SSJ: Last time on GINGA GIRI GIRI!

Amiko: Kensou and Kino fought their opponents!

Kensou: I met my master, and in the end, I had to defeat him.

TM: During this, Kino meets Daedalus, but is delayed just enough for Daedalus to escape.

Davis: Now that Cindy is being taken to Virus, how can we stop the apocalypse?

Van: Find out NEXT! On with the show!

---- Chapter 92: Countdown to the End - 3 : Fallen From Heaven ----

The City of the Gods was quiet. The Titans were scattered all over the area, screws and
gears laying everywhere, burnt and charred from their explosions. The Trinity, too, were
scattered, but ever so slowly, the nanomachines gathered and reformed, and the Trinity
stood again. They looked about and saw that they were alone.

"Damn it!" swore Id. "We couldn't stop those Titans."

"It was very difficult to destroy one without setting off the bombs, even for these
bodies," said Superego. "Even though we knew how."

"Never mind that," Ego called to the two as he stepped towards the side of the cathedral,
seeing Kino sprawled on the ground.

Kino shook his head in pain. His head throbbed with great intensity. "What time is it?" he
asked the Trinity.

"11:56," replied Superego. "You were stunned for a minute."

Kino's eyes shot open. Time was of the essence now that they were found out. He quickly got
to his feet, ignoring the pain in his head. He then noticed that the chair where Cindy had
sat was empty. The blood rushed from his face. He swore, "Damn it! We need to get in!"

The Trinity's eyes flashed, looking at the walls. They saw the forms of Daedalus, Cindy,
and Mauzel gathered at the end of it. They saw, too, that the stone wall was all that was
holding up the immense roof, and making a hole in it would make the cathedral collapse.
They all dashed to the door.

Kino slammed upon the door, but the door was barred from the inside. "Daedalus!" he roared.
"Get back out here, you coward!" Then, the Trinity put their combined strength into shoving
open the door.

The Trinity quickly threw open the door, shattering the metal that barred the door. Before
them, there was Cindy, standing upon the stage of the Cathedral, right before Virus. Kino
screamed, "Hey, Cindy! Get away from there!"

He saw that Cindy didn't respond. She didn't say a word nor move an inch. She didn't even
blink. He saw the ooze creeping up her leg. Kino gritted his teeth and dashed towards the
stage. He shouted, "Trinity! Fire!"

Ego quickly shifted into position, falling on one knee and aiming the giant cannon at
Daedalus and Virus. Its eyes glowed blood red as it aimed the cannon directly at the heart
of Virus. Id and Superego, too, helped aim the cannon as Ego put all of its energy into
pulling the trigger.

An enormous boom shook the very cathedral as it rumbled towards Daedalus. Daedalus turned
and saw the gigantic blast racing towards him.

Kino saw with utter surprise, though, the beam bouncing off a field before Daedalus and
flying back at the Trinity. The Trinity, too, were taken aback, as the full force of the
beam tore straight through them and the cannon.

Kino saw with disbelief Daedalus' pitch black skin, contrasting with his white lab coat.
"You underestimate me again, Kino!" Daedalus spoke gruffly as the coat tore away and fell
to the ground. Kino saw Daedalus' body completely change, his bones lengthening and his
muscles growing to an impossible size. Daedalus' glasses twisted as the man's skull
widened, finally breaking and falling to the floor.

Kino saw, finally, Daedalus standing tall above him, completely blocking the light over the
President. The demonic body and face stole all confidence from Kino. Kino's eyes were wide
with surprise as Daedalus yelled, "You shouldn't have underestimated me, Kino!" With the
force of his arm, pews were ripped clean off the ground as he slapped Kino into the brick
wall. Kino coughed blood as he smashed into the wall, feeling pain in every part of his
body.

'That much power in one slap?!' Kino thought as he looked up at Daedalus. Daedalus smiled
as he pulled back his fist. 'Is this it?!' Kino yelled in his mind. 'Am I gonna die to this
weak shit?!'

"KAMIKAZE KENBU!" suddenly rang through the building. Kino and Daedalus were stunned from
surprise as a series of slashes suddenly appeared on Daedalus' side. He screamed in pain
and flew back, spinning and facing his attacker: Kensou Mishima.

Daedalus' eyes flickered with unease. "Kensou!" he shouted. "What are you doing?!"

Kensou looked at Daedalus in surprise. He heard Daedalus continue, "Why are you helping
Kino Tsumuji?! Is he not your enemy? Did he not kill your father?!" Kensou's face made no
change as Daedalus continued, "Come on, sheathe your weapon! Help me defeat Kino! Then,
you'll get your place of power back, I promise!"

