Just finished reading chapter 17 and all I can say is wow. Your writing has always amazed me and this chapter was just as good if not better as the rest. I love it when people give their characters a reason for the things they do, and let the readers get to know their deepest secrets and wishes and dreams, instead of just showing the outside characteristics and not delving any further. Well once again, great chapter!

I'm glad I decided to check on this story. My mind is still swirling with all you revealed in this chapter. Talk about biting off more than you can chew! In his need for more power to protect Kagome, for the strength to be worthy of her (only in his opinion), that very strength and power destroy the only thing he loves...not cleanly, not quickly, but in a lingering, tortuous, living death. What little remained of his compassion and true feelings are eaten away by the acid of his guilt and the ferocity of his darker, demon side that has control. Strength, Hell! Didn't he ever take note, that for a Hanyou, he sure kicked the tails of more full-demons than you can count, many of which were purported to be very powerful indeed. Just because his honor couldn't keep up with Naraku's treachery, he thinks that he's too week. Naraku is as slippery as a greased pig and there is nothing strong enough to hang onto that. You have to corner him, block all escapes and net the wriggling bastard. The Inu-tachi have been fighting so long, it was all they could do to try and keep up, to survive each new plot and trap thrown at them, never getting ahead to devise their own trap. It isn't strength you need to catch and destroy Naraku...it's opportunity and preparedness...a dose of Luck wouldn't hurt either. -- Wow, your stories alway make me go off on some kind of tangent. Wow...so he did it to protect her but he couldn't protect her from himself. The irony! Now if he can just remember who she is and why she is important. This was way intense. I am totally hanging in here because I have no idea how this will be a happy ending...I mean I don't know how she will ever forgive him. I have faith in you though. I know however it ends it will be great. Looking forward to the next installment. Thanks for another great chapter.

It's a "lava floe," not a "lava flow." ~~~ "Those you would have protected," not those "who would have." ~~~ Wow. Dark and moving. I'm surprised that Inuyasha hasn't demanded that this strange chick from his lost years tell him the whole story. I'm surprised that he hasn't heard at least some of it from Kouga.

Whoa, this is *so* kick-ass! Poor Kagome. Poor Inuyasha. Hell, *everyone* is pretty much having to deal with the suckage. BUT, I've yet to see a problem with how *anyone* deals with the situation [well, maybe Shippou, but then I'm still seeing him as a little kid in my head...LOL]. And for some reason, when I was reading the latest chapter I kept 'hearing' the darkness that was talking to Inuyasah speaking in Naraku's voice. Poor Inu though, he used the jewel so he wouldn't lose control again...and lost it anyway. heh. I really can't see this ending *happily* though, some things just can't be forgiven. No matter, whatever happens I eagerly look forward to the next chapter!!

Unbelievable! You out did your self on this one. There was so much angst and tension in this chapter, that I did not know if I was going to make it to the end. It explains alot regarding Kagome's attitude. I am not so clear on Shippo's, but my imagination is running riot with ideas. If InuYasha was going to go bad, and still have my sympathies, you hit it dead on. Do you do this professionally? I feel like there's still a smoking gun, held up behind my little pea brain, after reading this. I have a feeling that you are not through with us yet. Hey! Bring it on! I love roller coaster rides and I can not wait for the next chapter. I think I will sit here indefinitely, with my seat belt ready, until your next chapter! Cynbad146

i had no idea of the inner turmoil inu went thru when he first transformed. i thought he just went, for the most part, insane because of his youkai. wow. that helps alot. i luv this fic and it really makes my day when you update! i feel so bad for kag. and i guess now, inu too. this is definitely in my top 5 list of faves. it just doesn't get any better. ;p your dark lemons are great. so talented. when you are able to, please post a new chap.

Oy, it is so heavy, so dark, so addictive. It's good to see the inner struggle that Yasha had - we have more perspective - to bad he still has no clue, but I know that you are working to that end. I'm looking forward to the next time!

This is reallly one of the best stories I've ever read. First I did the dance of joy when I saw how long it was :). Second, Possession is so full of raw emotion that you just get lost after reading two lines.

this must have been a difficult chptr to write, but you did it! Very, very well written. I am so glad you wrote it because it helps explain Inuyasha's attitude. Seems like there could be hope for both Inu and Kag. thanks for a great fic. J

Okay, you made me break my own rule. Usually, I don't read unfinished works, but you made me forgo my own aversion to cliffhangers and add this to my list of favorites. I am very interested in seeing where this is going, so (no pressure) I hope you update soon. I actually had a dream about this story last night. Could this be an omen? I hope so. Anyway, great job.

e_e... okay, first i was to say that the first scene with kouga was really good- really well planned out, i thought. lol about miroku and naked kagome- but ouch.. poor kagome. ::winces in sympathy:: and the very last bit with sesshoumaru. ,e_e, ::sniffles;: its so sad...!! ::breaks out crying:: oh how i love this story.. >_> oh yeah- and poor shippou. this is just not his fanfic. XD lol
