"Now that Kagome is healed, we better get back to the fight." Her voice dropped from a kind low voice to a cold hard one. "But…Why you just helped Kagome, why would you want to still fight?" "It is my destiny to bring down you and Kikiyou, so until I do, I won't back down for any reason or cause." "Your so selfish well if it's a fight you want then I'll give you a fight." Inuyasha stood up looking down over Kikai. "You might want to move your human. Because if I attack her again I assure you I want save her." Kikai got to her feet, watching Inuyasha scoop Kagome up and laying her against a tree. "You'll be ok Kagome, and I'll be ok." He whispered in her ear planting a smooth kiss on her forehead. "Ok Kikai I'm ready, but I won't go easy on you!" "Funny thing I was going to say the exact thing." "But who cares, die Inuyasha!" She plunged at him swinging her claws towards his stomach; he leaped into the sky cascading down to her with his Tessigia in his hands. "Big mistake!" She called, swinging her self around him as he was falling to hit her with the sword and elbowed him in the back, sending him to the ground. Inuyasha fell hard but struggled him self to his feet. "You'll pay Kikai, you will!" His voice was husky and mean. He jumped from the ground levering himself with his right foot as he tried to slash at Kikai and succeeded. He pushed herself backward from his hand holding her stomach with her head hanging. "So you finally caught up with me." She lifted her head showing him a wicked grin playing on her. "But don't think you've won yet." She pulled her hand from her stomach, and the scratches that were once there were now gone. "Shit I forgot she could heal herself, I need to catch her off guard somehow, but now I must shut my mind off." His head was now blank from any thought so that Kikai could not know what he was going to try and do. "So you've shut your mind off, well that doesn't matter because you'll never defeat me." "We'll see about that." Kikai then flew back to the ground so that she could be facing Inuyasha. "That sword you're carrying, it must be the Tessigia, ne?" "Yes, and it can do a lot more then rest on my shoulders." "I'm sure it can and I see you have mastered its weight well done." "How did you know?" Inuyasha was a little shocked at how she knew it was reforged. "I noticed that the blade was more sharp then that of a regular sword and its width had increased. So I figured out that you had used a full demons tooth. See you couldn't have used yours, because if you did it would have been much smaller so you used your new tooth of when you were a demon but had stayed with you when you changed back into a hanyou. But by using a full demon's tooth it makes the weight intense so you must have had trouble at some point when it was reforged. "Eh, lucky guess." "Maybe but I know more than you think." "Enough talking I'm gonna end this right now!" Inuyasha took his sword off of his shoulder and pointed the end towards Kikai. "This is my Tessigia's true power oh and did I mention I mastered that to." "Oh really then let's see it." Their winds grew around them colliding together but the wind scar didn't show. "The wind scar where is it?" Inuyasha was beginning to get frustrated with it. "Awe I see your trying to do the wind scar. I've seen you do this attack before, it works on soul energy ne? Creating the path to the enemy's soul so that you can use it against them in destroying them. I'm afraid you can't use that attack on me." "What? Why?" "If it uses the soul that's one things I don't have. The reason for that is like I said before I'm that of a shadow demon created from a priestess. I got my own body, and share her mind but the soul that I was to have stayed within the priestess so I'm only a shadow of her image but still a true shadow demon. So if you want to destroy my soul then you have to destroy her first and I'm sure you couldn't do that since she is already died." "If you're her shadow then how are you still alive if she is dead her soul should be gone too." "That's where your wrong, see she might be dead but our soul rest's deep within her waiting to be awaken for me to have." "That can't be possible!" "Believe what you want, but I'm going to get my revenge and without your wind scar how can you beat me?" "Don't worry I will find a way!" The two winds started to die down leaving a cloud of dust where they once were. They stood staring at each other barely seeing but a form in the dust for more than a minute until Inuyasha fled toward Kikai giving out a shrill battle cry. Kikai could feel his energy close but with all of the dust in her eyes she couldn't tell where he was. She glided to the left but Inuyasha came soaring down from the sky. "Iron claw reverse soul stealer!" He cried as he sliced through the stunned Kikai. She fell to the ground scarcely breathing. Inuyasha came down landing on his one knee looking at the