Ch.16

Crowned

 

*^_^*Alrighty just a few things for this chappy. Its dishonorable to ask someone else's date to dance with out permission from the other. And when they get photos, they get one couple one and three of any pose they want…its more fun that way. Read on. *^_^*

 

*: They arrived at the prom and headed in. It wasn't long before someone said something. Kye walked up to them.*

 

Kye: Hay Kurama how ya been?

Kurama: Good Kye.

Kye: Woaw, your dating Layla?

 

*Gets glare from Layla*.

 

Kurama: Yeah, I thought Id try to tame the beast.

 

*Layla stepped on his foot hard and gave a fake smile. Kurama flinched a bit but kept a straight face.*

 

Layla: Tam the beast huh. *eye twitched*

Kurama: *nervous little laugh* well, uh, um, ok picture time. Lets go.

 

*Before she could say anything he grabbed her and ran over to the picture line. As the Camera man asked who was next, Kurama pulled her forward. The man held the camera in position. She excepted that there was no escape now and just smiled with her hands in Kuramas. *SNAP, SNAP* Layla pulling one of Kuramas bangs down with an evil face. *SNAP* Kurama and Layla with there arm over each others shoulder and a big smile and victory fingers. *SNAP* Kurama giving a peck to a surprised blushing cheek. *SNAP* the camera man just smiled at them and told them they'd receive there pics at graduation. After that they went out in the crowd and danced. Kurama couldn't help but watch her as her body moved to the beat. And he couldn't help but think he was a good dancer. Then the music switched to a slow song, and Layla looked up as the lights dimmed down. She then felt Kuramas hands softly slide around her waist. She looked at him and blushed. He took her hands and placed them on his shoulders then rewrapped his arms around her waist. He pulled her in close to almost touching. She blushed, but then shook it off and gave him the look.*

 

Layla: Either your getting to comfy, or you're a really good actor.

 

*: He noticed that he was getting to close and blushed. Just then they both saw Lee and Winry together.*

 

Kurama: Crap, there here.

Layla: Bet where making them jealous.

Kurama: Not yet.

 

*: She was about to ask him what he meant but before she could his lips locked with hers. She was shocked at this at first, but thought this was to make them jealous. So she returned the kiss. Lee and Winry just stuck up there noses and stormed off. Layla noticed they left and broke the kiss. Again Kurama was disappointed that it ended so soon. Layla stared in the direction of the two foes. The song ended, but they danced more later and talked with friends. Then finally a voice came over the speaker to get every ones attention. It was Kaitou (the one that has the taboo powers). Every one got silent.*

 

Kaitou: Ok everyone. Its now time to crown the King and Queen of this years prom!

 

*Every one cheered.*

 

Kaitou: The envelope please…And our King and Queen is…Kurama Minamino and Layla Awayuki!

 

*: Lots of people cheered. Kurama wasn't to surprised about himself being king, but the two were both shocked that Layla made Queen. They both came up and Kaitou crowned the two, which Layla thought the crown looked funny on Kuramas head.*

 

Kaitou: Congratulations Kurama. See you tomorrow at graduation.

 

*: Kurama nodded and Kaitou left the stage. The two went out to the floor and the music for the last dance started. Layla was a bit tired so she laid her head on Kuramas shoulder as they swayed softly to the song. Kurama just enjoyed the scent of Layla in his arms for the remainder of the song. The song ended and every one started to leave. ! They arrived at Layla's house and Kurama walked her to the door.*

 

Layla: Well… I had fun tonight.

Kurama: …Me to.

Layla: Well I guess Ill see you at graduation tomorrow.

Kurama: I'm surprised they let you pass.

 

*Moment shattered*

 

Layla: What!

Kurama: Just kidding.

 

*Just when she was about to turn he put his arms around her waist and kissed her. She was shocked but didn't fight him. She just melted into it and couldn't tell that there bodies were pressed against each other. He ran his fingers up her spin the back of her neck. She thought is felt so nice and it made her body tingle. But then she snapped out of it and once again broke the kiss. She backed up and blushed*

 

Layla: Hay remembers you don't have to act. No ones here.

Kurama: Oh yeah…Sorry bout that…see ya tomorrow.

Layla: Sure, good night.

Kurama: Good night.

 

*: The door then shut and Kurama sighed happily and went home. ! Layla laid in her bed and touched her lips. She blushed a bit, but then shook her head.*

 

Layla: Damn Kurama…..Animal.

 

*: She rolled over and went to sleep. But the only picture she saw in her head all night was her and Kurama in there photo. ! Kurama laid in his bed. He gently touched his lips….and then he smiled.*

 

*^_^*Aw such a cute and romantic chappy. It reminds me of my proms. Oh how I really miss slow dances at those things. Typing this chappy with that dance scene in it made me wana cry, because there is no more dances for me. *Sigh* oh well. Memories are memories, and that's all they are. Next chappy is graduation, and Kurama finds out Layla might be leaving. What will he do? Then the parents of the two celebrate there graduation. It all happens next time. So keep on reading! *^_^*
