Back at the King’s Castle….
Donald, Sorry to rush off without sayin' goodbye, but there's big trouble brewin'. Not sure why, but the stars have been blinkin' out, one by one. And that means disaster can't be far behind. I hate to leave you all but I've gotta go check into it. There's someone with a "key"-the key to our survival. So I need you and Goofy to find him, and stick with him. Got it? We need that key or we're doomed! So go to Traverse Town and find Leon. He'll point you in the right direction. P.S. Would ya apologize to Minnie for me? Thanks, pal.

Four concerned faces glanced at one another. “Oh dear, what could this mean?” Daisy said a worried look coming to her face. “It means will just have to trust the king” queen Minnie said. “Gawrsh, I sure hope he's all right.” goofy stated. Donald nudged goofy glaring. “Your Highness. Don't worry. We'll find the king and this "key." Donald said smiling reassuringly. “Thank you” Minnie said “both of you.” Donald turned to Daisy. “Daisy, can you take care of- “Of course.” Daisy interrupted “You be careful, now, both of you.” “Oh” Minnie said getting Donald and Goofy’s attention “and to chronicle your travels, he will accompany you.” She moved to the side to reveal a rather small creature bouncing ecstatically. “Over here! Cricket's the name.” The creature said bowing “Jiminy Cricket, at your service.” “We hope for your safe return. Please help the king.” Donald nodded to Daisy. “hey!” Donald shouted when his eyes settled on goofy who was now saluting him. Donald snatched his arm angrily. “You're coming, too!”

Gawrsh, Jiminy, your world disappeared, too? Goofy asked in surprise as the trio headed down the long staircase to the ship. “It was terrible. We were scattered.” “And as far as I can see, I'm the only one who made it to this castle.” Jiminy said sadly. “Goofy?” Donald said peering sideways at him. “Oh, right... I gotcha. While we're in the other worlds, we can't let on where we're from. We've gotta protect the world border.” Donald rolled his eyes "Order." “Right. World order.” Goofy corrected himself. “I guess we'll need new duds when we get there.” Goofy added as they continued their descent. They all stopped as they entered the brightly colored room. Donald cleared his throat and leaned into the megaphone. “Hello up there? Donald Duck to launch crew! Anytime you're ready.” Donald watched as the two chipmunks above them in the control room moved around. Dale gave a node to his partner and Chip pushed a button on the control panel. Levers came out and picked up the three and proceeded to place them into the cockpit of the Gummi ship. Donald smiled as the engines started. He sucked in a mouthful of air and pointed ahead of him. “Blast off!!” He cried and then he and Goofy gave a startled cry as the ground below them opened up and dropped them into the darkness.

Sora’s POV
“I just can't wait. Once we set sail, it'll be great.” The words were replaying over in my head as I was laying on my bed. “It will be Ok won’t it?” I asked myself out loud as I observed the old toy boat hanging above my ceiling. I sighed and turned toward the window. Suddenly a flash from outside caught my eye. I sat up startled “A storm?” Oh, no, the raft!…

“Sora!” A voice called from the kitchen. “Sora, dinner's ready. Come on down“ their was a pause. “Sora?” a voice asked worriedly into the empty room.