Kino looked up at Daedalus' pleading face. He turned to Kensou, and he saw Kensou sheathe
his blades. Daedalus smiled from ear to ear. "Yes, Kensou!" he called. "That is the way!
Let us join and defeat our common ene-"

"FUTAYA!" Kensou suddenly screamed. Daedalus froze in surprise as Kensou's arms became a
blur. He saw, though, that Kensou's weapon suddenly became shorter, and a shining, blurred
object raced directly towards him. Daedalus was taken aback by the sheer speed of the
weapon, and he did nothing to prevent it from ripping into his eye.

Blood flew everywhere. Daedalus screamed in pain, thrashing the pews about in anger. "MY
EYE!" he screamed. "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS, KENSOU?!"

Kensou glared at Daedalus. "Talk!" he demanded. "What does my father have to do with any of
this?!"

Daedalus ripped out the nidachi in his eye and threw it away. He roared at Kensou, "YOU
THINK I'LL TALK AFTER WHAT YOU'VE DONE?!"

He pulled back a fist, and with immense speed, he slammed it into the ground where Kensou
had stood. Kensou had leapt above and landed upon Daedalus' shoulder. Blood flew into the
air again as the nidachi ripped into Daedalus' shoulder. "You will talk!" commanded
Daedalus. "Tell me what my father had in this?! Why did he spread the Plague?! Why?!"

Kensou didn't see Daedalus' other hand speeding at him and knocking him away. Kensou
crashed into the pews in pain as Daedalus threw the nidachi at him, cutting into shirt and
pinning him to the pew. Daedalus glared at Kensou with his one eye, blood all over. "You
will not get anything out of me!" he shouted as he stepped towards the man.

Suddenly, he felt pain all over his body. Metal spikes had suddenly pierced his arms and
legs, and before he knew it, he was knocked onto his back and nailed to the floor. He
realized that the nails were the Trinity, keeping him locked upon the ground. "Speak up,
Daedalus," Kino spoke from afar. "I'm curious as well. Why did Mishima spread the plague?
After all, as the president of the world, he didn't need money."

Daedalus grit his teeth, but still found himself unable to move. He finally consented, "Of
course, he didn't need the people to die in order to make money. No, that was just a side
effect. He spread the plague simply so people will die."

Kino's and Kensou's eyes widened in surprise. "He had joined with Virus, just like I. We
were partnered with the force known as Virus in order to further our plans for true power
and knowledge." Kino and Kensou got to their feet, stepping towards Daedalus. He turned to
them and asked, "Do you know where Virus derives his power?"

Kensou and Kino exchanged glances. "Death. Whenever a soul near him dies, he can feed off
of it to gain strength. Such was seen in Rantmon's cursed aura of the dead, and such is why
he was so powerful in the Underworld. Such is why he needed President Mishima to kill such
a huge amount of people. And such is why he needs to destroy this world. It is survival of
the fittest. The weak become food for the strong, Virus. And now, we are reaching the point
where our plan can be put into motion! Virus will be the Destroyer, destroying this world,
and with Mauzel and the girl's power, he can open the Gate into the girl's world."

Kensou and Kino were taken completely by surprise. "Invade Cindy's world?!" Kensou shouted.

"That's his plan?!" Kino said with anger as he looked up at Mauzel and Cindy. He saw that
the ooze had reached her stomach, and the veins on her arms were thick and visible. He
dashed forward towards Cindy, Kensou following.

Blood flew everywhere. Kensou and Kino were suddenly knocked away by Daedalus' arm, bloody
from ripping free of the Trinity's nails. "You won't stop Virus! It's too late!"

Kensou and Kino crashed into the pews, coughing blood from the pain. Daedalus continued
ripping himself free from the Trinity, blood forming rivers between the stones of the
ground. But to his dismay, he saw the Trinity reform into their human bodies, glaring at
him. He sighed and thought, 'Damn it. I always wanted to be strong. I wanted to be the one
with power, not the one spat upon by it. I had finally achieved it, and now...'

His thoughts were suddenly stopped. Three blades from each of the Trinity's arms had cut
through his head. Daedalus collapsed in a mess of blood, no longer moving in the world. The
Trinity turned towards Virus, but they saw that they were too late.

Dashing down a metal pillar was SSJ Heero, throwing his arms forward and back to speed up.
Towards the darkness, he dashed as fast as he could, hoping to reach Cindy quickly. Sweat
fell behind him as he dashed faster than the beads could fall, towards the Core below.

He suddenly noticed the winds change. Without looking back, he knew Amiko sped down from
the dark and reached him, flying with her green wings. "Yo!" SSJ greeted with a grin. "Long
time no see!"

"It's only been an hour, idiot!" Amiko called back with a smile. The two raced down
together, noticing the pillars were getting closer together. Soon enough, they noticed
another racing down a nearby pillar. It was Davis, Mokona sitting upon his shoulder.

Davis waved, "Hey!" They all smiled as they still raced towards the black abyss below. They
suddenly heard a loud scraping coming from above.

