Sam: “I'll start by summoning STAR BOY in defense mode, and thanks to his effect, he and all other water monsters gain 500 extra attack points, but lose 400 defense points.!”

“And that'll do it for me.”
Alex: “That's it? That's all your going to do?”
(Sam nods)
Alex's thoughts: “Why would Sam put her Star Boy in defense? It can't help her, oh well… her loss is my gain.”
Alex: “I'll place one card face-down, and summon ROCKET WARRIOR in attack mode.”
(Atk: 1500 / Def: 1300)
“Now attack… with ROCKET BLADE!!”
(Atk: 1500) VS (Def: 500)
Sabrina: “Well that's one turn gone?”
Mykan: “Mmm… yes, but I think Alex may have just made a huge mistake. Now she left her monster wide open to an attack.”
Sabrina: “Ah?!”
Sam: “Okay Alex… here I come.”
(Draws)
“First I play MYSTICAL SPACE TYPHOON to destroy your face down-card.”
Alex: “You what?!”
(Face down card destroyed)
Sam: “And Now I summon 7- COLORED FISH in attack mode.”
(Atk: 1800 / Def: 800)
“And I'll also play PREMATURE BURIAL… so I can pay half my life points and bring Star Boy back to the field.”
SCORE: (Sam: 7200 / Alex: 8000)
“And don't forget… now my monsters gain 500 extra attack points.”

Star Boy… (Atk: 1000)
“Now my Fish… destroy her Rocket Warrior!”

“Now, Star-Boy attack her life points directly! STARDUST ATACK!!”
Alex: “GRR… YARGH!!”
SCORE: (Sam: 7200 / Alex: 6150)
Sam: “How about that? Now I'll put one card Face-Down and end my turn.”
Alex: “Not bad, Sammy. But now it's my move.”
(Draws)
“Ha! Now I'll activate FOOLISH BURIAL!!”
Sam: “Huh? What's that card do?”
Alex: (Snickers) “Well… it lets me put one monster from my deck in my Graveyard.”
(Discards a monster, and shuffles her deck.)
“And now I get to use this… MONSTER-REBORN. So I can get back the monster that I lost! So come on out! JINZO!”
(Atk: 2400 / Def: 1500)
Sam: “Jinzo?”
Alex: “You better believe it, and you better hope that, that Face down you have isn't a Trap… because Jinzo's Special ability lets him destroy all traps.”
(Rules Fudged a bit. In the real world. Traps just can't be activated by both duelists.)
Sam: “What? No Traps!”
(Sam's Trap is destroyed)
Alex: “So much for that… I'll also summon TINY GUARDIAN in attack mode.”
(Atk: 1400 / Def: 1800)
“And now…” (Eye shines) “I'll activate… DE-SPELL. So not only does your Premature Burial and Star Boy go Bye-bye, your 7-Colored fish loses power.”
Sam: “Ah!”
(Star boy, gone and Fish goes back to 1800)
“Now that your Fish has even less attack points now, Go Jinzo! SUPERSONIC BLAST!!”
(Atk: 2400) VS (Atk: 1800)
SCORE: (Sam: 6600 / Alex:6150)
“Now… Go Tiny Guardian… attack her life points NOW!!”
(Atk: 1400)
Sam: “ARGH!!”
SCORE: (Sam: 5200 / Alex: 6150)
Alex: “Now I'll place one card face-down, and since it's the end of my turn, I can switch my Guardian into Defense-mode… and that's it for now.”
Ishizu's thoughts: “Mmm… these two duelists are really pushing each other to the limits of their dueling strength. Mykan certain has taught them well…”(Looks at Mykan) “and he'll be able to teach our children the same way, once we have children. Hmm, mm, mm!”
Mykan's thoughts: “It sure a close one… but I don't rightly know who has the advantage. The way these girls are playing at, it's anyone's game.”
Sam: “It's my turn now.”
(Draws)
“First… GRACEFUL CHARITY… so a can draw two three cards, and discard two.”
(Draws, and discards)
“Now… POT OF GREED… so I can draw more.”
(Draws)
“And now… I also play MONSTER REBORN, so I can revive a monster I just lost… Want to guess which one it is?”
Alex: “You… You mean--?!”
Sam: “That's right… come on out, GREEN SPY-GIRL!!”
(Atk: 2300) / Def: 2000)
“And now, thanks to her effect, I pay One-quarter of my life points… to destroy all magic and Traps you have.”
SCORE: (Sam: 3900 / Alex: 6150)
(Alex's face down is destroyed)
“And I'll also Play this field card… A LEGENDAY OCEAN!!”
(Field changes)
Alex: “Whoa… what's going on?!”
Sam: “This field card downgrades all my Water monsters by One-level… this makes it so I can summon this without having to make a sacrifice… LEGENDARY FISHERMAN!!”
(Atk: 1850) / Def: 1600)
“And the Ocean around him also gives him an extra 200 attack and defense point.”
(Atk: 2050) / Def: 1800)
“I'll have him attack your Tiny Guardian!”
(Atk: 2050) VS (Def: 1800)
“And now my last card… FISSURE!! I'll use it to get rid of your Jinzo!”
Alex: “Uh-oh! This can't be good!”
(Jinzo, destroyed)
Sam: “And now… Spy-Girl… Attack her directly… SUPER-SPY KICK!!”
SCORE: (Sam: 3900 / Alex: 3850)
“And that's all for now Alex.”
Alex: “Okay then… I draw.”
Alex's thoughts: “Man… look at us… this has got to be one of the closest duels I've ever faced. With just 50 points splitting us up… who knows what's going to happen next.”
Alex: “First I play… MIRAGE OF NIGHTMARE!! It let's me draw until I four cards, as long as I then discard four cards.”
(Draws three… discards three from the top of the deck)
“Awe, sweet… Get ready Sammy, time to make this a match to remember.”
Sam: “Hmm?”
Alex: “I activate the Trap card… A RIVAL APPEARS!!”
Sam: “Ah?! But that cards let's you summon a monster from you hand that has the same level as any one of mine.”
Alex: “You got it… and I choose your Level-Seven Green Spy-Girl… so can summon my Level-Seven YELLOW SPY GIRL!!”
(Atk: 2300) / Def: 2000)
“Now I'll place two cards face-down… So let's get this on.”
Sam: “Spy-Girl against Spy-girl, eh?… sure thing!”
(Both duelists and monsters star each other down)
Marik's thoughts: “Well, well… this should promise to be interesting. Two best friends, now sworn rivals, about to pit two of their best monsters against each other? Hmm, mm, mm… I wonder who'll out smart who?”
