While Sakura eats breakfast, Naruto comes bouncing in shouting..

“Its Sasuke! He’s finally come back! Come on, Come on lets go!” Naruto was jumping around like crazy and made hand gestures pointing outside her door. Sakura swallowed her fish and mumbled..

“Okay, okay. Wait up lemme finish my breakfast first.” she reached for another piece of fish but Naruto grabbed her wrist and pulled her outside.

“Grr…Naruto! It’s not polite AT ALL to disturb a lady’s meal!” Sakura growled.

‘But-but. Sasuke! He’s back! Don’t you just wanna go and hug him or something?” Naruto was confused.

Sakura laughed after swallowing and said, “Actually, I already saw him last night after you left. And why would I do that? He’d probably punch me if I did.” She kept on laughing but Naruto was startled.

“Sakura-chan!” he said in a ‘why the hell would you say that’ kind of way, “He would never do that! Maybe to me but its cause I’m special!” He grinned and they trudged off towards their training area. There, Kakashi and Sasuke seemed to be sharing a conversation but once saw the two approaching, hushed.

“Hello Kakashi-sensei! Sasuke-butt your back! Heh, took you long enough.” Naruto snickered. Sasuke just stared back at him and then took a quick glance at Sakura. The blossom suddenly realized that it has been nearly 15 months ever since the whole team had gathered up to their training. She gazed at Naruto who had now grown much taller, his yellow hair had spiked up a lot more, and grew muscles. Kakashi hadn’t grown any taller but his hair too grew longer, his silver mane fell on the back and of course, there was Sasuke. He especially seemed to be much different than the others were. His voice was deeper, grew taller too, and his shirt either seemed smaller on him now or was was being filled with the grown muscles.

“Alright, good. Sasuke’s back and we should start immediately.” Kakashi cut in through her thoughts. They began with their usual exercises then practiced their balance and target by standing on logs along the near river while shooting at leaves with their shuriken. Naruto came first, he stood on a narrow that was floating on the running water, then Kakashi climbed a tree and began shaking off its leaves. Naruto did well by pinning down the leaves that fell straight to the trunk in front of it. However, after the 3 minutes, he lost his balance and fell multiple times on the icy-cold water. He surrendered after the 5th fall and climbed out on the bank looking quite blue. Sakura couldn’t help but chuckle a bit then began massaging Naruto’s palms and arms to relieve him of the cold. Sakura being a medic-nin did this quickly and easily.

“Okay, now that that’s settled-Sakura you’re up.” Kakashi pointed to the log and bounded up the tree. Sakura nodded and jumped right on the log and still maintained her balance. Sasuke jerked as she still made no move at all and was perfectly balanced on the thin wood. Last time he was here, she had fallen even before she got on the log.
‘Maybe, she really has improved. Lets see what she can do.’

“Ready?”

“Yeah!” Then the tree branches started trembling and leaves began falling. Without even moving her feet, Sakura pinned down about 10+ leaves with each shuriken and letting them stab the trunk. She caught every single one. Her hands were a blur as they just made striking gestures and loud *thump* were heard as the shuriken stuck to the tree. Ah but Naruto just had to butt in and started cheering.

“Wow! That’s awesome! Keep Going Sakura-chan!” Naruto was practically yelling at her which lost some of her focus and she began fidgeting her foot around to keep in balance. Sasuke noticed and was just about to bonk the blond on his head like he usually does but Sakura caught herself and remained unmoved.
‘Hm, well done.’ he hid a smile.

“Woah! You Go Gurl!”

Sasuke quickly turned to Naruto. Even if he had been gone for more than a year, he could never forget that Sakura absolutely HaTed being called ‘girl’ or any kind of form other than her name ‘Haruno Sakura.’ He held a slight smirk and shot at the helpless boy. ‘Oh yeah, you really did it this time brat.’

Kakashi didn’t exactly hear what the blond said and all he saw was a pink headed girl grabbing the collar of his annoying student. ‘What is it now?’

Then that’s when the pink headed girl stopped her throwing and glared at Naruto. She jumped off the log and pinned Him down to a tree rather than a leaf. Naruto looked bewildered and squirmed under her hold.

“Uh, heh. S-s-s-orry. I f-f-orgot.” Sakura kept on giving him the death glare and took her other free hand on his chest and began adding pressure. Naruto gasped for air and slowly turned blue again-then purple. Sakura released her hold and let the boy stumble down to the ground.

‘Ouch, never knew you were so aggressive.’ Sasuke thought.

Then she took the collar of his jacket again and stood him up against the tree and gave him a blow on the abdomen. With the way Sakura’s eyes flared and her fist tightened, Kakashi and Sasuke knew that was a hard punch.

“Sakura, calm down alright?” Kakashi held her arm and she released the unconscious boy.

