The look of her eyes is penetrating and all-knowing. Such an expression is certainly hard to capture and so i must compliment you on teh intensity of her stare- it takes a great observer to be able to depict it. I especially love the yellow of the materials draped over her (gahh i cant get the word- i keep thinking shawl) its really rich in colour and expression. please keep going

Wow, that's beautiful!! The face and all over expression is fantastic. You're a great artist.

Actually, her eyes are (blueish) grey in this interpretation... at least, on my monitor. :) The brooch-pin was simply intended to be modeled after the aegis, rather than actually being her shield. Glad you liked the pic. :D

And weaving. Also known as the grey-eyed Godess, but I don't hold that against you. I like your take on her aegis, though I imagined Medusa's head to be larger. Oh, well.

This does well portraying her beauty and a kind of sense of power... my one comment is that her forehead is a bit small, but it's still pretty.

I did the coloring for Athena in colored pencil, scanned it in, then used Paintshop Pro to smooth things out and add detail and the background. A good tip for when you're using a graphics program and want lots of detail is to actually work the pic at least twice the size of the final pic. Then when you reduce its size, it looks much more detailed. :)
