I don't even like Dragon Ball Z that much, but I love a good "babyfic," especially when it explores the father's POV and supernatural/sci fi/OTHER elements, and you wrote an excellent piece here. I couldn't put it down (so to speak). When I re-checked who the author was, I was blown away. "Debbiechan? THE Debbiechan, who frequents Bleach Asylum and runs the Ishida Uryuu and IshiHime Fan Clubs?!" Wow (I'm a member of both fanclubs, under the name Tatsuki on BA. I'd love if you could respond via PM!) It fits: the fic was so well written, and full of both literary and biological detail. You touched on the characters' feelings, and kept everyone and everyone's relationship to everyone else in-character (as far as I can tell). Kudos! |

I really enjoyed this piece. I'm not a huge DBZ fan, but I still found it a good read, I think that's something of an achivement. Very well done, I liked the plot and it was well paced. Thanks for sharing!

Another excellent piece of work. Vegeta happens to be my favorite character of DBZ, a childhood hero of sorts, and one of my favorite fictional characters of all time. Thanks for going beyond the story and providing a glimpse of what normal life would be like for him.

What I like about your writing is that it does tend to break away from stereotypes set in stone by fandom. You can tell a story without using sex or violent (I'm guilty of the second). I like in this story is that it is something that could have happenned in the background of fighting for Earth that wasn't focused on by Toriyama.

Wow, great job debbiechan! I really enjoyed reading this! I think my favorite part was when Vegeta asked Bulma if she wanted to talk and she said no, I want to fuck, LOL. It was really sweet to have an inside look at Vegeta's desire to come to terms with being a father to a human female. This is your first fic? Wow, awesome job! ~Claire

This was an unexpected find and made for a wonderful read. I was humbled by your expert sense of prose and "freaked out" by how thorough you were on the pregnancy-biological process. Your Bulma and Vegeta characters were extremely well written. You could not possibly improve on this fantastic story. Thanks very much for writing it!

Okay, I'll admit it - I haven't lurked in much B/V at all in the past few years, but every now and then, one like this hits you. I would say this is probably more of a Vegeta fic than a B/V, but the POV is dead-on and so perfectly in character... and I'm usually a sticker about that! This was one of the best Vegeta's I've ever read! Wow! Wonderful! It had me from the very first few lines, about him thinking about his unborn daughter and the tail issue. Absolutely beautiful, accurate (in every sense of the word), and very very very well written! Bravo!
