LOL, if I were Inuyasha, that would have been my response, as well. Whatever it is, the answer's no, LOL. Time to go home, indeed. That was a long, long day and night. Looks like, for some people, this new day is going to be just as long and tiresome, but at least Kagome and Inuyasha get to take a break finally. Good update!

LOL, I love Hisa. And I feel sorry for Michio; I guess 'hair of the dog' wasn't something they knew about yet back then. Maybe Kagome will suggest it? It'd be especially funny if she used that term, getting strange looks from the men looking between her and Inuyasha, LOL. Ah well. So nice that Sayo's had her baby now and that all that business is done and Yasuo can stop fretting. Time to get the new day started. Although for some, it looks like that's going to consist of going home and going back to bed. Looking forward to seeing what happens next. :-)

Wonderful update! I loved the interaction with Miroku and Aki, and how it's very obvious Aki has learned his lesson, and a hard lesson at that. Good job!

Though I found it a little slow and hard at first to sit down and read due to fact I like more action type storys. Some I got drawn in with all the charters and plot and I am only on chapter 75. All and all the story is a work of art and I can not wait to read more

And that, as they say, is that. Good update! So glad the new girl was born nice and healthy and that Kagome's gotten to experience, at least observationally, what it's like to go through childbirth. Kaede makes a very good point. Any young lady who's never assisted with another woman's childbirth before having her own child would certainly have a tougher time of it, with only hearsay knowledge and no actual first-hand clue as to what's going on at any given point. It worked out perfectly that Sayo was already so far along in her pregnancy when Kagome returned, so that she was able to get this experience under her belt so quickly, only back a couple of weeks. If you're gonna learn to swim you gotta jump in the water, and Sayo's such an easy going, friendly woman, so she was the perfect person for Kagome to practice on. Now that that's all over and done with, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what happens next with this wonderful, on-going little life adventure of a soap opera you've got us all hooked on here. :-)

Awwww...what a sweet update! A new baby girl. I can't really say I blame Yasuo for being so nervous, all things considered. A small thing going wrong could easily mean losing the baby and/or mother back then, without the modern technology we have now to step in and fix certain problems, or even do c-sections if need be. And since that's how he lost his mother? I think his nervousness is to be expected, for sure. So glad Sayo's so strong and one of those women who carries so well, healthy as an ox. They're right, one day Inuyasha will understand what it's like to be in their shoes all too well, but not quite yet. Looking forward to the next update. :-)

Wonderful update, as always. I loved Inuyasha's hesitant astonishment over the fact that the guys weren't blaming him for all the craziness that went on. And even with as drunk as Michio was he was just talking to Inuyasha like he was another man, and then turned around and referred to Morio as a monster. I liked Eiji's comment; they do know the difference between monsters and people who are just different. I also thought it was very tastefully done, the way you skipped the actual birth scene. We don't need those graphics; everyone is perfectly capable of using their imagination as far as those details went. I'm looking forward to seeing the reunion between Inu and Kag, and seeing if he's got any lingering astonishment that she picks up on, for how welcome he'd been treated by the guys. Plus I'm sure he'll be proud of her and all she helped accomplish with the birth, and poor Kagome's probably tired enough to plop right back into bed. Don't know if she'll be able to or not, but I foresee him being extra pampering if she gives off even the slightest hint to being too tired for something. He's sweet like that. Definitely looking forward to the next update, whatever it entails. :-)

Good update! The explanation for why Sayo has a birthing house, but Sango just gave birth at home, makes total and perfect sense, and I also liked that you tossed in that bit about how it shames their ancestors if a woman cries out from the pain. Of course, once upon a time I didn't know that, so my birthing scenes in my older stories, as few and far between as they are, are inaccurate on that account, but on the rare few occasions I do babies again in the future it'll definitely be way more authentic, like what you're doing now. I also got a kick out of Inuyasha inadvertently eavesdropping on the guys talking about him behind his back. I think that was a good conversation to overhear; some good things were said about him, and he needs to get it through that thick canine skull of his that some of the villagers actually don't hate him. Some of them, present company included, actually like him. I think this'll be a good experience for him, waiting for his wife alongside the other guys in a quasi-atypical 'waiting room' kind of setting. He's got no intention of leaving the area anyway, so may as well sit with the other guys, even if it's a bit uncomfortable for him at first. Definitely looking forward to seeing how that scene progresses in the next chapter, and what all they talk about now that he's joined the conversation. :-)

Yay, so glad MM's back up so you were able to load this chapter! I know I already reviewed over on FF, but eh, I didn't want to break with the tradition of leaving one review per chapter, LOL. Looking forward to the next update!

