He didn\'t beat you up, not…not like before, right?" ~~ I can\'t tell if it\'s Rin or Kagome who asks this, or who runs after him and grabs his arms. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hmm... Kagome doesn\'t want Inuyasha to go crazy, so she\'ll not tell. Sesshoumaru doesn\'t want Inuyasha to go crazy, so he\'ll not tell. What tells me that Shippo and / or Kouga don\'t give a dung demon\'s putrid tuckus about Inuyasha\'s mental well-being? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Use Tessaiga! Come on, Yash! It\'ll make you feel better! You whip out Tessaiga, you go \"Hey what\'s that funky scar smell on the wind,\" you save Kagome (and the fox runt while you\'re at it), you go HOLY CRUD WHY IS MY SWORD ALL SUPER-CHANGEY?! and why couldn\'t I do that before at last year\'s inuyoukai sword tournament and pancake breakfast? and they all of you eat squid for dinner.

Ooh...will Kagome really be able to Purify InuYasha? I have my doubts. Even as strongly as she feels and her remembered guilt and pain that Shippou was hurt because of her...she is still Kagome, no matter how much she has changed. Fate can be oh, so cruel. Who knows? Maybe she can...and maybe that could be the jolt he needs to release all of his hidden memories. -- Oh the angst, the darkness, the turmoil.

Great chapter as usual Wheeze. The feelings Inuyasha had in the end of the chapter were unexpected, but shows there's soon to be some progression between them. I like the interaction with Rin and Shippo too. I hope to see more of it. HUGS!

Awesome, just awesome. Reading your fic makes my chest feel tight because it's so suspenseful!! The only thing that struck me as a little off was the Rin/Shippou scene...Rin seemed a little OOC from the way she was established in the earlier chapters. Not quite so hair-trigger or, well, psychotic. Maybe because Shippou is a demon and not another human, she feels on more familiar footing? Certainly interesting, though! Thanks for the update!

gyaaaah. you know what you're doing don't you. making all of us loyal readers here go slowly insane from your EVIL cliffies. it's a love hate relationship ya know. we love the fic, but hate to wait for the updates. i am so into this fic. i must have resolution! i think i might lose my mind soon if i don't get it. i cringe when i think of when/if inu regains his memories. eek! your creative mind has no bounds and i look forward to the next post...whenever it may come. thanks.

Well I started reading the chapter wishing it would just go on forever and when I finished it screamed bloody hell for ten minutes for the mother of all cliffhangers. What is there to say? You portrayal of hurt is so realistic that you do actually is frustrating. The loss of Kagome's innocence, the loss of poor Shippou's innocence and to top that off to lose the rest of the family you had. And even if Kagome finds out that Inuyasha did it for her, she seems to bitter to forgive him. Another thing I love about this story is that Kagome acts so cold, hard and uncaring and every time she convinces herself that nothing will affect her and that she has got to be strong the person she used to be resurfaces a little. There are so many questions, so little answers. How is it that only Miroku can talk to Kagome, will she find out that Inuyasha did it for her, shouldn't she have figured it out he never was a talker. What will happen if Kouga finds out Kagome is back? Who is the big bad that is out there? And again I really like how you used the characters form 'the youkai and the exterminator' it gives you insight of their personalities, which you do not get to see very much in 'possession'. Can't wait for the next chapter.

I like Kouga's quasipaternal influence on Shippo. It makes a great deal of sense, and suggests an older, more mature Kouga. I wonder what he'll be like when we meet him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "The Shikon no Tama becomes more beautiful when it is corrupted," shades of Naraku, or what he saw. The enemy's insight; I love it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Eh... The italics in the last leg... Are those deliberate?
