Lost Dreams

Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters. I only own jade, nightmare and the shadow minions.

From now on i'm going to call Future Sakura F.Sakura and Future Yami F.Yami because it's

faster to type.

Chapter 13: Mixed Feelings

"So what do we do now?" Eriol asked as they walked the halls .

"Well first I have to get my cards, key and other of my stuff back. Before I was put in

this cell Nightmare had his gaurds take away all my gadgets. " F.Sakura answered .

"Can you locate which room they are kept in?" Spinel asked and Sakura nodded .

She concentrated then started running a chosen direction ,"Follow me and be on the lookout!"

The sky was blackish blue and looked like it was going to be storm. The breeze was very chilling

and sands and grass were blue and black. It seemed like the whole land was made out of those

two colors.

Sakura ran ahead of Yami . His jacket cape flapped in the cool breeze. Sakura was shivering in

her school uniform .

"It feels as if we're getting near an ocean, maybe we took a wrong turn somewhere." Sakura

infromed as they walked on.

They both stopped and looked behind then ahead of them. Then Yami pointed to the direction

they were heading," We won't know until we get there. It looks like a cliff and then a steep drop

from there."

Sakura sighed and they continued on their way .

"This is it!" F.Sakura pointed to a door. It looked like any ordinary door .F.Yami and Eriol

stepped up and opened the door.

When they looked inside they was F.Sakura's magical items on a table . It was odd for only a

table and noting else to be in

room . F.Sakura's cape, gloves with jewels on them and everything else a traveling or battling

sorceress would wear .She quickly put them on without hestitation .

"Well, what now again?" Spinel asked .

"Now you're trapped." They spun around to face none other then Nightmare in his black and

dark blue armour .

"What do you mean?" Eriol asked .

"Sure you found the magical item, but you won't get away that easily ." With that he snapped his

fingers and shadow minions appreared. They were also transported to a beach .It also wasn't

very sunny outside, but it looked like it was going to rain any second now.

"Oh no!"F. Sakura wailed," Not the Shadow Minions! I really hate them . They're nothing, but evil

shadow spirits ."

"Are they powerful?" Spinel asked.

"Very powerful. One isn't much to deal with, but when combined in big numbers nobody can stand

a chance." F.Yami explained and snarled," This will have to be a tough fight. Be on your best gaurd

and never lose hope , that's want you to do."

The shadow minions lept at them and a big battle began .

"I knew it! There is an ocean!" Sakura pointed to the roaring sea in front. Yami walked up to her.

They

were both standing on a cliff that was a long way drop into the ocean," It's magnificent!But it's dreary

and isn't as cheerful as the oceans back in the past."

Yami could see she was right." Even in Ancient Egypt the oceans and rivers were more cheerful

and not as gloomy as this ."

"You came from Ancient Egypt?! That's super cool!" Sakura exclaimed and Yami faintly blushed .

"Where do we go now?" Yami asked, but before they got a chance to think a huge explosion

caught their attention.

"What the?!" Sakura and Yami shouted . Sakura ran to the edge of the cliff and knelt down to look

over the crumbling edge.

"Be careful." Yami said .

"I will." Sakura answered as she looked way over the edge as a few more ground crumbled under

her.

"What do you see?" Yami asked as Sakura gasped .

"It's a battle and your future self and mine along with Eriol, Spinel, and Yugi are there. It seems as it's

a tough one . Eriol's magical aura is draining and........Ahhhhh!" Sakura screamed as the ground

under her gave way because of an energy ball that hit it . She started to fall .

"Sakura!" Yami yelled and grabbed her arms and he too fell .

Eriol and the others spun around when they heard the scream which sounded a lot like Sakura's.They

gasped when they looked up to see Sakura and Yami falling towards them . A few peices of

broken rocks and

other things that broke of the cliff fell towards them.

"Spinel! Catch them while I sheild the others!" Eriol quickly yelled out orders to his sun gaurdian .

Spinel flew up as fast as he could and caught Sakura and Yami on his back and then landed near

Yugi as Eriol cast a sheild spell .

All this was going on while F.Sakura and F.Yami were still trying to win against the shadow minions.

Sakura blinked then blinked again. She surely thought she had died, but when she heard the blasts

and felt Yami still holding her hand she knew she had survived somehow .

"Y-y-yami?" She asked as she opened her eyes and saw him still holding her hand and looking at her

with a serious expression on his face," I'm sorry."

"For what?" Yami asked surprised that she said that . 'Why is she saying sorry to me? I'm the one

who let her go on the edge of the cliff.'

