Great chapter. Battle scenes are not my favorites to read, but you did a really good job keeping this interesting. Kagome did indeed carry an awful burden. And now that she may have succeeded in carrying out what Misery asks of her....oh, boy. The fallout is going to be something else, because even if Misery is dead (or hopefully just incapacitated), they still have to deal with Cernnonus himself. I can't wait to see what happens next.

after a quiet start, the intensity of the ending of this chapter was great. the others called out on a false slarm, the jewel missing and misery captured! the anticipation over the next chapter has started, already. this was a masterful way to capture everyone's attention. thank you for a great chapter.

How I missed this fic before, I have no idea, but it is very original, exciting, and kept me on the edge of my seat while reading it. The first few chapters were sad with the death of Kagome's family and her trying to protect the jewel alone. I love Misery, and want to severally harm Cernonnus for what he's done/is doing to her. Also, I'm glad you brought Inuyasha's puppy ears back. He just doesn't seem complete without them. And now that the final battle is starting, I can't wait to see what will happen. -Kate

Loved the fluffiness the bros got to enjoy. Glag the inuyoukai and the angel finally made things 'official' and stopped skirting their feelings. The beach scene was an enjoyable added touch of fluff. Cernonnus has deffinately gone too far this time. Steeling the angel and the jewel it the same day, is down right criminal. Hope Sesshy rips him a new one! Don't keep us in suspence too long girl! *grinning*

Good chapter. I realy hope that there is some way to save Misery, now that Cernnonus has gotten to her. Sesshoumaru's life will be hell if they don't. I'll definitely be looking for the update.

This was an emotional chappie! I feel bad for the girls. I hope Kags plan will work for the final battle for Missy and Sess's sake if nothing else. i understand that the battle was downplayed in order to bring intensity to the emotions shared between kagome and misery, but i think it would have been good to have written a little of it. i do think you did well with bringing the coming conflict between the two girls to light. how heavy it must be in both their minds, now. misery knowing that she will be used as a tool for mankinds destruction, and kagome knowing that she is expected to end the life of one of her closest friends. i'm just glad that inuyasha gets to have his ears back. thank you for a great chapter

Very nice. Kagome's got such a big heart, even though she has to harden it to protect the ones she loves now. But now InuYasha isn't the only one keeping secrets... even though Kagome's sworn for it to be between them, he won't be pleased to know that she's learning to kill Misery... I bet he'll be surprised when Kagome is willing to stay behind, though, while the others go on missions.

Good chapter. Misery's fate is so.....miserable (I just couldn't think of anything else, sorry, lol.) But, I sure hope that there is some way to save her from what she envisions. Now that Kagome is aware of it, there has to be a way. And I'm quite sure that Sesshoumaru won't stand idly by and allow his mate to be taken either. But it's a mess, no doubt about it. On a lighter note, I'm so glad that Inuyasha can still have his puppy ears! That is just so much a part of him that it seems weird to imagine him without them. I have mixed feelings about his losing his humanity as well. I've always thought that his becoming a full youkai kind of defeats the whole principle that there is nothing wrong with being hanyou. It doesn't make you weak, just different. But, we'll see how it all turns out. I like this story too much to quit reading now!
