Another great chapter :D I like the twist by throwing Totosai into the mix. And the bit about the kimono and Rin's life being bound to Sess' was just too exquisite for words. Way to go!

AWESOME fic. Really hope to see more soon. Love the bit about Sesshoumaru specially choosing a kimono for Rin--I dunno, that's just very thoughtful/romantic in the subtle Sesshy way. ^^ And whee! Rin's an immortal now! And does she become a swordsmith? Wooo! Hope to see more of your angsty fic soon! A Sess/Rin *demands* angst.

The backstory is perfect! I love all the details that you came up with, about Sesshomaru's mother, his father, Inuyasha's mother, how the Tenseiga works, how Rin's life is bound to Sesshomaru's, everything. And Rin gets to go with Totosai, thus avoiding a potentially annoying love triangle with either Shippo or Kohaku. This fic is so amazingly good! Wow!

"Egotistical little hound" -- BEST DESCRIPTION OF SESSHOUMARU SINCE "FLUFFY". ^_^ Loved the chapter, glad to see Totosai thrown into the mix (he doesn't seem to come up much in fanfic). Good job! Eagerly awaiting next chapter!

that was a good chapter. you are right, there aren't many stories out there that has depicts sessy's mom as a good person. it was a good chapter. original idea with the past. i just love sesshoumaru's character. don't you? he is evil in the anime but just so damn lovable. i hope you will update soon cuz i am curious where you will take rin now. i don't want to guess cuz i wouldn't know where to start.

ARGHH! Finally! It took me eight tries before Mediaminer would allow me to leave a review here! (I sent you an email about it and then decided to give it one more shot). You may want to change your settings to allow those who aren't MM members or who aren't logged in to post reviews -- as I said in my email, I'm sure that there are lots more out there who'd like to comment on this! ^_^ I came to this fic based on Maven's recommendation on ff.net. ^_^ This story is very well written, although I did sometimes have difficulty following the jumps in time. You draw an AMAZING Sesshoumaru -- he's such a hard character to get inside of, and not only do you make his actions believable and true to form, but his inner thoughts are equally in character and fascinating. Your last chapter was very intense, engrossing reading. I also particularly like your description of the battle between Naraku and Sess -- it's difficult to write a good battle sequence that maintains a sense of danger and momentum, and you really nailed it. Can't wait to read more!

Do you ever get sick of seeing my reviews here? heehee . . . How could somebody flame something that's so well-written and so true to Sesshomaru's character? I mean, it was hard to read--him being so outwardly cruel and dismissive of Rin. But, at the same time, what did you expect to happen? No one has an ego larger than the Lord of the Western Lands, and Naraku stepped all over it . . . I especially enjoyed the conflicting emotions Sesshomaru seemed to be experiencing while dealing with Rin. And, I hope you don't mind, but in the A/N of one of my Sess/Rin fics (here and on ff.net), I told my readers to check out your fic if they're looking for a good read :D Oh well, top notch job as always. I DO hope more people start reading this.
