| Featured Reason: I was pleasantly surprised to find a very nicely written work here, and I very much enjoyed it. The overall style and flow of the story are well-done. The characters are marvelously portrayed and are very in character, and I think the situation is very fitting for filling in a tiny little gap that Kubo Tite left in the manga/anime. I thought this piece contained some great insights into a few of the lesser-explored characters (like Mayuri, Kenpachi, and Ishida) as well. |

| Featured Reason: The single best Sess/Kag fic, if not Inu-Yasha fanfic that I've ever read. Resmiranda's characterization of Sess is stand-out though, IMO. I have never read him portrayed in such a compelling, fleshed out manner. For those skeptical since it is technically a Sess/Kag romance, not to worry. It's mostly platonic until like...chapter 30ish. And she's still not done.... This is the author that other authors who even ATTEMPT this pairing need to live up to. |

| Featured Reason: It's an interesting examination of what would happen if a truly female Ranma encountered the canon version. I really love this continuation crossover. While it isn't as charming as the first story, it is really sweet in its own right. The spelling and Grammar are excellent. |
Equal Halves [P] by: Deborah_Goldsmith Anime/Manga: Ranma 1/2 Genre(s): a:1:{i:7;s:5:"drama";} | Type: Continuation Latest Revision: October 21, 2001 20:25 CDT | Pages: 120 | Size: 423Kb | Visits: 1856 Review(s): 5 Reviews

| Featured Reason: The piece is definitely full of action and at times, it draws you well into the story. It has a better AU storyline than most AU's I've read, and she does a good job drawing parallels to the canon plot, which is always a plus in my book. She also does really well with the more minor characters. She brings in many of the characters you don't always see in fanfiction and makes them both meaningful characters and plot enhancing characters. The storyline is easy to follow, and it's engaging enough to draw the reader into the story most of the time. |

| Featured Reason: This really is a truly amazing crossover, almost better described as a partnership between two distinct animes. The author has woven a compelling and emotional story while keeping the history and personality of the two animes intact. The characters are all wonderfully "in" character, and they play off each other dynamically! The story itself is riveting! The tale is unique, and the drama and angst leave the reader breathlessly waiting for the next installment. Beyond that, the main original character is provocative, and deeply scarred with her own history. She shines as an example of superb writing!! |
Gotta Knock a Little Harder [Y] by: Heathenesque Anime/Manga: Cowboy Bebop / Fullmetal Alchemist Genre(s): Drama / Sci-fi | Type: Crossover Latest Revision: May 11, 2007 10:22 CDT | Pages: 182 | Size: 977Kb | Visits: 10250 Summary: ((UPDATED RATINGS))Spike and Jet are headed back to mars when they get a bounty dropped in their laps. | Featured Reason: This is a complete story in 22 short chapters, that takes place after "Real Folk Blues". It's very tightly woven story that will grab you by the throat from the start, and it won't let go until you reach the end. Not a single word is wasted, not a single action is wasted, the tension mounts, and it's easy to follow (No confusing tense usage, and POV remains steady throughout each scene). It's a [T] rated story, and the worst thing you might come across, would be some harsh language. |
Play Me Some More of that Old Blues [T] by: dragonnan Anime/Manga: Cowboy Bebop Genre(s): Adventure / Drama / Angst | Type: Continuation Latest Revision: October 05, 2005 22:14 CDT | Pages: 93 | Size: 494Kb | Visits: 5028 Summary: Sometimes, fate dictates the course of our lives... and deaths. | Featured Reason: A great little action vignette that sets up the events in "Raditz's Return." Well written and humorous -- it is one of the best little gems out there. |

| Featured Reason: "She never realized how much she depended on that subduing spell--that one, insignificant little word...until it was suddenly, inadvertantly, taken away from her..." It's written as if it were an episode of the series, it starts on a climax and ends...well you will have to read that. The story flows, is interesting, and it gets into the characters well. You get sucked into the story and don't realize how much time has passed until you look at the clock hours later. |

Featured Reason: Admittedly, I'm a fan of crossovers, as long as they're well done. And while I haven't read the HP books, I have enough friends that have to pound the characters' behavior in my head.
Other than few, counted OOC moments (which don't take away from the flow,) this fic keeps all the characters in character... And doesn't give away who the mysterious woman is, unless you know the universe she's from. |
