Kagome began her task as a queen by checking out the status of the realm's food production.

She was quite surprise that none of the youkais slay each other for food, just like what the elders

tell them in the human realm

 

<i>'Liars' she thought

Sango entred the study room and bowed. Kagome placed down the scrolls and gestured for Sango to speak

"A neko youkai minister wants to talk to you, Kagome-sama"

"Alright let the guest in"

 

Kagome looked up at and saw a tiny neko youkai. She quirked a brow and motioned for her to sit.

"Young one, what do you need?" Kagome asked in a motherly voice

"Kagome-sama for your information I'm not young, my size is just like this"

Kagome admitted to herself that she is really shock, but she didn't show any signs, she kept her stony expression.

"Neko-"

"Kirara is my name, I'm a the in charge of the king's woman sector, but now that you are here, I will transferred

to the science sector"

"Gomen"

Kirara laughed the queen is such a an awesome woman, how lucky the Lord is.

"You don't have to apologize, I came here to talk about an issue"

"What kind of issue is that?

 

InuYasha sat on his desk trying to concentrate on what he is doing. Too bad his mind kept

on repeating what minister Myouga had said.

"Jaken!" InuYasha called out

"Hai your highness" he stuttered

"Give me my cloak I'm going out tonight, do not tell anybody or else I'll hung your head outside"

"Hai.."

 

 

Kagome was walking along the corridors to contemplate about what Kirara had said that morning.

She wanted to execute Lady Kikyo for having an affair with the Lord. Since she also violated the golden rule

of the mikos. But just like what she promised she will not include herself in the issues that the king and this kikyo

are involve and only three... wait how did Kirara know?

 

"You are thinking about what Kirara told you, eh?"

Kagome nodded as she faced Sango

"Sango you are my best friend, now it's time for me to ask should I-"

"I am in no position Kagome, but what I could tell you is that you should make things right

or your future children will suffer"

"What makes you say that"

"An heir is expected Kagome"

"I will bear him no heir, I am here because I was told too"

"But you committed"

"Sango, please. Let's not talk about this right now"

Sango nodded as they continued to walk. But Kagome stopped in her tracks when she saw the king with Jaken

riding a horse.

"What are they up to?" Sango asked

"I still don't know" Kagome replied

"Should I call one of the guards and let him follow the king"

"No" Kagome replied instantly her voice firm

"But-"

"Sango follow my orders"

"Sorry"

Kagome sighed deeply as she proceeded to her room. She has a feeling that InuYasha will go to Kikyo tonight.

'Don't expect him to come to you Kagome, he loves somebody else and it's one fact that you should accept'

 

Kikyo is in the gazebo of the temples grounds. All the other priestess' retired to their beds. It's only her who is

staying awake in the dead of the night. Hoping that he would come and remember is the day to comemorate their first meeting.

Kami answered her prayers, a silver hair draped around her shoulders. When she turned her back she was immediately greeted by his lips.

"InuYasha" she moaned

"Did you miss me?" he huskily asked

"You bet" Kikyo replied

"How about this" InuYasha untied Kikyo's obi

"I miss this, my love"

 

The sun has shine and Kagome is fixing her hair with Sango's assistance of course. She never trusted anybody except her best friend

and handmaid.

"Milady" a kitsune servant called out panting

"Have your manners" Sango reprimanded

"Gomen nasai Lady Sango"

“Is something wrong?"

"There are youkais rioting around the palace, some have entered your premises, your highness"

"Kagome! What should we do"

Kagome thought for awhile and stood up followed by Sango.

 

When Kagome arrived the crowd faced her with pity and anger in their eyes. The inu-youkai soldiers bowed to Kagome as she continued to approach the crowd. Kagome raised her hand to quiet the crowd.

"Why have you come here?" Kagome asked in the stony voice she could give, but deep inside she is trembling

never in her existence she encountered this kind of problem

"Is it true that the king is having an affair with the great priestess?"

"Does he have self respect?!" an angry ookami youkai added

Kagome closed her eyes and when she opened them it was filled with anger. She is ought to protect the king's name, not because

she love him but purely because she is his queen. Without warning Kagome grabbed one of the guard's sword and placed it on top of

her pulse.

