Such a sad yet beautiful story. i could feel the depressed situation Bra and Trunks feel. I'm in no condition that my parents have cancer but heart attack yes. and i'm really afraid i will lose him someday. I read this story because it won Best drama despite the summary that imply a character. I never read a story that warn me about chara death, because it's sadden me. And what makes it worse, it happen to be my fave pairing Bulma X Vegeta. I know it sound silly, and will not do in story, but....why don't use Dragon Ball to cure her? lastly, to all people in the world, i hope the cure for the uncure diseases will find out soon.

Comment/Review:
Hey! This is such a beautiful story. After reading the summary, I wasn't sure I wanted to read it, I'm kind of afraid of spending time in stories that are not very good but surely are depressing. This one of yours is not depressing at all, is very touching and sweet. The Vegeta in your story is the one I'm so in love with (along with another zillion girls), and Bulma is certainly the brave woman that was capable of capturing the proud prince's heart. And the song… is such a beautiful song. It always makes me shiver, and I love de Dune version. I cried, of course, but not because of the terrible expectation of the inevitable. I cried because of a joyful pain, the one that celebrates a life, as it is mourning the loss. My grandmother died of cancer about a year ago; she was about this fic's Bulma's age. It was so hard to see her slipping away, from the unbeatable woman she was. Her death was not as hard as her illness. I'm so scared of this damn disease… I guess a lot of people are. Thank you so much, it really made me happy, it made me remember the good things and happy moments, things that makes life worthwhile. I also exhort you to continue being so brave and loving your family so much. Well done! Now, I think I have to read "Legacy"... I'll let you know! :)

That was the most beautiful, piercingly sad yet warm story Ive ever read. Now you have me crying long tears.. Have you any idea how embarrasing it is for a 40-year old guy to be bawling his eyes out at his desk? That'll teach me to read fanfics at work! Thanx for this very memorable moment.

I should hate you, but find myself loving you. You see, you've made me have an emo episode. This story is very well written and makes you actually feel the emotions, hence the emo-sode. Keep writing and I hope all goes well. Saim

I have to say that this is the first Bulma/Vegeta fanfic that has made me cry. Reading it reminds me of the events that followed by mother being diagnosed with breast cancer and her death when I was eight. I'm seventeen now, and I completely feel that this is a lovely story of how a family should stay strong through the hard times. I'm writing this with tears in my eyes--tears of thankfulness because reading this reminded me of my mother. After reading this I thought back on the day when she died and in those brief moments before her eyes closed she held me. It never dawned on me that for the past year I haven't thought about my mother's death from cancer (I've always tried to repress it because it only brought sadness.)This story forced me to face her death once again...but with a happy light of the joyful memories we'd share. This story made me realize the importance of family and how love does last forever even after the death of a loved one. Thank you once again! This is a masterpiece of the heart. --Gina

such a beautiful story. my hat is off to you. it may have been a depressing fic but it was so moving. never before has a fic touched me the way this has. many times throughout the course of this story i found my self holding back my tears, telling myself it was just a story. however, in the end i couldn't help myself. i cried. there's no other way to put it. you captured the emotions of the characters so well. i myself lost my grandfather 3 years ago from lung cancer. the way you portrayed the feelings of all the characters was overwhelming. so real and believable. i remember feeling such emotions many times during my grandfather's fight. everyone stayed in character as well. i could hardly picture vegeta crying but in such a situation, i can't see him doing anything else. in closing, i simply love this story. so beautiful and well written it moved me to tears. when a fic makes you cry, then you know it's good. keep writting excelent pieces like this one. i send your mother my love and wish her the best of luck.

I'm not quite sure what to say. I don't think I will ever read this again, I wont need to the story and its meaning will be with me forever. Your presentation of a subject that no woman wants to think about let alone experience is so riviting, so full of emotion. Thank you.~Fanilia

Even though I beta'd this and I've read it I don't know how many times, it still has the ability to reduce me to tears every time I read it. I love this story, Rea. It's always going to be one of my favorites.
