Chapter 2

"Sakura's Decision"

The school bell rang. Sakura and Tomoyo groaned and sat down next to each other.

Mr. Hizuki: Hello class. Today we'll be learning about the exciting world of Calculus.

The class groaned.

As he wrote numbers on the board, Tomoyo wrote Sakura a note and passed it to her. Sakura opened the note. It said: Did you tell him?

Sakura sighed and wrote: No. I'll tell you later.

She passed the note to Tomoyo and waited for her reaction. Tomoyo gasped.

Tomoyo: What the hell does that mean?! You better tell me now!!!

The teacher and the whole class looked at Tomoyo. Syaoran gave Sakura and Tomoyo a curious look.

Tomoyo sank in her chair.

Mr. Hizuki: I'll see you two after class.

The whole class smiled at them.

Sakura: Ah, great.

One hour later, everyone looked at the clock.

Kid: It's time to go Mr. Hizuki.

Mr. Hizuki: Oh okay, see you all later.

Everyone left except for Sakura and Tomoyo. Syaoran listened carefully outside the door.

Mr. Hizuki: Why don't you tell me your interesting story?

Sakura: I'm really sorry. Tomoyo was surprised when I said-

Tomoyo: That his dad was dating my mom!

Sakura looked at her with curiosity.

Tomoyo: I'm still shocked.

Mr. Hizuki: Normally, I would give you both detentions but the doctor about your… condition, Sakura.

Sakura nodded.

Syaoran gave a confused look. Then he smiled.

Mr. Hizuki: You better head off to your next class.

Sakura: Bye.

Tomoyo: I'm really sorry.

They both walked out of the classroom.
Syaoran looked at them and hid behind a wall right behind them.

Tomoyo: Spill it Sakura.

Sakura: Tomoyo, can I trust you with a secret?

Tomoyo: What?

Sakura: I think I know who the father of the baby!

Syaoran's eyes widened.

Tomoyo: Who?

Sakura: You know Sacra's party last month?

Tomoyo: Yeah.

Sakura: Well-

Syaoran: Well what?

Sakura and Tomoyo looked at him. Sakura's heart sank.

Tears were in his eyes.

Syaoran: How could you?

Sakura: Syaoran-

Syaoran: You're the only reason why I stayed here!

He ran out of the school.

Tomoyo: Sakura, I'm so sorry.

Sakura looked at the running Syaoran.

Sakura: Yeah…

Two Days Later…

Sakura knocked on Syaoran's apartment door.

Syaoran opened it.

Syaoran: What do you want?

Sakura: Look, I'm sorry.

Syaoran: You're sorry? You're sorry?

Sakura: Yes. I am.

Syaoran: Do you think I care if you're sorry?

Sakura: Look, I was probably drunk at Jaisi's party and-

Syaoran: I DON'T CARE! You lied to me.

Sakura: I tried to tell you, but you were so happy.

Syaoran frowned.

Sakura: So, are you leaving for China?

Syaoran: Yeah.

He turned to his room.

Syaoran: Have a nice life Sakura.

He closed the door.

Sakura: SYAORAN! PLEASE, JUST LISTEN!!

Syaoran looked down and headed for his boxes.

Sakura banged on the door. There was no answer.

Sakura: If you change your mind, I'll be in New York.

She left the building and headed home. When she passed an ice cream store, Tomoyo caught up with her and gave a huge smile.

Tomoyo: What's wrong?

Sakura: I went to see Syaoran.

Tomoyo smile faded.

Tomoyo: Didn't go so well, huh?

Sakura nodded.

Tomoyo: Not to change the subject, but who do you think is the father?

Sakura: I really don't care anymore.

Tomoyo: Huh? You should.

Sakura: Why?

Tomoyo: If you're going to have this baby, you should find out.

Sakura: Who said I was going to have the baby?

Tomoyo: Don't tell me…

Sakura looked at her with a frown.

Sakura: Of course I'm going to have it.

Tomoyo sighed.

Tomoyo: So we're going to New York?

Sakura: YES!!
Tomoyo smiled and jumped up. Nearby, two figures stared at them. One was Zephyr.

Zephyr: At last, she took the bait.

Voice: Are you sure she'll fall for the plan?

Zephyr grinned.

Zephyr: Only time will tell… my old friend.

Meanwhile…

Yugi sighed and sat down. He turned on the TV.

Joey: Hey Yugi. Why are you so tired?

Yugi: I'm just excited.

Joey: You're still excited about winning the Rose Tournament?

Yugi: No, well, you see, that win got me two tickets to New York.

Joey: You mean, New York, as in America.

Yugi: Yes. There is going to be tournament there for all Rose Tournament winners around the world. Would you like to come?

Joey: Yeah!

Yugi: Great…
