You certainly put alot of thought into how you were going to do this story haven't you? Very angsty. *grins* But you're also saying he hasn't thought of Kagome in that way even when she was 'fertile' during their travels? *Shakes head* You certainly have a different way alright. In a good way. Thanks for posting this.

Well, InuYasha and Kagome are on their way to find the taka-youkai nest. They are so hesitant with each other...the walking wounded. I hope they find a way to solve their relationship problems soon. The longer they have to sped in each others' company only makes things more awkward between them. I think that their solitary trip might be the perfect time to have some serious talking. -- Great chapter.

Ahhh, I'm still thoroughly enjoying your fic! (Awwwws for the injury! That really stinks, and I'm glad you're better!) On a brighter note, I really enjoyed the encounter with Sesshoumaru, the absolute angst dripping from your writing! Go you! As always, fantastic! Keep it up, I'll be waiting for more!

Poor Sango...her guilt is eating her up. Everyone is feeling guilty for something. That's the difficulty of having a conscience. I almost want to yell at them to "quit with the pity party already and get back to work!" They really need to find a new purpose in their lives to help them get past their grief. Kaede and Shippo wouldn't want them to be unhappy. *sigh* Angst, angst, angst....

I gotta tell you, I don't like Hiroshi. I think maybe because he's so .... Houjou-esque... LOL Nice guys, you know... LOL, though he does seem to have a very good way of dealing with Kagome, and that seems to be what she needs at the moment. Awesome chapter, as usual. Stupid formatting issues, I know your pain. Very nice, I'm so enjoying your angsy goodness, and I really look forward to more. Your writing style is compelling to read and getting better all the time (I say that every time, don't I? Too bad! It's true!) I'm intrigued with the Sango developments and can't wait to see where you go with that. Seems very foreboding, and that is just a delightful thing! Ok, now that you've jerked me away from work (LoL, Like I'm complaining!) Just want to reiterate how much I'm enjoying your fic! Update when you can! I'll be waiting! ~Sueric

ACH!! Boy, you got courage killing off Shippo, Kirara, and Kaede! But I applaud you for it. If that's the way a story has to flow, then that's the way it has to. Just gives it an edge! I'm really loving your story, so please continue when you can!!

I wonder if the taka-youkai are satisfied with the revenge they have already taken on the human village? I have no clue if they are a violent race or more like Kouga's pack. Sure, they're powerful, but what kind of 'society' are they? And as kind as Kagome is, with the devestation of the village and her friends, especially Shippo's death, I can see her wanting revenge herself. Her misplaced guilt that InuYasha was protecting her and not the village, ultimately putting them in jeapordy at this crucial time, is also driving her. Well..we will see.

Very nice! Your fic caught my attention in the forums where you were highly mentioned by Sueric, and since I am such a fan of her work, I thought I would check yours and I'm glad I did! Your style is good, very impressive, your use of words in your descriptions are powerful and image inspiring. I love the gritty quality of your fic. It isn't always so light and fluffy, is it? Great job! Keep it up! ~Squalleon

Oh my...the village is destroyed and Kaede, Kirara and Shippo dead. What a blow. That Kagome turned to InuYasha for comfort at the last shows that there is hope for their relationship. ----And where is Miroku? I can't believe he would walk away at a time like that. Sure, he helped with the first aid, but there is more that needs healing than physical wounds. These people just lost their homes. You have intrigued me. What would pull a Monk away from so many traumitized people, let alone a distraught Sango? ----Great chapter.

Poor Kagome. Poor Sango. Poor Inuyasha. Poor...gah, poor everyone! I think I do need a break. It's going to take me until January where I'm not crying every time I read this! That's a good thing though. It appears that Inuyasha is going to kill him some taka (hawk) youkai, yes? Then again, you have to pity the poor parents of the taka youkai. It was young...and considering I have young ones, myself, it probably didn't know any better, right? The parents lost someone important to them, too.... Yes, how will Sango atone for this?

This is absolutely fantastic. I love angst, and you write it very, very well. I must admit that this is something I've envisioned time and again for these two after the series ends, so you aren't alone. Hehe, to the hells with those who think that all Inuyasha fanfics must be sugary sweet through and through! ^_^ Can't wait to read more!

Wow, very dark and angsty. My heart is in my throat, how sad. Kagome's relationship has bled over into obsession - much like all us Inu-fans :P - and is dealing with the realization that she has lost her center. Her feelings for him are so real that everything else paled in comparison and She got caught up in living for the moment. Hopefully she can do some soul searching and return to InuYasha for a more healthy, balanced relationship. ----Nice job!
