Good update! I like that you threw in some authentic facts about Japanese mythology, and how humans can become youkai under certain circumstances. Don't need to sell your soul to a bunch of insect youkai and whatever like Onigumo did, although that certainly works, too, but it is indeed in the myths that mistreated women can become vengeful ghosts or youkai. Nice touch! Really liked this chapter all the way around, especially the brief and mildly comical confrontation between Sadayori and Yoshio. I know it's a serious topic, but I mentally chuckled when they both cried out "You!" at the same time, LOL. I must say, Yoshio's got a point, since it was Sadayori's dying wish that Seiji be protected, but on the other hand I think Sadayori's also got a point because post-death as a ghost asking for help in dealing with Seiji Yoshio should have listened. But maybe Kazuo was right and it was destiny to wait until that day, that luckiest of days, when they even have Daikoku himself on their side. Whatever could have been done in the past, it doesn't matter. They're all together now, with the plans in motion. Something will now be done. And it's a something I'm definitely looking forward to seeing! :-)

Good update! Looks like things are starting to get serious, as far as the whole Seiji thing is concerned. We needed that break of comic relief in the beginning with Inuyasha and the pickles, LOL. Poor thing. Yeah, if it was just an eating contest then he'd win, no problem. But he's not trying to eat the pickles quickly, he's trying to taste them carefully and pick out each subtle nuance to weigh them against each other and decide which one he likes best. Hard to do, indeed. That'd be like me trying to pick a favorite topping combination for pizza, LOL. I like them all and for different reasons! Hopefully he can at least narrow it down to a tie of the top two or three, like I have, hahaha. And back with Yoshimi...I can understand where Tadaki was coming from. Seiji *is* his brother, so I suppose it makes sense for Yoshimi to want to try and talk to him, talk some sense into him. I don't believe for a second that Seiji would honestly listen to a thing anyone, including Yoshimi, might try to tell him as far as Inuyasha and Kagome not being evil, etc., but that doesn't mean he wouldn't listen well enough to know that, like Tadaki said, he should at least *act* humble during his trial. But he's so pissed right now that he probably wouldn't listen to reason even to that point, to know that he should bite his tongue and play along. He's in 'Screw you!' mode. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens when/if Yoshimi goes and talks to him. I'm sure it's all a part of Kazuo's master plan.

Poor Maeme-chan is right, but I'm glad all the wheels are in motion, even if all the players don't quite know it yet. Not much to say to this one, except that I am of course thoroughly looking forward to seeing the continuation of Kazuo's master plan in your next installment.

And Tsuneo's family kami has finally made an appearance! Sometimes we are indeed all tools of destiny. Sitting back and waiting for something to work itself out on its own, it doesn't always work that way. Sometimes it's destiny that we interfere, that destiny's plan all along, in order to accomplish what needs to be done, is to have somebody interfere and do it. In the end everything happens as it was meant to. Looking forward to the next update! :-)

Bum Bum Bum...looks like we're about to find out just what it is Kazuo is plotting. I feel sorry for Sadayori. He meant well; everyone makes mistakes. The important thing is that he wants to do what's right for his grandsons. Like Kazuo said, to a point it's free choice, and we can all choose which path we'll take, but those poor boys, they don't have much of a choice of *anything* right now with that monster of a father ruling their lives. It's funny, in a non-humorous way, just how many people are like that in real life, who chase their own good luck away with how evil their hearts are whilst turning around and blaming all their problems on everyone/everything else. *sigh* At least it looks like things will work out for Maeme and the boys in the end. After everything they'd have to deal with, they deserve some good luck, indeed. And LOL, poor Inuyasha. I 'sort of' feel sorry for him. *snickers* I don't know why, but I hear English Dub Naraku's voice taunting "Choose, Inuyasha" from the old Adult Swim IY commercials, LOL.

