Your life planted seeds and grew
At the end of your season, your influence remains
We all took a part of you
Learned to truly live
To feel grateful—even in the hard times, to draw an inner calm
Just to be alive, through it all we were in fact truly blessed
How your presence was a soothing balm
Taught us to laugh through the tears
And in spite of
The power to believe
The power of love
Because you lived and loved
You constantly gave and so rarely took
Because you gave you best even at your worst
You, without a doubt, are #1 in my book
You taught me how to die with honor
Still sunny even as you neared your sunset
Because you gave so freely you left a beautiful legacy