Good update. I like how you're incorporating information about traditional Japanese customs when it comes to childbirth, like the new mother going and staying with her mother, and the husband's mother helping with the household if necessary. Also liked your incorporation of the birthing house. Hard to tell in the manga whether it's one flowing scene or not as Kaede's washing Sango's baby and then Miroku enters the door saying oh it was born, and cut to Sango lying in bed with the baby bundled up as she bade him entry - obviously some time had passed so one could assume Sango was in a birthing house too and Miroku came home later, after Sango was back home. Would make sense that she'd be back home right away with no family members to stay with. Sounds like the birth house Sayo is in is a small private one on Toshiro's property, though, not a public one for any village member, so maybe Kaede made an exception in Sango's case since Miroku wasn't home anyway and just delivered her baby at home. Either way, what did or didn't happen with Sango in the manga, I love that you've given Sayo a birthing house to go to. You are nothing if not authentic with your Japanese details; even more so than Rumiko herself it seems. It's awesome! :-)

Good update. Babies pick the most inopportune times, don't they? LOL. Poor Eiji, all nervous about disturbing Inuyasha, LOL. I can see how he'd be an intimidating sight at night, especially with his demonic eyes reflecting the lamp light. Still, like Kaede said, he knew his wife would have to tend to this when the time came; he's the husband of a miko, after all, and Kagome can't ignore her miko duties. I liked how his attitude deflated as soon as he learned what the issue was, sighing in resignation of the day not being over yet, he and Eiji feeling genuine sympathy for each other and their mutual plights. Looking forward to the next update. :-)

LOL, poor Kaede...but wonderful cliffhanger. And yay! Duel adult time moments with our favorite guys and their mutual wives! I think they needed it after this crazy, never-ending day. And the day's still not quite over with yet. At least all the Chiya craziness is over for the time being. We can pick that back up again after the sun rises, LOL.

Yay! More Inu/Kag WAFF! Gotta love Inu/Kag WAFF, and the opening scene with Kaede, Kimi and Chiya was good, too. Still don't feel sorry for Chiya, LOL, although it was cool how she realized she brought it on herself and how everyone hates her because of her own damn actions. Too bad it was just the tea talking, LOL. If I were a villager there, Chiya's the kind of person that I wouldn't feel sorry for, for making her own bed and having to lie in it, but if she honestly did ever suddenly have an epiphany and tried to apologize and/or make amends and change her ways, then I would also let the past be the past and be nicer to her as well if she strived to be nicer. Doubt I'd ever really be a real friend, but I'd be a polite enough acquaintance as opposed to openly wanting nothing to do with her. Guess we'll have to see what road Chiya decides to take after the medicine wears off. In the meantime, so long as Inuyasha can keep her figuratively out of their home then it looks like he's about to have a very relaxing bath. ;-) Looking forward to the next update!

Good update! We needed more Sango/Miroku interaction after all that went down this day. Kind of hard to have a serious conversation with three little children around though, isn't it? Loved the 'adult' teasing on the sly, the little ones unaware. Looking forward to the next update. :-)

Finally got a chance to read this; I was determined to before bedtime. Loved it, of course. The scene with Inu and Kag was cute; I liked how you made a joke about how maybe Miroku likes to be punished, what with provoking Sango to slap him all the time before. Good thing Shippou wasn't around to hear that, or he'd have made a joke about Inuyasha being the same way with Kagome's sits, LOL. Oh wait, that's my universe idea. ;-) Anyway, liked the scene at the temple, too; really feel sorry for Michio. I'm sure it'll all work out in the end. Sometimes karma needs a helping hand, LOL. Chiya definitely made her own bed with this one, and lookie here, how convenient that we have a child-man the village kami said was everyone's responsibility. Looks like old Kazuo knew what he was doing after all, LOL.