The look in her eye disappeared and she sighed happily, “Whew, okay, yeah. That felt good.” She smiled brightly, a smile that never left Sasuke’s mind but missed so much. Now that he looked up at the pink headed girl, she was utterly beautiful: her hair had grown longer, she was leaner and had more muscles, not to mention that her breasts looked a bit bigger, and she had an incredible mature look to her. ‘Oh, how you’ve changed.’ Sasuke scanned her down and up but froze when he looked at her face which was staring abck at him. She had a somewhat blank face but her sweet smile didn’t disappear. Sasuke’s face flashed pink and he looked away. He heard her giggled quietly and stiffened. ‘Ugh, wtf is wrong with me.’ Then he felt a tap on his shoulder and he only stiffened even more and didn’t turn around to look. After like the 3rd tap, he received a slap on the back which startled him.

“What the fu-?” He stopped dead on his sentence as he looked up at Kakashi who only glowered at him with a blank eye.

“It’s your turn Uchiha.” The silver maned shinobi pointed to the log just as Sakura’s. Sasuke was completely quiet and dragged his feet to the edge of the bank. Naruto had awaken and cracked up, the dark haired boy gave him a quick glare and pounced on the bank. He, too, had perfect balance and didn’t move at all. The other two watched him target the leaves with great ease.

‘wow, I guess you have grown stronger while you were gone.’ Sakura said inside her head.

‘Ugh, show off!’ Naruto grumbled under his breath but Sakura heard it and gave him a cheesy smile. The blond returned a grin to her.

Then all of a sudden a fish was swimming upstream and jump right inside Sasuke’s shorts. The other two gasped and just stared as Sasuke’s shorts were moving. A horrified look bestowed the Uchiha’s face and tried jumping up and down to remove the fish but instead succeeded in falling in the water. The bitter cold of the water struck him at first but then he continued trying to take out the fish which only squirmed in his pants more. The feeling of the fish in his pants was awful but it couldn’t get any worse unless the fish….
The fish had then moved from inside his shorts to his boxers. This was when the Uchiha began running around the river bank with his legs shaking. He stopped and suddenly pulled down his panks and the front of his boxers, exposing very much of his crotch. Sakuar and Naruto were utterly silent and wide eyed and still. The fish flung out of his boxers and back into the water. Then the Uchiha gave a heavy sigh and realized, he still had his pants off and stumbled around to quickly fastne his shorts properly. Sasuke was burning red and couldn’t look at anything else but the ground. Kakashi watched the commotion and couldn’t help but laugh his head off. The stuck-up, ignorant, arrogant, dark haired boy had just been running around like a maniac and exposed his most private body part just to relieve himself of a fish within his underwear. My goodness how hard Kakashi laughed, so hard that he himself lost balance and came tumbling down the tree yet still managing to laugh. The other two turned their attention to Kakashi who had clutched his stomach from the pain of laughter, and joined in. Sasuke grew even more embarrassed which turned into humiliation which turned into anger which turned into him walking away just like the time he left.

He was cursing under his breath, “god damn fish…fuckin idiot…”

Then the three finally settled down and Sasuke was getting kina far.

“Ahaha, its about time the great Uchiha was humiliated!” Naruto stood up and brushed himself of the excess dirt.

“Naruto, c’mon now quit it. Sasuke has barely arrived-make him feel..at home kay?” She gave him a ‘try’ kina smile. Then they said bye to their sensei and caught up w/ Naruto.

“Hey there, Sasuke-butt! Ya know, now that your back-I’ll make you lunch how’s about that eh?” Naruto insisted with that cheesy grin of his.

“Well I don’t know…are you going to poison it and try to kill me..again?” Sasuke raised an eyebrow at him.

“Aaw, dammit.” he pouted but they still headed towards the blond’s estate.

Once they were inside, naruto ran straight to the kitchen and Sakura followed.

“What’s on the menu today, chef?” she elbowed him.

“Well…I know just how much Sasuke just looves my ramen cooking but I think I’ll go for some of that shrimp fried rice.” she laughed and they helped each other cook, all the while playing around. Sasuke just sat on the couch across from the kitchen and sharpened his kunai. He was getting distracted with their giggling and teasing jokes. ‘Ever since when have they become best friends?’ He took a glimpse at the happy scene that was going on in the kitchen. He couldn’t help but feel a scratch of jealousy for Naruto every time Sakura leaned in really close to him just to smell the scent of their cooking or when Naruto would drop a utensil and both would try picking it up and bump heads. ‘Ack. What am I thinking?’ Sasuke caught himself in the middle of his thoughts and tried ignoring them.

“Lunch is ready! Come on, Sasuke,” he didn’t know why but he just really liked how she said his name. ‘Hmph, its been so long..’ Then Naruto sat at one end while Sakura and sasuke sat at the opposite end. They enjoyed their meal, at least Haruno and the blond obviously were. Sasuke really liked what they had cooked up but didn’t have the right gut to say it.

However he gave them an , “Its alright.”

The other two knew that he meant more than what it sounded like and forgave the dark haired boy . While eating, Naruto began nudging Sakura’s leg and she nudged it back until they were playing the domination of footsies under the table. Sasuke cleared his throat loudly which put them to a halt and giggled quietly. It was as if Sasuke was their father or something reminding them to have their manners.