On yet another pillar, they saw Van sliding down the edge of the pillar using some sort of
strange sled. They realized it was a body. "Hey," Van called without enthusiasm.

"That's sort of cruel, isn't it?" Amiko called as she kept her eyes at the space before her.

"The guy was an idiot anyway," Van replied. "If it wasn't for me, he probably would have
won a Darwin Award for getting liposuction with a vacuum cleaner anyway." Davis, Amiko, and
SSJ sweatdropped at that.

They all turned towards the darkness before them, where Cindy was held somewhere in Virus'
clutches. They suddenly saw a faint light far down below.

SSJ quickly moved his feet so he began to skid to slow his speed, and Davis did the same.
Amiko's wings of energy flapped and pulled her upwards as Van twisted the body under him to
slow his slide. The four slowed as the city became visible, broken buildings all over the
place. They heard booms and deep crashes coming from the largest building in the old
citadel.

They saw TM and Suzaku, too. TM had pierced Suzaku's brain with his Izanagi and began
limping towards the cathedral when they reached the citadel. SSJ leapt off the pillar and
landed next to TM. TM suddenly noticed SSJ and grinned, "Yo!" Amiko twisted through the air
and landed beside the two. Davis and Van leapt off and landed behind them all, and Gouki's
body hit the ground with a dull thud.

Amiko was quick to heal TM with her magic. With that, they looked towards the cathedral,
and with looks of pure confidence and assurance, they dashed towards the Grand Cathedral,
whose doors were wide open. Their eyes widened in surprise at what they saw before them.

Past the dead and bloody body of Daedalus, past the panting and heaving Kino and Kensou,
they saw Cindy kneeling before the giant wall of ooze. There was Mauzel, proudly lying
vertically within the pool, smirking at Kino and Kensou. There was Cindy, eyes blank and
unemotional, and arm stretched to her side. There was a giant arm of ooze proudly displayed
before them. The five yelled at once, "CINDY!"

Kino and Kensou looked behind in surprise. Mauzel suddenly noticed them as they dashed
forward, readying their weapons. She smiled. "Welcome, everyone!" Mauzel proudly greeted.
"I'm glad you all have arrived in time to see the birth of a God!"

Everyone was suddenly frozen, seeing Mauzel sneer at them. "Mau... Zel?!" Davis could only
mutter.

"What the Hell is this?!" demanded TM at the beautiful face surrounded by the vile
substance. "You... What have you done to Mauzel?!"

"'I?'" repeated Mauzel. "It was all her choice to fall to me." Everyone glared at Virus.
"She's weak, see. She has little power on her own, save for whatever administrative powers
she has over this world. She had to rely on Rantmon. She had to rely on someone to give her
strength. Such was why she called for you all once Rantmon fell to me. And such was why she
now turned to me once I had cut her off from everything!"

Suddenly, a meteor struck the space just above where Mauzel's head was. Mauzel turned to an
angry Davis. "I won't allow this, Virus!" he screamed as he held up his gloves. "I won't
allow you to insult Mauzel and my friend like this!"

"He's right!" TM added as he raised his Izanagi and rested it on his shoulder. "We are here
to free Cindy and her! I also won't allow you to do this!"

"I can't allow anymore innocents to die!" Amiko yelled as she raised her June Bow, "You
will fall here, Virus!"

"What you said was bullshit!" SSJ swore at Virus, dropping into his battoujutsu stance.
"While we're here, we won't let you say another word against them!"

"I have to pay you back, Virus, for what you did to me," Van added as he drew his kodachi.
"Messing with my memory is one step too far."

Kensou and Kino smiled as they looked back upon the five. They, too, stood tall and with
the five. "For my father and my master, who you poisoned with your hatred," Kensou shouted
as he picked up his nidachi and put them together, "I will kill you on my pride!"

"As the President, I can't allow my constituents to die!" Kino yelled as well, drawing his
gun from his holster. "As a friend, I won't allow these children to suffer anymore!"

Mauzel looked down upon the seven of them with immense disgust. "God, could you people get
any sappier?!" Mauzel snapped at them. The seven's determined eyes remained unchanged from
her words. She just sighed. "Well, so begins the final act. Rise!"

Everyone saw Cindy suddenly get up to her feet, eyes still and unmoving. Everyone was
surprised to see her raise the giant arm at them. Everyone was even more surprised to see
it recede and show her revolver aimed straight at Kino. She squeezed the trigger, and a
giant crack echoed through the building.

The bullet sped towards Kino, but the wind quickly raged and formed a wall around him,
throwing the bullet away. Amiko's green aura poured from her body. Following her example,
TM's great blue aura of water, SSJ's pale blue aura of the stars, and Davis' ever changing
aura burst out as well. Van gripped his kodachi tightly, as Kino did with his nidachi. They
all knew they had to battle against their dear friend.
