A very cute story! To help you out with Japanese fruits and flowers--
Fruits native to Japan: plums, persimmons, pears, peaches, grapes, mangoes...there are more, but I hope that is enough to help.
White flowers native to Japan: Japanese Stewartia (these grow on trees), Dahurica and Japonica Bugbane (these look like and are part of the Buttercup family), Sakura (the ever-popular cherry blossom tree; the flowers can be either pink or white, depending on the variety), Chrysanthemums (known as kiku in Japan), Kousa dogwood (another flowering tree)...hope that these are good enough.