“Uh, can you pass me the salt Sakura?” saying her name was like a burden. She looked across the table and took the salt shaker but Naruto did too and their hands overlapped one another. Sasuke flinched a bit. Then Sakura flicked his hand away.

“Naruto…” one of her warning tones again.

“Okay, okay already.” Naruto rolled his eyes.

Sakura handed him the shaker and when he took it from her, their finger tips brushed each other slightly. The feel of her soft skin sent shivers up his back along with a flash of memory from that night when they had shared a kiss. But Sakura seemed fine and finished up her plate quickly. Naruto took about 4 helpings and this is why Sakura cooked the rice at large amounts. After the boys finished, Sakura began collecting their plates and was about to wash them when Sasuke insisted..

“uh-I’ll clean the dishes…” he said awkwardly. She was stunned! Thee Uchiha heir-washing Naruto’s dishes? My goodness, what really did happen to him while he was gone? She smiled at him and accompanied him in cleaning up.

“I’ll wash the dishes, you can dry them kay?” She didn’t even wait for a response, she went on ahead and skillfully scrubbed the plates, rinsed, then handed them to Sasuke. Naruto was wiping the table while he tried to catch up with all the plates sakura already rinsed. He had to quicken up his pace before the plates began to overflow in front of him. ‘damn, she must be doing this all her life.’ in his rush to dry the plates, one slipped from his hands and fell towards the floor. He braced himself for an ugly shatter but there was none. Sakura had caught it right before it hit the ground.

“Tsk, Tsk, tsk. Sasuke, why the rush? You obviously don’t know how to dry the dishes correctly.” she picked up one of the plates and showed him how to dry them. He was a bit embarrassed to be lectured about drying dishes rather than being told about his ninjutsus. He picked up another plate and tried to do what was instructed. Naruto then finished the table and chuckled at the sight of the onyx eyed boy being taught how to dry dishes. Sasuke ignored the idiot. He was frustrated now and crushed a plate with his grip letting the porcelain crumble to the floor.

“Okaaay? Well first thing is-you can’t go on crumbling them up into pieces like that.” she giggled and took his hand then guided it around the plate making it completely dry. Sasuke wasn’t comfortable at first but then grew to like her touch. “Oh see, its easier than training. Not that hard.” She looked up at him and was delighted to see a small smile curl at the corner of his lip. He was finally doing it right and not crumbling or dropping them on the floor. He looked up to meet Sakura’s eyes.

“What?”

“You should smile more often.”

Naruto cracked up from the room across them, “Haha, as if he’d ever smile! Well at least not evilly or threateningly. Besides, Sauke-dufus your going to wipe out all my plates! You’ve probably broken like 5 of them already. Be more carefully, it wouldn’t hurt ya know.” Naruto grabbed a broom and swiped away the porcelain crumbs to outside. He narrowed his eyes at Naruto and mumbled something.

‘You should smile more often.’ he thought. He smirked to himself, ‘sure. Only for you.’ -oh shit! Did he just ThiNk that? ‘wtf.’

“You alright there?” He looked at her and realized he had been muttering to himself.

“Yeah, course. Look, I gotta go.” he just really wanted to have some alone time right now.

“Yeah, I better get going too. “ she nodded and quickly finished the rest of the plates.

“Awh, leaving already?” Naruto whined.

“Yes, we’ll be going.” she gave him a ‘ugh, shut the whining’ kind of look. Then he gave her a kiss on the cheek. Sasuke froze. Then Sakura hugged him back. Sasuke stopped breathing. She pinched his cheek lightly and kissed that too. “Alright, bye blondy!”

‘wtf?’ sasuke kept saying over and over in his head.

Then they left Naruto’s apartment and headed out towards their own but shared a few streets giving them a moment to talk. Sasuke took a breath and advantage of this moment.

“Sakura?”

“Hn?”

“Are you and Naruto-?” she knew right away what he was going to ask and saved him the breath.

“No, we’ve just become really close that’s all. Ever since you left, Naruto’s always been here so I got to know him more…” she looked straight ahead at the sunset that beamed the sky orangish yellow, and chuckled softly.

Sasuke hid a sigh of relief but wasn’t sure why. She was still looking out towards the glorious sunset which shone over her miraculous emerald eyes, bathing her pink hair and turning it into a lovely rose color. He was struck by such beauty and there was that tangible feeling in his stomach again. Then they stopped walking right at the street where they were about to part. Sakura smiled at him and he was lost within her green orbs. She was going to wait for any response because she knew him all too well. She leaned closer to him and gave him a hug while he just froze on his spot.

“Sasuke, I’ve missed you a lot and Im sure Naruto too.” she let go of her but inside, he wanted more of her touch. The want overwhelmed him which made him take her hand and kiss it. Sakura blushed lightly and just smiled.

“I…” he couldn’t bring himself to say it, “I..didn’t forget about you and Naruto either..” he mentally punched himself for saying something so stupid like that but her smile just shone even brighter and she walked down the street to her left leaving him transfixed on that corner. He stared at her until she was a mere speck.

“I missed you too, Sakura-chan.” he whispered
