Good chapter! I like the way you handled Kagome and Inuyasha's conversation prior to her going into Kaede's hut, and the scene at the end there with Kagome actually going into Kaede's hut, and everyone's varying reactions, was just perfect. Yes, Haname and Kagome definitely do need to talk, and Inuyasha's right, that Kagome is forcing herself to do this despite being nervous about it, that shows her bravery. I also liked him admitting that he got afraid at times, too, and that he just hid it better was all. There were plenty of times in the canon when we as outside observers knew that Inuyasha had to be scared out of his mind. I really, really love this story! It's totally just like you picked up where the manga left off! :-) Looking forward to the next chapter, as always.

Really liked this upgrade. Well, then again, when do I not like them? LOL. But this one was especially nice, what with the cute little chit-chat scene we got to see between Masuo and Kaede, and how the kids started talking and the adults weren't really paying the children any mind, and neither were the kids paying any attention to the adults' conversation, LOL. So like real life, that scene. If Masuo had heard what his daughter had said, then he wouldn't have been surprised to learn right at the end there of Kagome's miko status. But I loved the way you handled that, that he was surprised but then immediately realized it wasn't his place to say anything negative about it, especially because he'd heard about what happened with the kami and also because of his connection to Kaede. I liked the way Inuyasha stiffed up, as will be his instinctive reaction for some time, I'm sure, but then the way he relaxed once he realized Masuo was still cool. Poor Inuyasha, though, with the question of if he's an inugami, LOL. He'll probably always get that one from time to time, but I thought it was cute how he wiggled his ears to make her laugh, and the scene of him giving the Kintaro figure back was good, too. I wouldn't be surprised if Kintaro really had had a hand in it somehow or another. All in all, great chapter, as always. :-)

Wonderful new chapter! I loved all the little details about this and that that just make it so much more authentic. Why am I not surprised that Daitaro judge's a man's character by how he acts around his bull? LOL, I love that old farmer. And I really loved how you had Keiji bowing and how it surprised Inuyasha that they've now been elevated in status, although with the song getting cut off at 'hard is my' and Kagome's comment that it was a rude song after hearing the next verse I think that was my favorite part of Keiji's appearance, LOL. You know I love me a rude ol' folk song! And even though it kind of weirded Kagome out, I'm glad she agreed to help Momoe with Miroku later that afternoon; she is in training to be a village miko, after all, so doing blessings and such for people who have lost their luck is part of the job description, and who knows, since she does have the favor of the local kami maybe it really will do Momoe's family some good. At the very least, if there really is some kind of darkness plaguing her, then Miroku's sutra will for sure get rid of it. And thank you for mentioning Hotei! I have a jade Hotei necklace and to me he's Hotei but everyone calls him Buddha; that's the problem when the same guy is one kind of deity in one culture and a different kind in another. I don't wear him because he's China's future Buddha, I wear him 'cause he's one of the 7 Lucky Gods of Shinto, and like you said it most certainly doesn't hurt to have the luck gods on your side. ;-) All in all GREAT chapter! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what happens next, as always.

LOL, Miroku you sly devil you. Lovely chapter all the way around. Even though Miroku's trying to use Kazuo's praise to his advantage it's very true that the roof does need to be repaired, and it's also true that this is probably the best time to do it, like your analogy of striking while the iron's hot, so even though in a way he's up to his old tricks and Inu's picking on him for it I can't really say I blame Miroku all that much. He's just doing what he's gotta do to get the job done. As for Kagome, I can totally understand her nerves, although it's quite true that thinking about upcoming things that must be done is usually worse in the long run than just doing them. I'm sure she'll be fine. Super looking forward to the next chapter! :-)

Yay! *applause* Let's hear it for the longest day ever finally coming to a close! LOL. I loved Inuyasha's reaction to learning of Kazuo's public announcement that 'even he' is under his protection. Makes sense too that he would've thought that Morio was dead so I can understand his unease with the knowledge that he's still alive; he'll clearly want to see what's become of him for himself. Inuyasha's going to have a busy day tomorrow, since he has to speak with Tsuneo and Tameo and there's probably also a bunch of other stuff to do. Hopefully day thirteen won't take as many chapters to get through as day twelve did, LOL. Until next time!