"The one who believes the rumours will step right here and witness my death"

Everyone was taken aback, the crowd, the guards, and most especially Sango.

 

InuYasha just got out from the temple and was fixing his clothing. When a sweaty and nervous Jaken arrived.

"Jaken what's wrong?" InuYasha smiled

Jaken could have been glad to see the king smile but he couldn't manage to do so

"What's wrong?"

"The queen is in great danger milord"

At the mention of the word queen, InuYasha raised for his horse and rode back to the palace

with full speed.

 

Kagome stood there for awhile waiting for anybody to react, but there was none. She was about to release the sword when an ookami youkai stepped forward and bad mouthed her. Kagome is a woman who is true to her words. Without any hesitation she struck her pulse with the sword, as Kagome's sorrounding began to spin around her. It was also the time when InuYasha arrived and witness the horrofying scene. As Kagome began fell onto the ground. InuYasha raced towards her and craddled

her in his arms.

 

He glared at the youkai and began to punch him senselessly, his eyes bloodshot.

Sango called the doctor and helped the servants in bringing Kagome inside her room.

 

InuYasha looked down and saw Kagome's blood. He felt remorse; he followed the doctor, silently praying that his queen would be alright.

"The queen would be fine but for now she needs to rest"

"Thank you" the doctor bowed and left. Now it is InuYasha and Kagome alone. He caressed her cheek and realized how soft it is.

 

<i>'I'm sorry I placed you into this problem'</i>

InuYasha sighed and began to look around her room. Everything is very colourless, which made him conclude that his queen is a lonely woman, the reason? he doesn't know. He was about to turn when an open book caught his sensitive eyes.

It read:

for my beloved Kagome,

 

When the gods gave you to me

I can't help but to be happy

When you cry it saddened me

When you laugh it makes me bright

All I want you to know that you are

my one and only

 

InuYasha frowned, he began to wonder why the poem wasn't continued, but anyway he left it there and went out.

 

InuYasha sat infront of Myouga who have this stern look in his face.

"Now mi'lord have you realize the consequences of your actions?" Myouga asked

InuYasha nodded as he focused his gaze on the table

"You are indeed lucky to have her as your queen, if she was another woman she could've execute Kikyo upon knowing

your relationship with her"

"Could she still accept my proposal?"

"The queen is not a one sided woman milord she will understand"

"I hope she will"

 

 

The next morning Kagome woke up as if nothing happened. She looked around and saw Sango

sleeping in the corner. Her friend is indeed concern.

"Sango.." Kagome rasped

"Milady are you fine?" Sango asked with worry

"I am..."

"The Lord is waiting outside"

"He is?"

"Yeah he is"

"Please let him in" Kagome said as Sango helped her sit up first

Sango bowed and went out to call the king.

 

Minutes later InuYasha entered motioning for Kagome to remain in her sit.

"You must be curious on why you healed so fast"

Kagome nodded

"I told the doctor to put my blood onto your medicine"

"Arigato"

"I should be the on thanking you, after-"

"I will do everything to cover your relationship with her your highness, as long as I can"

"Walls have ears Kagome"

 

It was the first time that InuYasha called her by her name, this somehow made Kagome's stomach to turn.

"What do you mean your highness?" Kagome asked still not sensing what he meant

"I will end my relationship with Kikyo, for you and this realm"

"Milord I'm willing to-"

"No Kagome, as the alpha I would like you to obey me"

"But I'm-"

InuYasha laughed, his queen is mysterious yet innocent "Milady, I will not take you as my mate, not yet"

Kagome raised a brow

InuYasha noticed this and immediately answered "Courtship first milady"

"Are you serious?" Kagome asked her stony voice waving away

"Deadly serious"

"But when-"

InuYasha stood up and went eye to eye contact with Kagome.

"TOday..." Without hesitation InuYasha bit Kagome's neck and cleaned it almost instantly "at this moment"

 

'Peaches, Jasmine, Cherry Blossom and roses, so intoxicating' InuYasha thought

"That fast?" Kagome shivered a bit

"You belong to me Kagome, and I don't want anybody claiming you except me"
