LOL, cute ending. Sounds like a comment I would've made. Really liked the opening scene with Chiya and co.; I love how they're not putting up with her shit anymore and telling her to knock it off. Miroku definitely needs to bless Eiji's house after that mess. Looking forward to Thursday's update. :-)

I figure that was supposed to read "put up with your stunts"... No matter, I can easily translate little boo-boos like that. I'm TOTALLY loving this story so far, and Chiya's face at Michio's muttered comment about a brothel serving her right was just priceless. Even if she secretly does still think it's unfair how everyone is wrongly against her, how poor little ol' her is the innocent victim who did nothing wrong and everyone hates her for no reason, I think it's at the very least starting to seep into her brain that she needs to click herself over into 'beg for forgiveness' mode, and drop the attitude. Doesn't matter if you honestly think you're a victim and did nothing wrong or not, when everyone's against you and something bad is about to happen to you because of it, because they're all angry with you over something you did do, whether you think it was bad or not. Time to beg and plead and swear never to do it again just to save your hide. Only problem is, when it comes to people like Chiya, even taking their punishment...it isn't going to make her wallow in the misery of knowing she deserves her punishment, feeling so horrible over how she'd acted and how she'd forced them to punish her so severely. She's going to stew in her hate over how unfair it all is, and how all she'd done was 'tell the truth' that everyone else seems to be in denial over. People like Chiya, I don't think they're actually capable of learning they were truly in the wrong and becoming better people for it. At the very least, though, she needs to be taken down a few pegs. She's been queen bee manipulator for far too long; I'm so glad it's all blowing up in her face and everyone's turning against her now. She definitely deserves it. Meanwhile, with Shinjiro and the others, I'm glad he's not too seriously hurt, and the interaction with Inuyasha telling him he'd better just give in and let Kagome treat him, because when she decides to treat your injuries then that's what she's going to do...that was cute. I really liked that scene. They should just tell Chime the truth. Instead of being angry with Shinjiro for having some bruises, she'll be grateful he was so lucky in that he didn't get hurt any worse than he did. Definitely looking forward to the next update. :-)

I'm really enjoying this. Bits seem to be missing here since put your stunts doesn't make sense; “How many times am I supposed to put your stunts?”

Ooooooooooo, super awesome update! I wasn't expecting Shinjiro to get hurt! I'm glad he's okay. If I know you and the way you write, you didn't know he was going to get hurt either until he went and hurt himself, foolish boy, LOL. Looks like he'll be a little bashed up but otherwise none the worse for wear at his wedding. Thank goodness. LOVED Fujime letting Chiya have it! Some people just make you want to slap them so hard, and the worst part is even that won't beat any sense into them. Awesome that the men came in right at that moment, led by Michio. Wicked cliffy. Crazy looking forward to Thursday's chapter!

Good update! Finally back with Chiya... sheesh, she makes me want to smack her upside the head and scream "Wake up!" in her face, LOL. The sad thing is, there really are people like her in real life, that perpetually feel sorry for themselves and feel like everybody's against them when the only reason everyone is fed up with them is because they're such total a-holes to be around. The bit where she was talking smack about Sango made me chuckle. Sango, holding Miroku back? And what does Miroku see in her? Does Chiya have any concept about how many times those two have saved each other's lives, while risking their own lives in the process? Chiya couldn't help out any in a battle. They were on a quest to slay the enemy of Miroku's blood line, the man who single-handedly destroyed Sango's entire family and village spare Kohaku; they are bonded warriors and there's nobody Miroku would rather be with. I dare say at this point that if anything happened to Sango he'd become a truly celibate monk for the rest of his life, past flirtatious tendencies be damned. And here Chiya is thinking of Michio as a tiger growling at her, poor little ol' her who did nothing wrong, and she's not even repentant for the public humiliation she caused him, thinking him the vicious one for demanding she apologize to Inuyasha in the first place like he'd done. How wicked of him to have taken the hanyou's side... His request really was unreasonable, after all. Apologize to that beast? LOL. What's really funny is that this is a universe where the local gods can and do show themselves, and the kami himself went hi everyone, I like these guys so you better treat them nice, and she still thinks they are wicked and wonders why oh why the kami have forsaken her, LOL. Definitely looking forward to the next update. I can't wait to see Chiya's face when the elders get there and she finds out where she'll be living for the next little while.

