Wow great chapter! Isn't great when procrastination works out for the best. Again great chapter (you know that I belong to the "my reviews lack" club)!

Ah...Kagome's conscience has reasserted itself. Revenge, no matter how convincing the reasons, damages the seeker as much as the recipient but in more subtle and less-visible than physical wounds. Hate turns back on itself and eventually destroys it's host. Luckily Kagome's capacity for forgiveness and understanding is greater than her anger. Once she began 'see' the Takas for who they are, her brain began to work again...no longer running on automatic pilot. -- Hehe, I knew our doggie-boy was out there! -- Nice little chapter.

LoL! Thanks for the compliment but how could I possibly know more than you? I only try to use my knowledge of human nature and of the characters to understand what might be going on in their heads...and why. I quite enjoy it best when they are 'in character' or given damn good reasons for when they are not. Life happens, you can't control it but you can control how you deal with it. Unfortunately, your Kagome has lost most of her control, and in the middle of her search for balance, she was knocked off her precarious perch by the destruction of the village and the death of good friends. She is normally very forgiving and caring and giving but in her loss of self, she is reacting solely from her angush and guilt. I noticed that InuYasha was nowhere to be seen in this chapter, and I stand behind my belief that there is no way on Earth that he would let her walk into the Taka-youkai nesting grounds by herself, no matter how hard they might be feuding. He must be shadowing her amid the trees, letting her think she's alone...maybe hoping that that 'aloneness' will drive home how foolhardy she is being, maybe snap her out of this vengeful personna. -- Great chapter!

Sango seems to have found the answer she was looking for and her determination to acomplish her task has brought her a measure of peace. Not so for Kagome. Her deep guilt and sorrow has pushed her normally forgiving heart into an unnatural desire for revenge, not justice. She has become so focused on her perceived solution that she cannot hear the concern behind InuYasha's protests. Sango did not join her because she also believes that the attack was her own fault but the killing has to stop somewhere. Sango lost faith in her judgement but Kagome has lost her way. And now her quest for revenge has taken over, filling her with a false sense of purpose. InuYasha's reluctance doesn't make an impression on her. She know's he's not afraid to take on anyone and yet she doesn't question it. Her declaration to purify the lot of them...all youkai everywhere, smacks of irrationality. I wonder how far will she go before she realizes the path she is on. And InuYasha claiming he won't follow...what a bunch of bunk! There is NO way he would let her walk into danger alone. His bluff didn't work and, after a slight hesitation, she's going anyway. Nice try, dog-boy. - Great chapter.

I loved this chapter. Your heart showed in this chapter, and for that, I commend you! I love the caring aspect you show in Miroku because he really is so much more than just a lecher, after all! I think that Kagome's behavior is interesting in that she would see this as her own personal mission, would feel the weight of guilt and the shame that she wasn't there to help her friends, even if there wasn't anything she could really do to help. There are many who write OOC just because they can. I'm glad you're not one of them! Don't let stuff get you down! You really do have wonderful emerging skills, and I hope you continue to write for yourself, and for the rest of us to enjoy, too! ~Sueric~

Beautiful, I love it. Its full of pain, uncertainty, sadness; and yet, it has its silent promise. Keep up the good work!

This is a wonderful story! I love the plot - but that one guy that Kagome has befriended [forgive me for forgetting his name! ^^] whats wrong with him? I don't like him - he gives off BAD ENERGY! In one answer to a review, you wrote, "I'm more worried about Inuyasha"...why? Inuyasha isn't tryin to hurt nobody! He only wants his poor lil Kaggy back! haha, sorry if I'm completely destroying whatever image you had of this fanfic, but thats the way I see it. I guess I will never put him down...anyway, I really loved it, update soon! By the way, if you want you can email me at kclstenning@hotmail.com - I'd love to hear from you again! Keep it up!

My, oh my...Sango is really starting to doubt herself. She's got a bad case of the "what if's" and will drive herself crazy if not stopped. -- Poor InuYasha, he doesn't know what to do with a vengful Kagome. Her mannerisms are so different and she is so distant from him. And there is no guarantee she will find peace at the end of her self-imposed mission. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the both of them.

There really isn't much to say that I've not already said. I really enjoy your writing, and as you continue, I see more and more style develop. Nicely done. I still find this story riveting, and I enjoy every chapter you post. Don't get discouraged because it is for you that you are sharing this story, right? Remember that. It is a very precious thing. So long as you find joy in writing, then it shows in your work. Awesome, Radio. But then, you knew that, right? ~Sueric~

Revenge is a ... hmmm... can't come up with a good analogy. It's double sided though. And unfair. You know what Kagome needs? THe power to a) turn back time or b) bring the dead back to life (minus all the creepies that horrer movies might accord to such an action). Now to read on..

Absolute shock. Seriously. you KILLED THEM!!! *screeches and chases radio around the room with a rubber trout* I'll be waiting for that happy happy and even happier ending, you hear? Despite that, though, it is a well written story and i am quite captivated (me, sadist? nah). I'm saddened, i love kirara! the cute little mewling kitten. And shippou. They deserve a decent mourning... and some revenge. *brandishes the rubber trout*
