hand get slashed off by two levels.”

“Which means I only got to sacrifice one monster like my Spider, so I can summon this… BARREL DRAGON!!”

(Atk: 2600 / Def: 2300)

Alex: “Whoa! That thing sure looks ugly.”

Max: “Oh, but it get's much worse than that. See I'm going to toss a coin now, and if I call it right two out of three times, then I can automatically wipe out a monster you got, and then still be able to attack.”

“Which means I can clear all your monster from the field in just one turn.”

Alex: “Yeah… but only if you call this toss right, Max, and that might not even happen.”

Max's thoughts: “Heh! Oh I ain't too worried about that. Because this little baby here will make me a winner every time.”

(Pulls out a double-sided coin)

(The Millennium Necklace sparkles)

Mykan: “Hmm?”

Mykan's thought's: “That coin… it's a trick!”

Max: “Okay… I'm calling it, Tales.”

(Tales)

“Ha! I got it… now I'll toss again and I think I'll call it Tales again.”

(Tales)

“All right… now say adios to your Spy-Girl over there.”

(Yellow Spy-Girl, destroyed)

Alex: “Whoa! No way… that thing just totally fried my Spy-Girl.”

Max: “You bet, and don't forget, Twerp… I still got his attack to use on that Iron knight of yours. Heh, heh, heh! Go, PROTON BLAST ATTACK!!”

(Atk: 2600) VS (Atk: 1800)

SCORE: (Alex: 3175 / Max: 3063)

Clover and Sam: “Alex, No!!”

Max: “Ha, ha, ha! What say to that, Twerp? You ready to throw in the towel yet? No one's ever stood up to my Barrel Dragon and lived to tell the tale.”

Alex: “Forget it! There's no way I'm backing down from you. I already figured out an attack that crush your oversized metal dealer.”

(Draws)

“Meet the master of the Past and Future. TIME WIZARD!!”

(Atk: 500 / Def: 400)

Sam: “Hey, now she's thinking. If that time roulette lands right. Then Alex can take control of the field.”

Max's thoughts: “GRR. The Time Wizard. If this Twerp get's it her way, it can age my machine to the scraps.”

Alex: “Go… TIME ROULETTE!!”

(Time machine, Skull, Skull, Time machine, Skull, Skull, Time machine, Skull, Skull…)

Mykan: “But if that time spin lands wrong Alex will be in trouble. Her Time Wizard will be destroyed and she'll be a the mercy of Max's Barrel Dragon.”

(Time machine… Skull, Skull, Time machine… Skull, Skull… Time machine… Skull, Skull…)

Sabrina: “Look… it's slowing down.”

Mykan: “Don't land on a skull!”

(Time machine… Skull, Skull, Time machine… Skull, Skull… Time machine… Skull, Skull…)

Alex: “Come on… get there!”

(Time machine… Skull… Skull…)

(TIME MACHINE!!)

Alex: “Yeah! That's what I'm talking about. Go… TIME MAGIC! Now your dragon is history, and half of his power comes from your life points.”

SCORE: (Alex: 3175 / Max: 1763)

(Barrel Dragon destroyed)

Max: “You may have crushed my dragon, Twerp. But thanks to this trap card, I'll make you pay.”

Alex: “A Trap-card?”

Max: “You bet you… my TIME MACHINE trap.” (Full effects unclear)

"You see it travels back in time one turn and brings back the monster that you just destroyed. So welcome back Barrel Dragon.”

(Barrel Dragon returns)

Alex: “It's back!”

Max: “And now it's time for me to use it's effect. I'll flip my coin and call it.”

(He calls tales correctly twice)

“Yeah… that's what I'm talking about. So say so long to your Time Wizard.”

(Time Wizard Destroyed)

Alex's thoughts: “How's he doing this? He's calling his coin tosses perfectly. If I didn't know any better I'd say he was cheating.”

Max: “And now I'll attack your life points directly. PROTON BLAST ATTACK!!”

(Atk: 2600)

Alex: “WHOAAAAAAAAA!!!”

SCORE: (Alex: 575 / Max: 1763)

Max: “Ha, ha, ha! You're time's running out, Twerp. I told you were finished. On my next turn I'll wipe you out for good and knock you out of this tournament for good!”

Clover: “Alex… come on, you got to win this. Our dad's are counting on us.”

Alex's thoughts: “She's right… if we don't win this, we might not all be able to get the finals, and then our chances of wining back the baby and the money we need would be cut.”

“But I'm not giving up! Not yet!”

Mykan's thoughts: “This isn't right. Alex is losing because Max keeps cheating on her with that trick coin. Well I think his little game's gone on long enough.”
