.Hello loyal fans. Ya I haven’t updated in a while sorry I was trying to decided what to do next. Any way here it is the second to last chapter of my first fic.

Chapter 9
Hiei’s pov
I just couldn’t stop thinking about her and I finally was able to smile at their fear. That damned woman finally had that look of absolute horror and helplessness.
It had been so long since I had taken this form. I could only smile as I felt the ancient, familiar power flow through me. The last time I had transformed was when we had fought together.
Just me and her .
At that time actually thought I could ,maybe just maybe, be happy. Now I know that it I never will. But I can’t think about the past forever , I had to concentrate on the matter at hand.
I looked around bellow and found them all huddled in a group. All of them even my so called friends all shaking in fear absolute fear. I had forgotten how wonderful it was to know your enemy had no power. I couldn’t help but laugh at my obvious advantage , but I was tired of waiting.
I spread my wings and dived ready to engulf them all. Sadly I found my mouth stopped in mid bite. That damned kowenma, thought he could stop me with a simple barrier. I couldn’t help but laugh again remembering that he had never seen my true power.

Normal pov
The group could only stand there as Kowenma held Hiei off with another barrier. Yusuke finally snapped out of it just as Hiei started to gather energy into his fangs.
“ SPIRET GUN!” The collision of power threw the dragons head up but did very little damage much to Yusuke dismay.
“ GOD Damn it Hiei!” The spirit detective stood to see his friend recover. God he couldn’t blame him for going after Kuroko , hell if it was him he would be doing the same thing. But her kids! They hadn’t done anything , and damn his whole demon thinking.
Yusuke just stared at his friend. If Hiei had been in his normal form hell ya, he could take him freaky flames or no freaky flames, but now one bite and he was toast.
“ Yusuke” the black haired teen turned to Kurama.
“ we have to team up together on him , hit him all at once.” The red head told him standing up.
“ Yeah.” he looked back up at his friend he was already recovered and seemed to be getting ready to attack once again.
“ Ready.”
“ yeah one minuet. KUWABARA!” Yusuke yelled to his high school friend.
“ You ok?”
“ Been through worse.”
“ Ha , well finally ready to give Hiei a piece of your mind?”
“ Yeah…..”
The three of them stood all staring at their team member and friend. They started to power up just as Hiei took another dive.
“ Sorry old friend.”
“ see ya latter bastard.”
“ dumb shrimp.”
“ SPIRET GUN, ROSE WIP, SPIRET SWORD!!!” The combined attacks shot through the sky toward their target as Hiei sped strait toward it. The sky lit up at they collided throwing people back. They all looked up as the smoke cleared to see a clear sky.
“ is he gone?” Kuroko asked almost not daring to. The three teens looked back at her with sad eyes and she sighed with relief. She kissed her daughter then stood.
“ I’m sorry for your loss.”
“ Yeah I’m sure.” Kuroko flinched at that, then bowed her head.
“ If I would of known….”
“ SHUT UP!”
“ I just wish…….” She froze as she felt the familiar energy and heard the cut in the air.
“MOMMY!” she turned to see Hiei with his sword raised above her daughters throat.
“ NO!”
Hiei stared at the little girl raising the sword in one final desperation to get his revenge. But as he brought it down the girl raised her hands and caught the blade , it digging deep into her hand at her futile attempt to try and stop it. Just as the blade was about to meet her throat Hiei stopped.
Flash back
Hiei stood there in the rain his blade drawn and yet held back a total of two inches from his victims throat. He could only stare at the young child before him holding off his blade. Her hands were drenched in her own blood , but she still held him off. He slowly with drew his blade and the girl dropped her hands still keeping her eye’s on him.
“ What’s your name?”
“ Samako”
End flash back
Tears gathered in his eyes as he stared at the child before him. He slowly with drew his blade from her hands . The fire demon stumbled back wards as his tears started to fog his vision.
‘just like her… she looked…..’
He dropped to his knees and dropped his sword.
“ why?” he whispered.
“ Samako I’m so sorry, I should’ve….” the whole group just stared in awe at the sudden change in events and even as they slowly reacted one by one moving to where they were needed, None of them caught the single tear that ran down Hiei’s face and formed into a blood red gem as it hit the ground.
