Yay, new chapter! I'm still very much enjoying your alternate retelling of Inuyasha, and this story arc, with the Band of Seven (one of the most compelling arcs in the anime series), is really punchy. Mukotsu--serious, seriously creepy, and I like the grittier, nastier interpretation of the Seven's characters. Great job, as always, Fenik-chan!

GO, Mama Higurashi! I think thisis my favorite "wrinkle" yet. Gitamaru is adorable...love that he didn't tell her how he got to know her when they met in the present for the first time....

F-I-N-A-L-L-Y!!! Talk about a tease! LOVE Yash reliving the whole thing from the roof. If I was a visual artist, I would draw that one for sure.

...that we are finally getting to it. I've been beside myself with anticipation all morning. Frustration aside, this is probably the finest AU and one of the best fan fictions I've had the pleasure of, um, coming across. I look forward to much happy reading.

Oooookay, finally finished it! I loved the fortress arc, honestly, not enough people focus on the dynamics of the Inu-no-Taisho and his court, that was fun. I also like the little sideplot with Sota you've got going on, it's interesting and kinda sad how Kagome realizes she's missing her brother's childhood. I love Gitoumaru (sp?), he seems fun. And Fenik, I love his character, he's so fun, like Inuyasha with a better sense of humor. I also like the gradual evolution from Inuyasha to Yashita, and the continuing problems with the two of them. And the whole deal with Kagome worrying about her fate...it's true, no one knows how the battle ends, so she, and the rest of the gang, are reaching the limits of what they know of the future. I'd imagine it sucks :p. Anyway, awesome story, the only flaw I find in it is that it isn't finished. BTW, I hate advertising in my reviews, but if you have time, would you mind looking at a few of my fics and maybe reviewing? I'm always looking for new feedback. Anyway, awesome story, I'll eagerly await the next update. Drake.

I am the worst reviewer ever! I had just finished re-reading the entire story when you put up a new chapter. Your timing couldn't have been better. Then I never got a chance to sit down and review. Then anther chapter came out. Still no review. Forgive this unworthy speck for not laving you with the praise and respect you deserve for the past two (TWO!!) chapters! The only punishment I could think of is to be banished from this story until it is complete but let's not go overboard here. You wouldn't want me to die from Literary Divestment (Like it? I just made it up. No one steal it!)Seeing as I have dumbly screwed up any real chance of commenting on the last two chapters I will keep the rest brief, well as brief as I can be. I like what you are doing with Sota. Having her realize that she has missed so much of his maturing was the beginging of her wake up call. Plus, who wasn't proud of that punch? I could see it in my mind perfectly. Re-read it a few times too. I thought the whole academy sparing session was nice. Kinda shows that she is a born teacher. Wonder what that means for later. I kind of understand Kagome's outlook about her not coming back but she has yet to look at the fact that even if she were to pull herself and Naraku into the jewel, the jewel will still be there. The Shikon has always had a protector when it was in this world. She can't die and leave the jewel unprotected. That's the way it works. Without the balance of a protector it will start all over again but this time there will be no one to fight for good. If you can't purify it then it is to dangerous to have around decent people. And I must once again congradulate you. You have single handily produce a character more well loved than Inuyasha. Though Yashita and he are the same person they are not the same. I bet if you recheck your reviews Yashita will get the most support. So how does it feel to take things a step further than the actual icon himself? I always wondered why he had never shown her his-...their house. Now I know. It had bugged me for some time. Nice job on the setting. And those torture practices Sess is putting Kagome through, it might sound evil but I laughed, hard. I still snicker at the way Kagome went on about her not embarassing his house. (Will Kagome ever find out it was Kirara who gave Sesshomaru the idea for it?) Still doesn't come close to the laughing I did when she gave him those rings. I wanted to talk about the lastest news about Koga but alas I don't have the space to go into it. But then I've always been giddy for the rivaly between the two. Despite what you hear I like Koga. The way you made the packs combine was sort of crunching Koga's freedom of decision but I think it was still a nice touch. Since he was able choose before but he didn't. The storyline is still marvelous. One day I'm going to convience someone to make this a movie. I'm sure after reading it Takahashi wouldn't mind waving a few rights after she reads this. To tell the truth I was wondering how you were going to make up for a few time gap adventures they missed when you wrote the detour (I loved the side chapters though). I have to hand it to you this might just work. The tweaking you have done to the timeline and the character positions you will be able to have your big battle but something is bothering me. if she fell through the well mortally wounded then last battle has to be at home. So what happened to make the "enemy" come so close into territory that should still be heavily guarded? You're going to tell me to wait and see aren't you? I must thank you for two things. First that you have Inuyasha still playing on the fact that he almost watched her die. Any true love would still be thinking about it reguardless of life/death situations being a daily occurance. And I see that the kinks you had about the "Seven" is all cleared up. I really did want to see what you did with them. You've done wonderful twist with everyone else why not them too?

