Oh, my… Silk is absolutely terrified, isn't he? He's more afraid of being in that cave than he is of being swallowed alive by that demon. I don't know how Miroku managed to do it all - but their very lives did depend on him. He has Silk fighting him tooth and nail while he's trying to maintain the barrier that's protecting them. And of course that demon taunting them and bashing on the mountain trying to make it collapse around them doesn't help in the least. The harder he works to hold the barrier, the harder Silk is fighting him to get loose. Miroku really doesn't want his friend to die like that because he's having to put up a hell of a battle on two fronts, when it would have been easy to let him go and get eaten. I know at one point Miroku was interested in seeing a demon raised from hell, but I'm sure after this one he'll be in no hurry to see another. He has almost insurmountable strength within to hold all of the fronts he's carrying. He doesn't want to die in that cave either, but Silk isn't helping matters any - especially when he goes and pulls a knife on him. And that demon really doesn't have a clue what he'll be facing once Miroku finally decides he must make a stand before the cave does collapse around them, since they had no hope of seeing if it went anywhere because of Silk's fear. The demon thought they had no chance against him. Wasn't he surprised when Miroku started to draw him in to his wind tunnel, but the demon had given him no choice. With the barrier failing, Silk so terrified he'd rather leave an be eaten, it was the only option he had left of escaping alive. Well, the demon now knows where those that are sucked into the kazaana go even if Miroku has no idea what actually happens to them. Except now, he's having to deal with the toxic poisons of the demon that he was forced to absorb. And thank heaven they're now past that hurdle, but Miroku has the new problem of being poisoned, and Silk has no idea what is happening to him. I hope they either get back to the others soon, or the others come looking for them. Someone should be able to help him - I know I would love to see Kagome be able to purify his body of the toxins he absorbed but anyone helping him at this point would be a blessing. And he can't die, because Sango is going to kill him again if he does. An exciting chapter and I look forward to the next one. There's so much going on!

Poor Miroku! Having to fight a claustrophobic ally and a demon from hell at the same time...no wonder he's sick! Can't wait to see who heals him and how he reacts to Silk's "poke" at his selfishness.

Omg it would SO cool if you posted a few chapters around Christmas. Like a... Present to the fans *hint hint*. I love this story but I feel like waiting for updates is like watching a pot boiling (or however that saying goes with the boiling pot thing). ^^

Good. God. D: This is the second time I'm reading through these latest two chapters and still I'm left gaping and ... genuinely anxious. I never saw that coming. If this were a movie, this would be the part where I hide behind a cushion and not emerge until everything was alright. DX But I can't, I'll just have to gnaw on my fingernails and read on when the next installment comes around - this is definitely one of the most anxious cliffies I've encountered in a fic. Hopefully Sesshomaru's newly-realized pack will rally around him, and he can bring himself to draw strength from them. And god, hopefully Rin is okay. I know she's a tough cookie, but to think of her alone in a foreign world is ... *shudders* Sesshomaru might lose his mind with worry. Wah, it's going to be so hard sparing enough attention for Sango's and Miroku's next chapter with all this happening! >< I have to say though, I'm wondering whether the birds had a feeling/instinct about what was going to happen ... Uncanny how they warned Sesshomaru to protect Rin just before this!

You have updated so quickly. I thank you for that. Poor Sess, I had a feeling that he should bring Rin with him. I hope that they will find her really soon or Sess will tear down anything in his path. I enjoyed the brother's bonding when Sess found his brother. I like how Inuyasha let down those walls and allow Sess see the best side of him instead his rough exterior. Update this great story soon.

Thank you for updating. It has been a while and I know how RL can interfere with writing. Well written and entertaining. It does seem to push the intimacy level of Rin and Sesshoumaru, though. I know that he is very protective of her and this is a reflection of their private time together where he can be less rigid. I guess that the problem I have is that I am not used to seeing Sesshoumaru portrayed with this much sensitivity. Don't get me wrong, you did a great job and I enjoyed the chapter. I look forward to your next installment, however long it takes to get it. grins Later.