Good update! Wasn't expecting Kazuo to make an appearance, but it was super cool that he did, and that he explained a few things. That was awfully perfect timing, the way Morio was spooked just in time for Tameo and Miroku to reassure him that they could send him to a place where the badness couldn't get him, and now he actually wants to go. Makes sense that the kami would have had something to do with that. And good thing Eiji caught them right when he did, so now they'll take Chiya first. If they'd already been in the process of moving Morio that wouldn't have worked as well, so it's a good thing Miroku took longer blessing the houses than he needed to, showing off as he was doing, LOL. Also loved the cryptic clue Kazuo gave to Inuyasha about paying attention to his dreams. You are quite the story weaver, you know. Definitely looking forward to the next update! :-)

Okay, I was wrong, LOL. I thought Choujiro was supposed to be at the door; you tricked me! But I loved the little addition of Shippou. 'Bout time he was back in the picture again, I agree. And Kagome makes a good point; sleep too much during the day and then you won't be able to sleep the next night, so the only solution becomes a groggy day until you can finally get caught back up on sleep the following night. The banter between Inuyasha and Shippou was cute; I loved how Shippou was like well then no wonder you're so crabby, LOL. The scene with Miroku was great, too. I knew right away that that was a real prayer you'd plucked from somewhere. It's not within your ability to make up BS for such an occasion; it'll be researched and accurate, or you just won't do it. That's one thing I've always loved about your stories. Glad to know the house on the river currently has a pleasant energy about it, now hopefully to keep it that way... Definitely looking forward to the next update. :-)

Good update! Can't blame Kimi for breaking down like that for a moment; she really is a saint and doesn't deserve the grief Chiya is causing her and her family. Also can't say I blame that grandmother for being irked that the elders want her grandsons to play with Morio, but I don't really think he'll be that much of a problem. Keeping him playing with children, that's what keeps him out of trouble. Still, I'd never leave any of the boys with him unsupervised, but I highly doubt anyone is stupid enough to do that anyway, so then there's really no problem. Chiya will be the problem. Looks like Chiya is going to continue to be everyone's problem for a while yet, LOL. And yay, Inu and Kag are back in the picture! That was an interesting dream. Looks like it might've been about to tell him something important before that 'rapping at his chamber door' roused him from his slumber. Bet I know who's at the door. ;-) Definitely looking forward to the next update! :-)

Wow, that opportunity did just sort of fall into their laps, didn't it? Wouldn't be surprised if it turned out Kazuo had had something to do with spooking Morio, this time at least, just so that he'd run out and cause that ruckus while Miroku and Tameo were approaching, able to witness it and use it to their advantage like that. Perfect timing! It should be much easier to get Morio into that house by the river, now, than how it would've been before, if he'd just thought they were trying to ship him away, get rid of him. Now, this makes it sound like they're going out of their way to do him a favor, to keep him safe. Too bad it probably won't go so smoothly with Chiya, LOL.

Wow, go Eiji! Guess I can't really blame Kimi for being frozen in shock like that, it being such a "does not compute" moment for the sweet girl, but glad her husband didn't hesitate to act. Too bad Tazu's favorite bowl accidentally got broken, but eh, small price to pay for Chiya getting that tongue lashing, and can't wait to see the others' faces when they come in to find her bound like that!

Really, Chiya? Ritualistic suicide? *snort* Cry for attention, much? Like Kimi's going to just stand there and let her do it. She waited until Kimi was standing right there, after all. Otherwise she should have done it privately, before they thought to check on her. Ah well, glad to see Chiya hasn't lost her flair for the dramatic, I suppose, LOL. Loved the opening Inu/Kag WAFF, of course. I'm not surprised Inuyasha developed those worries, after hearing such a horror story, and thinking maybe it was knowing the dangers, or seeing the few bad times something's gone wrong, that made Kaede decide not to have any children of her own. So glad Kagome reassured him; learning what she's learning about childbirth isn't going to scare her away when it comes to them having their own kids. Keep up the awesome work!

Good update, as always. Glad to see Michio is starting to shake it off. He feels like crap, and probably will for some time yet, but at least he's not drunk any longer and has a clear head aside from his dizziness. Things are progressing nicely with this new day. Can't wait to see what's next! :-)

Lovely update, as always. The Inu/Kag banter was cute. Hopefully now that he's put her down they really can make it the rest of the way home without somebody running to fetch them, LOL. I also loved the teasing about the pickles; Inuyasha just will not get over his amazement that in that village, the worst gossip about him is his love for pickles, LOL. Not surprised the various women all want him to try theirs, and let them know what he thinks. He is a pickle judge, LOL. The scene with Tsuneo and co. was more somber, but definitely necessary, as we move this bit along and work towards getting Chiya in that house. I'm really starting to feel sorry for both Tsuneo and Joben as well. He certainly hadn't meant for all that badness to happen. It'd been his intention to chase away the badness, when he'd been under the false belief that Inuyasha was the cause of it. Turning around and bringing in more badness of his own, it's karmic justice for wrongfully accusing Inuyasha of being evil, but at least he's learned his lesson, unlike some other people. Can't wait to see Chiya's reaction to everything once she finds out their plans! LOL

Poor Eiji, LOL, and I agree, Kimi is a saint. Looks like things are about to get interesting for all involved with Chiya. At least Kagome and Inuyasha have some down time for a while, now. I liked her teasing that if it takes them too long to walk back she might be too tired to cook anything, and so then he scooped her up and ran off with her toward the house, LOL. And I bet he probably really was really tired a lot of the time; that's canon, 'cause there's that one scene where he totally conks out on Kagome's bed. Sleep deprivation, especially when it's necessary (somebody's gotta keep watch, after all) is definitely a valid excuse for a crabby temper afterwards. Good update, as always. Looking forward to the next one. :-)
