 Title: Poignant and beautiful

I don't really know very much about DBZ, not even what the two lead characters look like...but in the context of this fic, that really doesn't matter. A very skilled and emotional work; my favorite kind in that it's a real-life situation for characters that you have made truly three-dimensional. To someone like me who doesn't even know the anime, you have made Bulma and Vegeta into a real-life married couple, with their personality quirks, unique ways of relating to one another, and emotions that although often unsaid, are never unfelt. I too have lost family members to breast cancer; it's an insidious epidemic. Congratulations on making this killer of thousands of women into something vivid and personal through your story of one woman's struggle. I don't have much time in my life to read fanfics anymore (ah, the joys of grown-up employment!), so I'm very happy when serendipity leads me to a skilled author. I'd like to ask your permission to nominate this story for MM.org's Featured Fanfiction category. No, this isn't payback; I don't do that, since I have this sense of integrity about what fanfics I recommend to others. This is just about simple acknowledgement of a polished and poignant work.

Once again, another AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL fic. I'm so sorry for your loss, and although I've never lost someone close to me to cancer, I can see how terribly hard it would be. Your story was really touching, and it did a good job at making me shed some tears. I only wish that everyone could read this story and see how beautifully you showed that people are still people even with a sickness.

Very powerful and well-written. I, too, wrote a fic
about Piccolo dying that went along the same lines
as this one. It would seem we have both experienced
the horrors of illness in our families. Writing is a
great way to express yourself, and this proves it.