Wow, it took me forever to read that whole thing, and holy hell, is it ever a story! In some ways, I think I actually like your version better than canon. =D I enjoy Kagome's ass-kicking persona, and Fenik is my favorite original character ever. EVER. His interactions with 'Riko' and 'Nixie' are excellent comic relief, and sometimes I get warm fuzzies from 'em to boot! I also have been really loving your characterization of Inuyasha--the differences in his persona are believable as a result of the differences in your plot from canon. He's still a rude hanyou, but he's a rude hanyou with a wife and a pack who love him, and it makes all the difference. Kudos to you for resolving the Kikyo situation early! It's nice to not have that hanging over our heroes' heads in a fic sometimes! I've been suffering with Kagome as she deals with her mate on both ends of time--I nearly cried myself during her last day with Yashita. Ugh, I can't imagine that you'd end this unhappily, but if you do, I imagine I'll be depressed for days. I hope you update soon--would your bunnies appreciate some carrots, or are they maybe cookie-favoring bunnies? =D

Ooooookay, I've spent three days reading this and I'm at chapter 31. And I ain't gonna wait until then to review soo.....here I am. Gonna be honest, first time I heard about this story, I checked it out and didn't like it. I thought it was just sui-fying Kagome and retelling the manga with her. Sadly, suification is something I've seen before and I hate it. But, I decided a week or so ago to give this another look. And it's not quite what I expected. I actually like the new Kagome. The actual one is a spitfire too, but she becomes so weak and helpless at an instant in the early stages of the anime it's annoying, especially considering how she acts later on. Some of the aspects you've added I have trouble picturing, particularly her battle armor, largely because I prefer the school uniform, but then, I'm a guy, so big wonder why that is :p. The pet names are kinda weird, but hey, your story, not mine. And I like how you only retell choice parts of the canon and work the rest of the story as original. And my favorite part of the story is the new Inu/Kag relationship. Because GOD they move slow in the anime and manga! 500+ chapters and not a single kiss, dear god, save me from the thickheaded teenagers! Considering the most we get from the canon is a handful of hugs, the flirting is a nice touch. The entire ordeal with her having to handle the affections of Inuyasha's past and future selves and well portrayed and very understandable, because they're the same person, but they're not the same person, and her handling of the situation overall is well written and believable.... Overall, the story isn't as bad as I originally thought it might be. Don't mean that as an insult, honestly. I thought it was bad before, but I took a second look and I rather like it. I'll review again once I finish the whole thing, which will likely be next weekend at this rate. Chow. Drake.

Dang, Feni, I just spent 1 22 hour period on a reading marathon followed up by another 12 hours reading this massive piece...knocked my sox off. Always liked sentient swords. I bet Fenik could beat Stormbringer any day. I am duly and truly impressed with your audacity. I love this Kagome...I love the perpetual little boy lost side of InuYasha. You are getting to my favorite part of the manga. Wondering how your wickedly devious mind will spin all of it in the end...

The excitement just never stops, even in a bridge chapter. Incredible! I'm getting a little panicky over what next chapter might have in store. I keep wondering about the possible effects Mukotsu's poison may have on a certain something (if I interpreted last chapter correctly). Hell, you might not even go that route. You've dropped the greatest little curiousity arousing hints throughout this entire fic and go back to answer the questions in great and unexpected ways. Geez, it's driving me nuts trying to figure out where you're gonna go next, even if I have a general idea from the manga & anime. You have some killer monkey wrenches you throw in there. Wonder when she takes the rosary off. OH NO! Okibi is gone! You really are gonna be the death of me. How embarrassing! It couldn't be a really cool way, like skydiving or something - noooo... death at the hands of a fanfic writer's overactive imagination. Honestly, though, this really is a wonderful story.

i haven't read it yet but i'll post another after i have but first I just need to thank you for putting this up right now, you just happened to update in a time where i really needed more of this story, I have been sick for almost two weeks and I just had to go to a funeral. I know you don't really care especially since this is all coincidental but i'd still like to thank you for saving what's left of my sanity.

Awesome! I can see that Koga is finally beginning to see the light concerning Ayame. The Band of Seven was one of my favorite arcs of the anime, and the setup you have going is not disappointing. Jakotsu (and Bankotsu*sigh*) are my favorites, and you hit Jakotsu dead on. Marvelous. But, poor Okibe! Poor anonymous guardsmen! Why did they have to die!(just being dramatic, not questioning such a wonderful author. But Okibe will be missed.) Can't wait until next update!