"For scaring you like that and I'm sorry I get into so much trouble around this place. First falling into

the vortex then having my dream crystal stolen and then even losing my life energy ."Sakura looked

away from him . She was feeling ashamed of herself . Yami was to stunned by what she said. He

hadn't even thought about that. He only thought about her safety .

"It's not like that. I only think about your safety and I'm the one who should be sorry for letting you get into trouble. At least I could have done something to prevent something to stop it, but I never tried hard enough and you fell into deep trouble. I should be sorry for what I've done during the time I was pharaoh in ancient egypt . I only caused pain and never listened to anyone when they told me to stop playing the shadow games. I only thought about myself and I was always power thirsty ."

Yami said.

Sakura was shocked at what he said . They were learing a lot of surprising information about each other these past days .

"I'm sorry." Sakura said again, but this time it for something else .

"Don't be." Yami said back with a frown on his face," I told you enough already ."

"For what I said. I'm sorry I didn't really knew what you felt about this." Sakura said and Yami's expression softened .They didn't know it, but they were starting to glow a faint goldish color .

'If I I'm married in the future because Yugi's is my son, I just hope she's the one.' Yami thought .

Nightmare scowled at them," If they keep this up, they'll kill me for sure. Their love for each other is growing and their increase in power proves it."

Sakura and Yami stopped glowing not that anyone, but Nightmare noticed .

"I shall try a new plan for breaking them apart, but they say the more true couples face the stronger they'll be and I can't risk it." Nightmare was starting run out of ideas .

Sakura turned to run to Eriol when she sensed his power level getting very low.Eriol was having difficulty now and was leaning on his sun staff for support . F.Sakura and F.Yami were also beginning to get weak, but only beginning to .

Sakura helped Eriol stand and turned to Spinel who was protecting little Yugi . Yugi was starting to get scared Sakura could see that .

"Yami! Help me." Sakura called to him and he helped her support Eriol .

"Eriol please try to calm Yugi down. He's starting to seem frightened and I'm going to help our future selves in the fight ." Sakura told Eriol who just nodded, knowing best not to complain .He then leaned on Spinel for support and put a hand on Yugi's shoulder.

"Ready Yami? This isn't going to be easy." Sakura said as she turned towards the battle.

"Ready. I'm sure we'll make a great team ." Yami said and turned after Sakura .They looked at each other .

"Yeah we'll probably be the last ones standing ."Sakura said then giggled," Even when things look lost we still can have a little laugh."

Yami chuckled and then they both ran where the main battle was.

F.Sakura and F.Yami turned when they heard someone calling up to them . F.Sakura was currently fughting with a sword and F.Yami was using his shaow powers . They saw their past selves runnig up to help .

Sakura unleashed her wand and took out her cards and Yami's third eye glowed brightly .

"So you finally joined the party ." Nightmare said as he floated above ground now .

"Who's that?" Sakura asked .

"That's Nightmare, a rebel from the our kingdom. He plans to change the world into a lost dream land and wip out all hope." F.Sakura explained . Nightmare grinned sinisterly .

"Aren't you the smart one, your highness. "Nightmare said," So I see that your husband is too. Bringing the past brats into this."

"Husband? And who would that be? Sakura is married in the future?" Yami asked. Sakura blushed deep glow in the dark red because she knew who that was . F.Sakura and F.Yami also blushed .Yami didn't even notice .

"Well..uh.....it's....this is very ...." F.Sakura and Sakura stuttered at the same time while F.Yami gave a go-on-tell-him to them and Yami was trying catch what they were trying to say . They finally finished stuttering and Sakura said quietly,"It's you."

That took only a minute to register into Yami's mind until he shouted," What?!"

Sakura giggled nervously," Funny, isn't it? Sorry I didn't tell you before."

"Would all the attention come back to ME?!!" They looked up to a very angry Nightmare . When everybody was looking at him he started talking again.

"Now, Shadow minions get them!" He shouted and the shadow minions who were sneaking on them since the confession lept unto F.Sakura and Sakura who were then lifted into the air .

The shadow minions along with Sakura and F.Sakura hostage retreated behind Nightmare . Nightmare floated back to the ground with a smirk on his face .

"Surrender or else." He pointed towards a shadow minion who held a dagger to Sakura's throat ," If I kill her, I simply destroy the other as well."

F.Yami and Yami growled in frusteration while Yugi watched terrified with a weak Eriol . Spinel snarled and crouched down like ready to jump on it's oppenent .