Sooooooooooooooo glad I can review this story over here again! WAY too much has happened since my last review to try to touch base on everything, but since my last review was about Maeme I guess that's a good focal point. Definitely looks like I was wrong that there was nothing anybody could or would do for her. And nobody really knew just how bad her situation was, either, although they do now and I'm so glad that even the gods are on her side and on this most lucky day of the year it looks like something will finally be done about Seiji. Besides all that, it's lovely to see that wedding finally come to pass. Today's talk of Chiya does remind us that she's still brooding over in that house by the river, but ah well, we don't need to see those details. She's sniveling to herself 'woe is me' and working on her spinning. That situation will work itself out in time, but the situation with Seiji and Maeme is FAR more important. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what happens next!

LOL, I like Daisuke. If he were my neighbor, I'd hang out with him. He's got my kind of sense of humor, ;-). And awww...poor Maeme. Too many women are in her situation, even now with the laws changed, but back then, there was pretty much nothing anybody could or would do for her, so that has to be rough, knowing everyone knows but also knowing that it's her husband's right, her lot in life, and while it's sad there's almost no way out of it. No wonder she sings of being a caged bird with clipped wings. That's how I'd feel in that situation, too. Looking forward to the next update. :-)

Awwwwwww...beautiful update! The first part with Kaede, Kagome and Inuyasha was cute. Especially the end of that scene, where Inuyasha was getting pestered by the kids, LOL. Hey, that's what he signed up for, insisting on tagging along. Something tells me it doesn't really bother him quite as much as he'd have us believe. The second scene with Miroku and the others was wonderful, especially that blessing he did right at the end. Well done! As per usual, I'm looking forward to your next installment. :-)

Good update! Cute scene, with Inuyasha getting Daiki to settle down. I like that he showed some of his inu-youkai side, barking nonchalantly to the dog, and being so casual about it afterwards, too. I can totally picture that if Kagome hadn't been on the ball to already be so accepting of her husband's canine half, and had instead of just asking what happened had looked at him with a funny look, taken aback by his barking, that Inuyasha would have in turn had a confused look and been like "What?" LOL. I also liked how he used his speed to make Daiki run smack into him, and the boy's oblivious state, even to Kaede who he'd previously almost crashed right into, and Inuyasha's threat that he can run way faster, so he'd better not run away again. It was a very good moral to teach. A man pays for what he takes. Daiki ate the treat, so now he's got to pay the price, and if it was worth it well then so be it, but if not, then maybe he just might learn not to do it again. Fabulous little snippet; a day in the life at Toshiro's place, LOL.

Cute update. The banter about the pickles at the very end made me smile. Also Kaede and Kagome's inside joke about Inuyasha, and even Kagome herself, being stubborn and reminding Kaede of that old man who won't take his medicine. Forgot his name, LOL. How do you keep track of all these people living in your head?! What's worse, I'm keeping track of them, LOL. It's like all the many, many characters of a really good soap opera, and that's exactly what this is; a really good soap opera. I'm definitely looking forward to the next update. :-)

Good update! The Inu/Kag scene at the beginning was especially nice. I like when Inuyasha can admit what an idiot he used to be; it's very apparent that both he and Kagome have done a lot of growing up since those days. The mother/son banter at the end with that traveling song was also cute. Keep up the good work!

If I were in charge of the lockup I'd be leaving Seiji's ass in there at least another day. So glad they're not letting him out on the wedding day. They do not need him to spoil things. Good chapter. Good update. Do you realize that this chapter was comprised entirely of original characters, with no break away showing us any of the original cast? LOL, but all your OCs, they are Canon now, at least in my mind! You've given names to all the previously 'random' villagers that in reality have been present in Kaede's village all along. We've seen them before, we'd just never personally met them until now. It's going to be so hard for me to come up with my own original villagers when the time comes, LOL, because yours seem so Canon! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what happens next. :-)

Good update! At least all the craziness down at Tameo's compound hasn't reached Inuyasha's house, with as tucked away as they are. I know getting pulled into that mess is the last thing Inuyasha, or Kagome, want, especially today of all days. Hopefully things go smoothly for Chime and the wedding.
