Love is what she called it.
The memory of him
His touch,
His praise,
His taking everything from her,
And saying it was proof,
Of her love and devotion to him.
The feeling of worth, as raw
As if it happened last night,
Not years before.
Seducing her blood
So savagely passionate
And the more satisfaction she craved,
The less she found.
It was a cruel slipknot,
That sent her begging,
Though she never found it.
She had flirted with insanity,
And he'd turned the pain
Into a sweet metal blade
That saved her soul,
And helped her to find
Beauty in her cravings.
Even though, she still
Sold herself for a moment
Of carnal pleasure,
Just to see his face before her.
So beautiful- an accusing angel,
Hard and uncaring
She could stop…
But…
It felt too good.
Then again, no one said
It would be easy,
With the pain she carried.
The hunger would always…
Always be there,
Like thorns on a rose.
She was twisted.
She was twisted and lost.
So he'd broken her,
And reshaped her,
Into a cold-hearted whore,
Always hunting,
Never finding.
Always wanting,
Never receiving.
With her sanity hung on a lie,
He would make her burn
Make her weep,
Then she'd awake,
Alone and used.
No longer cradled in arms,
Of forgiveness for her warped needs.
And she'd glory in the abandonment,
And deny herself everything else.
