Excellent as usual. Very nice...the virulent voices prodding InuYasha towards hate and madness; the very demon souls trapped upon the creation of the Shikon no Tama. Can that trapped human soul haunting them...be Midoriko? An eternity of fighting and aloneness within the jewel's confines...how horrible. Simply splendid.

I give this 10/10 for all; Possession is one of the most gripping InuYasha fics I've read. (Sueric's 'Purity' and Terri Botta's 'Lucky Ones' being the only other two I've liked close to this much). I have to say I didn't want to read it at first, 'cause it sure seemed like it would end up quite depressingly, but you've got some world-class writing happening, and now I'm hooked. ;) I've read this for two evenings straight on AFF (using Google cache when it went down), then switching here to Mediaminer when I found out to my excitement that it had 3 more chapters! Of course, now that I'm all caught up, and have only excruciating waits to look forward to. ;) What to say... (Excuse my lack of coherancy as it's 3AM) Your writing is of top caliber; I'm always absorbed by the story as there's no mis-spellings, misuse of grammar, or OOC moments. The transformation of the characters is intimate and believable. (Two parts especially: when Inuyasha has lost Kagome his anguish at failing to kill himself had me in tears, and the passage as Kagome instinctivly tries the 'sit' command and is awaiting Inuyasha's reaction was intense). I can't wait to read the next chapters - Kagome's in the past - can she affect the future and prevent these events? (Probably not, too 'happy'). She clearly never stopped loving InuYasha, especially as he once was, and is sometimes now close to being again. Inuyasha always and still has feelings for Kagome, even if they were twisted by losing part of himself to be replaced with something evil. I think I can see that Kagome could forgive Inuyasha (especially knowing the truth), but what would Inuyasha do to himself under the same circumstances? So basically I love it, and encourage you to post furthur updates within a finite quantity of time! ;)

i don't think it's ever taken me this long to read any story or book, ever. luckily for me it's a really good story. worth the wait between updates. another amazing chapter. great job, can't wait for the next one. hope it comes soon. oh, i've been meaning to say it for awhile, but kept forgetting; i like how you put miroku into the story. he adds some comic relief to an otherwise very depressing fic. any chance of sango making an appearance too? will inuyasha ever find out about the miscarriage? so many questions! at least he's finally remembering a little bit.

It's heartwrenching to read all of the angst! You read into the characters and their psyches so well, and relay their pain and confusion with brutal realism. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have in store for them in future chapters.

I have been a lurker for awhile, reading this fic and some of your others. This is a very original piece and very enjoyable. I'm happy to see the progression of Kagome "back" to herself. You have done a wonderful job of taking an extremely broken yet powerful and ruthless version of Kagome and shown us both the path to how she became that person and how she is finding her way back to her own happiness (acceptance of self and others). Going back and forth in time must have been really hard to write. But you pulled it off beautifully keeping readers (such as me) engaged in both stories. I will continue to look forward to your updates. Good luck with "real life" too.

Wheezambu, your chapters never disappoint me. I cannot imagine anyone leaving a complaint in your reviews. Some phrases or parts, that I was really entertained by, are: "pit hounds," pretty accurate; "pooled in his armpits," gave me an erie feeling; "human soul trapped with in a seething mass of demons," sounded scary and tortured. I really liked the scene where Kagome told InuYasha to "sit" and nothing physically happened, but emotionally/mentally there was an explosion. Actually, I liked it when InuYasha told Kagome to "shut up." Not that I like InuYasha putting her down, but once in a while, she needs help in getting her temper/emotions in check. Squee! Another awesome chapter! You've given just enough information about the boss to put the willies out in force. How did the mass become tangible? And does this mean the jewel was never destroyed in the first place? I know, I know, wait and see...evil, evil, evil!

Hmmm, iteresting. You know, part of me wonders if the boss is Kohaku, but he died. Or didn't he? I guess I'll find out later. And that flashback InuYasha had was cool, considering it was the jewel inside of him. Cool chapter. Congratulations, and thanks for the update.

Ah! The square of two primes. A good omen. ~~~~~ One thing I'd like to see is how Kouga reacts to fighting full-demon Inuyasha. He's never done that before, I take it. Full-demon, but no Tessaiga. ~~~~~ Kouga has responsibilities and no jewel shards in his legs. ~~~~~ Finally. Someone remembers how Rin died. ~~~~~~ And a convenient way to avoid another love triangle. Now Kagome can look at Kouga with fondness and affection without really considering staying with him. Sure, she's had other women's husbands before, but I think she's trying to go on the wagon. ~~~~~ "ten years younger than him." than he was ~~~~~ Whatever they had. Chilling. That's the Inuyasha I remember. ~~~~~ Careful, Yash. A spider on a single thread almost killed you more than once. ~~~~~~ "They still wanted revenge."
