It was after school and Inuyasha was waiting at Sango’s locker. He knew she was upset, and hated himself for not being able to catch her. He hated to see Sango upset, he often worried that she’d go back to her old ways. He sighed, just as Sango turned the corner walking right past him and opened her locker.
“ Sango?”
“ What?” She asked moving things around.
“ Look, I know everything Ayame was saying upset you.”
“ No, it didn’t.” She said simply making sure her locker cover her face.
“ Yes, it did.” he said suddenly sounded angry “ Stop fucking shutting me out! I want to help you!”
“ Don’t.”
“ Why?”
“ Just because.”
Suddenly, Inuyasha reached over and shut her locker so hard that it caused the other students to stop what they were doing and stare. Sango looked at Inuyasha not sure what she should do.
“ Why in the hell do you not want to talk to me all of a sudden? What the hell did I do?”
“ Nothing! I’m just fucking sick of dumping all my problems on you! God damn it Inuyasha!!”
“ What? You don’t dump all your problems on me. I want to help you.” He said suddenly calming down.
“ That’s just it! I want to help you! You never let me help you, and you’re always helping me. I think you’ve helped me enough, let me return the favor.”
“ What? Are you kidding me?” he said blinking, “ You’ve helped keep me alive.”
“ Maybe on the outside,” she started, “ But what about on the inside?”
Inuyasha stared at her, she really did know him too well. When he didn’t say anything she knew the answer and began to walk away.
“ Sango.” He said walking after her.
“ No, it’s okay. Let’s just not talk about it anymore.” She said sighing a little.
“ Alright then.” He said walking beside her.
“ What the fuck are you all looking at!” She yelled at the staring students.
Suddenly, the students snapped out of whatever daze they were in and began stuffing things in their backpacks, and shuffling things in thier lockers.
“ Nice guys!” said a voice from behind her.
Sango looked over to see Kohaku and his camera crew once again, and instantly wanted to kill him.
“ What the fuck Kohaku!?! Have you become a professional stalker now?” She yelled and stopped walking once again.
“ No, I heard a something going on in the hall so I gathered up my crew to see what was going on.”
“ GAH!” She yelled as she began to walk away again.
“ Come on guys!” Kohaku said to his crew as they followed Sango and Inuyasha.
Sango kept walking until she came to the outside of the school gym, and stopped in her tracks, patiently waiting for the boys to get out of the way she could check the list for who made the team. She watched as some boys gave each other high fives, and they began to clear out. Some of them began to walk past her giving her dirty looks. When she walked over to go check for her name she saw Hojo, Koga, and Miroku standing to the side talking. Inuyasha stood back waiting for her while Kohaku took this as another documentary worthy moment and clicked on his camera, while Souten held up the mircophone, and Kanna adjusted some things on the camera. Just as Sango walked up and scanned the list for her name, Koga and his friends stopped talking and looked at her. After checking the list she spun around giving a look that didn’t give anything away.
“ Well?” Inuyasha and Kohaku asked.
“ Did you make it?” Souten asked.
“ Of course I did.” Sango said grinning.
“ Congrats girl!” Inuyasha said walking up to give her a hug.
“ Thank you! Thank you!”
“ You know what this means?” Kohaku said from behind the lens.
“ PARTY TIME!!” Inuyasha, Sango, and Kohaku yelled with a laugh.
Sango let go of Inuyasha just as Souten and Kanna exchanged looks with each other.
“ We’re going to go celebrate.” Kohaku said to them.
“ You guys can come too,” Sango started “ Kohaku wouldn’t be complete without his crew.”
“ Cool!” Souten and Kanna said in unison.
“ Let’s invite Ayame too,” Kohaku said “ I think we should show her what cool people we really are.”
“ Sure.” Sango said
“ Well, let’s go then.”
“ I can’t believe coach actually let you on the team!” Koga said from where he was standing just as Kohaku turned his camera on him.
“ Hey, man leave her alone,” Hojo said “ She made the team fair and square.”
“ Don’t take up for that bitch!”
Sango rolled her eyes and was just about to walk off when she heard someone call her name.
“ Congratulations! You more than earned that spot!” Yelled Miroku as Koga and Hojo gave him a look.
“ Thanks,” she said “ Hey you want to come celebrate with us? I see you made the team too.”
“Sure.” Miroku said a little shocked she even asked.
“ I thought we were gonna hang tonight Miro!” Hojo said as Miroku began to walk over to were they were standing.
“ Sorry dude,” he said “ Change of plans.”
Inuyasha’s eyes almost bugged out as Miroku walked over. He really couldn’t believe she even asked, that definately wasn’t like her. Kohaku noticed it too as he became tempted to check and see if she had a fever but he decided just to let it go as they walked off to find Ayame. Kohaku shut off his camera and exchanged looks with Kanna and Souten. They didn't even know Sango that well and even they thought it was strange.
“ This outta be interesting..” Kohaku thought as they made their way back into the school