Woo-hoo! LOL, Inuyasha's got plenty of talents, *wink*. But besides all the fun stuff, I really liked the other, more serious aspects of this chapter too, in how he can't just blast the problem away with his sword and run away this time; they're at home and he knows he can't risk doing anything to screw that up, but it's leaving him feeling his inability to really do anything. I'm sure he'll feel a thousand times better about it all once he finally learns what Kazuo actually did to Morio, though of course there's still the whole 'Haname' thing to deal with, too. One day at a time, though. I love the line about him feeling tired of feeling guilty, and also bringing up mention of the rosary was cute, Kagome's sheepish apology for past use of the beads and his acknowledgement that he probably deserved it at least some of the time. All in all I really liked this chapter; great job!

Good chapter! *applause* Inuyasha's not going to do anything to screw up having a home in the village; that is so clear and I love the way you've portrayed his accurately more mature character now that it's years after the mission and they're in the midst of their happily ever after. LOL, I love how you had him say how he loves Daitaro showing up at odd times, treating him like a real person, and the village women gossiping about his love for pickles. Yes, Inuyasha, you really do have a home, you really are a part of a village. I'm sure there have been times when other village guys might have gotten upset at something or another and wanted to go pound someone with a fist and had to negotiate through Tameo as well, so he's not the only one biting back his temper to do it by the books. Really looking forward to the next chapter, ;-).

Lovely update. Poor Kagome, I suspect it's going to be a little while before she fully recovers from this ordeal. I loved Shippou's reaction to getting the bakeneko tail. I could just see him as a bright-eyed kid, going "I take back all the mean things I've said!" as he eagerly accepts his present, LOL. And Masuo's surprise at Inuyasha's house and wife were well done; I really like Masuo, since he is so accepting of Inuyasha. Who is he to judge, right? And he knows that himself, so that's wonderful. Looking forward to the next updae, as always. :-)

I just knew you'd have your next update waiting for me when I got home, and what a lovely way to unwind from the day. I'm glad Kagome's had a good cry and hopefully things can calm down now...or spice up, LOL. ;-)

Poor Kagome...it was only a matter of time before she'd break down like that; I know I wouldn't be able to keep my mask on forever. Now that Inuyasha's there and she's safe in his arms she can finally let it all out.

Hey, nikichan, go back and read chapter 4 again. She totally did a whole to-do explaining how the kami of the well and the Goshinboku work together and merge Kagome and Inuyasha's auras when they consummate their marriage; they're both going to be around for as long as the Goshinboku itself. Anyhoo, KK, GREAT update, as always. :-) I loved the way Inuyasha was calm, under the circumstances, though I bet his heart was racing. I loved that he was able to explain his fears to Kagome, and that he didn't mask them by harping on her for being an idiot putting herself in harm's way, as perhaps the 'old' him might have done. Hisa's right, they've definitely grown up since those days. And I loved Hisa's conversation with Sango; maybe now the female taijiya won't feel like such an outsider among the other village women. Besides, she should befriend Hisa anyway so that she can use her bathtub! LOL. Also, that drinking/singing scene with the guys was cute. All in all, fabulous update. Super looking forward to the next one, as always. :-)

I really love this story. Please keep it up until the end. Could please tell readers some of meanings of the names given to your characters. Like Chime, Erime, Chiya. Plus I have a thought about Kagome's lifespan? Inuyasha will outlive her for a long time. You should think about how you are going to figure it out for this story. Good luck! Bye.

Perfect new chapter!!! I think Inuyasha handled Shippou telling them the news perfectly. He didn't immediately flip out, like maybe the old, younger him could have possibly done. Instead he listened for a minute until he knew he had all the facts, though of course I also loved how he punched that tree; very realistic. LOL, Kagome commenting that it's been such a long and strange day is the understatement of the century. This day's been what, 20 chapters now? And it's still not quite done yet, LOL, though we're getting close. Emi being unnecessarily worried that Inuyasha could possibly actually take his temper out on Kagome (especially in this situation where it's clear he would be worried for her safety and not be angry with her in any way) actually makes me worried for Emi. Or perhaps more accurately a friend of Emi's? Since she's said twice now how she's 'heard' how 'some' men can be. Hope we don't have any wife batterers in the village, though I know that's really neither here nor there in this situation. Like Sango said, Inuyasha's come out of magically induced madness to tend to Kagome, and good ol' Hisa also knows Kagome's got nothing to fear from him. Maybe Kagome's nervousness of the whole situation was just unintentionally giving Emi the wrong impression. That sure won't last long, though, once she catches sight of how tender he's being with her. Yay for that reunion scene! Beautifully done. Beautiful chapter. I eagerly await your next installment.