My breath came out in quick gasps as I tied my boat frantically onto the dock. I had seen it. The huge black sphere above the island. Something wasn’t right. My mood soon became worse as I noticed that Laguna and Riku’s boats were also here. I ran to the beach. I had to find them. Suddenly my body froze as the shadow underneath my feet began to move. “This can’t be happening it has to be another dream.” I was now staring into the eyes of hundreds of shadow creatures. The same ones from my dream. I let out a startled cry and jumped back as one of them leaped up and brought it’s claws down just inches away from my head. I fell back into the sand and my hand hit a solid object. I turned to see that one of tidus’s practice swords had been left. I thanked him silently, Then whirled around and knocked back the approaching creatures. I got up quickly and ran past them. They hissed and melted into the ground following my path up the beach. My heart gave a joyful leap as I noticed a silhouette on the adjacent island. I ran up the plank and up onto the dock leading to the top. “Riku!” He turned. “The door…has opened” he replied slowly. “What?” I didn’t understand. “The door has opened, Sora!” He said more excitingly. “Now we can go to the outside world!” “What are you talking about?… listen we should find Laguna, something weird is going on here-” “Laguna can come with us” he interrupted. “Once we step through, we might not be able to come back. We may never see our parents again. There's no turning back. But this may be our only chance. We can't let fear stop us! I'm not afraid of the darkness!” What wrong with you? I asked now close to tears. “We have to leave.” “Riku!” I cried out in shock as a dark shadow began to engulf him. His face remained expressionless. I ran toward him and he lifted his hand toward mine. “Riku” I reached out my hand in turn and tried to fight against the overpowering shadow. “Almost…Please” I gave a silent prayer. There! My hand closed around his and suddenly a shocking flash of light appeared in between us. I stepped back in shock grasped now in my hands was a strange shaped object. KeybladeKeyblade…I heard a voice whisper in my head I shivered. Riku had disappeared. I stood their in shock then suddenly felt myself become enraged with sudden anger. I turned toward the now approaching creatures. I lifted the new weapon in front of me. They were going to pay. I jumped into the center of the group and began unleashing a chain of attacks. As soon as strange blade hit the creatures a rainbow of sparks flew into air and the creatures sunk onto the ground. Whatever this Keyblade was it was powerful. I continued fighting until I suddenly found that I didn’t have any energy left. I stopped to catch my breath. More of the strange creatures were appearing by the minute. I had to find somewhere to hide. “I know” I trailed my eyes to the small opening by the waterfall. I gave one last look at the approaching shadows then fled. I stumbled down into the dark cave. Weary with relief. My eyes widened when I noticed that I was not the only down here. “Laguna!” I cried out in surprise. “Raine” He whispered. He sounded close to tears. His breath caught in his throat. “Laguna?” I asked again now noticing the unfamiliar door in front of him. “Sora” He turned as if he just now had noticed my presence. I began to walk toward him when all the sudden the door in front of him blew open. A powerful gust of wind blew throughout the cave. Laguna was suddenly blown forward. I looked up and opened my arms to catch him. Then froze as his body passed through me and disappeared. I didn’t even have enough time to process what had happened before I too was lifted from the floor and blown out of the cave. I braced myself for the harsh impact onto the ground. I groaned a lifted myself up. To find just inches away from my face that the ground was completely gone. A giant creature now towered above me. I lifted my head to see yet another creature from my dream. Yet I knew now that this was definitely not another dream. There was no way I’d be feeling this much pain if it were. Both physically and mentally. I was surprised to have found that throughout my ordeal, my hand had remained grasping the strange weapon that had appeared. I twirled it around in my hand “I can’t give up now” I thought as I raced forward. I dodged the creators fist as it hit the ground causing me to lose my balance. I regained my balance, proceeded to his fist and began to attack him. “Riku, Laguna, I’m sorry” I jumped out of the way as he removed his hand from the ground and a giant ball of energy began to form. I shielded myself as he unleashed a rain of colorful spheres. I sunk to the ground as one hit my shoulder and a shock of electric current flowed through me. I groaned. Then jumped out of the way quickly as more began to swirl around me. The creatures hand sliced through the air and I leaped up to intercept his attack. I lifted the blade above my head and with a cry brought it down with all the strength I had left. The creature jerked in response and froze. I landed on the ground and sunk to my knees exhausted. Then suddenly it began to levitate into the air. Into the dark massive sphere above it’s head. I turned quickly and latched myself onto a jagged rock as the powerful wind began to suck me up as well. I felt my arm pull painfully as I suddenly felt my whole body lift into the air. My fingers began to slip and before I knew it I was being tossed into the air into the dark cloud.