nonmoving body that lay before him. "It's finally over." He said his breathing heavy holding his wounds that had now took effect on him making him shiver in pain. "Not yet, it's not over yet." Kikai spoke roughly pushing herself upward with her arms. Inuyasha's ears flew back and his head shot up staring at her in horror. "How can she still be alive I sliced through her it should have ended her life, this doesn't make since." He thought getting angry from it. "Like I told you, you can't kill me, I will only keep coming back until I have fulfilled my task." She coughed, blood trickling down from the corner of her mouth. The blood from her open side began to flow out of her rapidly. She then wobbled to her feet swaying back and forth. Her head began to lighten and her sight was going blurry. "I can't die I must stay alive for my father's sake and mine!" Inuyasha only watched her since he was to shocked and his body was growing heavy weighing him down because he too was losing a lot of blood from the open wounds. "You truly are a great warrior Inuyasha, don't forget that. But I can't let you live I must proceed on." Her words were calm and she didn't seem like she minded the opening through her side. "Ho…How can you be so calm? You're nearly dead and yet you haven't given up hope that you will kill me!" He raised his voice so that it could reach her and anything else that was near by. "I'm calm because I do not wish to get angry I believe if you are angry then you lose your sense to concentrate. And that is one thing I will not let myself come to. Even if I lose this battle I will never be angry with you, or myself, and that is what keeps me alive." "It's all bullshit, to live you would have to feel anger without it your always calm or happy and the world wasn't meant to be that way. If it was then we would all be living a boring life and what's the point to live if it's going to be boring!" "You could say that but I will go on trusting in what my father has taught me the ways of life." She coughed again letting her hand fall from holding her side. "If this is my time to die then let it be but I will not die easily, until my body gives up my heart will not so I will keep fighting." "I do not wish to fight you but if I don't kill you, you will still keep coming after me and I can't put anyone else in danger." "I'm… glad you see it my wa…way." "But let me ask you one question, if you can heal yourself then why don't you? And I'm only telling you this because I know that you already know you can." "It's not that simple if I wanted to heal myself I would but I have already used to much of my energy to heal my cuts and Kagome's life. "You see you're my energy will only let me heal a certain amount and by healing Kagome it took up more then it could since she was on the verge of death." "So you knew that you could die if you used up to much of it and yet you still saved Kagome?" "I believe that another's life comes before your own, even if you don't care as much for them you still always need to help before you help yourself." "You sure do believe in a lot of different things then most others would." "Well it's not just me it's also my father and the priestess that live inside of me." "Well you sure are high spirited." He let a small grin play on his lips. "Enough talk, me must hurry and finish this so that I can find Kikiyou." "I'm ready if you are." "You know I'm always ready." "Ok if you say so." Inuyasha started to run after her with full force. Kikai also began to run after Inuyasha not caring about her open side. They both collided into each other flying backward. Kikai smashed into a tree and Inuyasha slid across the ground. "I…I can't lose but if I have to then I will accept my fate." She whispered hanging her head low staring at the blood that was covering her robes. Inuyasha sat up trying to get to his feet but fell back down to his knees. "This is not fate. Not yet. My life isn't over damn it!" Kikai staggered to her knees lifting her head toward Inuyasha. "I'm sorry Inuyasha but my life has not yet ended so I must use whatever power left I have to end your life even if it means killing myself." "Wha…What are…you thin…thinking?" "It's over! Stop hurting yourself!" "The only way I can hurt myself is to betray my father and I won't let him down." She lifted her hand turning it so that she could see her palm. A small blue ball began to form in her hand getting larger and larger. She took one last glimpse of the evening sun begging to set over the spring. "I'm coming home father." She turned her head to Inuyasha who was panting hard. "Forgive me." She said before throwing her hand out letting go of the blue flame. She watched as it soared through the air to Inuyasha. Inuyasha lifted his head to see the ball coming toward him, he didn't care anymore he just kneeled there waiting for it to end his life. "Kagome don't forget me, just please forgive me."
