Too bad Sesshomaru never heard that human phrase 'let sleeping dogs lie'(or in Inuyasha's case, rest in bed);it would have saved him a measure of grief. And if he's really serious about wanting to get to know his brother, he has to listen to what Inuyasha is saying: 'no' means 'no'. Sesshomaru completely blocked out Inuyasha's request to be left alone. And chaos ensues...lol That whole bedroom scene had me laughing: Inuyasha in the younger sibling mode, just shooting down all of Sesshoumaru's suggestions and Sesshoumaru just being himself - the overbearing, older sibling know-it-all. But by the end of this chapter I felt so sad for them both. They are back at square one where things stopped years before: Inuyasha with unmet needs because of his older brother and Sesshoumaru still imposing his will on his sibling. It really came across that Inuyasha has been deprived on so many levels through his whole life and that Sesshoumaru has pretty much had everything he ever wanted or needed. A great example was Sesshoumaru's inner logic in the market place; the shop keepers could just hold whatever Inuyasha wanted. He never thought it through that Inuyasha would not know that he could charge anything from the market to the Royal account and said item would be his. Inuyasha wanted that reminder of his mother so badly and to have Sesshoumaru tell him later that the tiny conversation they had in the store was unimportant just iced it all for Inuyasha. It's the final proof of the day for him that he's not really wanted or needed by Sesshoumaru. And then Rin happens along. Sesshoumaru is really clueless about Inuyasha's reaction to Rin. He's rubbing it into his brother's face that Rin is wanted and can have his full attention and time just because she's Rin and so darn cute. Who could say no? Inuyasha is not worthy of his time or attention. Poor Inuyasha can't help reacting the way he does. He gets the message that he is not in the same class as Rin; Rin was chosen and he was not. That closing scene with Inuyasha was heart breaking. He's been whipped by his thoughts and his perspective of the days events into an even deeper depression than before. He's sure now that he is being used by Sesshoumaru somehow and then will just be tossed out like the garbage. He's once again feeling uncertain and unwanted as he was as a child; a stark contrast to the triumphant warrior earlier in the day who beat Imalia into the ground in defense of his honor. Hmmm, musing about Inuyasha's room: if the lights dimmed and then went out when he thought about it the night before, would that mean his room has been spelled in some manner to serve him? Could he lock out everyone just by thinking and desiring it? Sesshoumaru is a little too smug with his knowledge that the door can be locked; it would be a kick to his backsides if his father had put a spell on the room just to keep Inuyasha safe and its been activated by Inuyasha's pain. No physical locking needed. All in all, another great chapter!! There are just so many neat things going on: the guards attitude that will get some adjustment from Sesshoumaru; Imalia getting her dues (plus maybe she too has a hidden agenda?); the still unwanted house guests hanging around; the meeting with the other Lords; maybe not killing off the tailor quite yet; finding out what Daigon has discovered about Inuyasha's new abilities and Sesshoumaru hoping that tomorrow has got to be better...but I wouldn't count on it if I were him...lol

I just spent literally the last day, with a little time sleeping reading this whole story so far. It is quite addictive. Your writing is wonderful, the story pulls you in so much. In fact I cried when Inuyasha begged for Kagome to remove the beads, and through almost the entire chapter when Inuyasha saw his bedroom for the first time, there have of course been other moments as well, but those two parts of the story were written amazingly. I hope that the brothers can come together, Inuyasha needs Sesshoumaru's love, and Sesshoumaru needs Inuyasha's. I was very happy that you highlighted what a jerk Kagome is. I have never been happy with her treatment of Inuyasha... ever. I have always been endeared to Inuyasha's character, and I have never found her constant abuse of him to be funny, or comical. I always wondered why she hadn't removed them. I think you are correct in how the characters would react to the situations they are put into. The idea you came up with for "Inu-Youkai and Sess-Youkai" is absolutely fantastic, and thsoe two characters (in a way they are becoming characters of their own) can be very funny sometimes, I find myself laughing aloud. I haven't found a story I've been this into in a long time, I find myslef worrying now about the characters, especially since I just finished reading the last chapter. I am sure you are very busy, but please, please update as soon as you can.

this is suspense, i need it done and i need continue as fast as you can! This is exciting, so don't let our mood down in instant if you delay it more than 2 weeks. the last part is amusing, though sad in the same time. So in time keep it up!

Wonderful, completely marvalous. Thank you for clearing up the height issue and I don't believe you are making Kagome too bitchy. This is now tied for my favorite story (please don't take that offensively in any way, that means it is better than literally thousands of others I've read). It is however my favorite on this site and of this pairing. As another note I am Male and I do like yaoi, yuri, and normal(not sure of correct term for male/female). I like all pairings except Sess/Kag. Other than those I read every InuYasha story I can find on this site and fanfiction. I really like the description you go into on the fight scenes, I can really picture it in my mind. The constant trauma in InuYasha's head makes for great plot twists and while I understand why InuYasha is upset I just can't picture him Hating Rin for long, especially while shes sick with something he's suffered through before. Either way this story is magnificent and I hope you continue writing soon. Your Faitful Reader, Reaper

I am so glad that you have updated. yes I am a boy reader, but that does not matter. The deeper you go into this story the more and more I love it. Even though some spelling is off, it still is A+ writing to me. Like I think I said before, there aren't too many good Inuyasha fics out there, and hardly any like this. This is like a once in a year find, and I aprreciate the fact that you continue to update, as so many good writers of good fics have stopped. Please continue this fic, and if you don't, please let us know so we won;t worry about it, and you.

I really love your story so far. It's nice to see a story that points out the abusinveness of Kagome (which she really is). I think it reflects well how InuYasha would feel.

I love it! And I have to say "FINALLY!" some comments that morbid relationship between Sesshoumaru and Rin versus Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha. I dont have a thing against the little girl, but I always thought how unfair Seshoumaru's treatment of that girl was to vile distaste he had for his own brother. Thank you for actually writing about it, I was starting to think I was the only one who saw it. I was crying when I read that part, I so feel for Inuyasha. The guy can take so much before he breaks, he deserves some happiness doesn'y he? I love the story and cant wait to read more

What a wonderful chapter!!! I just love how you are making the two brothers question everything they have ever thought of one another. Just one little thing---I do so hope that you let Inu Yasha have his mother's pendent. OF all things I found that to be the saddest. Thanks for such a great story. And even though you must hear this all to often...Please up-date soon. I so look forward to seeing where you take it next.

You are soooo mean! Those two just can't win for losing! Inuyasha is so tormented. I loved that he kicked Imalia's ass and your description of the battle was wonderful. Sesshoumaru's treatment of him was so kind and sweet. He truly is putting his all into trying to win Inuyasha. Then...OMG...what happened was absolutely awful! I know that Sesshoumaru hadn't meant to offend Inuyasha and it's sad that Inuyasha hates Rin. He shouldn't. Though I understand that Inuyasha's feelings of abandonment runs deep and that Sesshoumaru's cruelty would break anyone, Inuyasha really seems to be over-reacting. Of course, I don't blame him. He's so confused. I feel sorry for him. Poor Sesshoumaru, banging his head on his desk. That was so funny! I think someone needs to slip them some drugs. LOL To bad that Daigon wouldn't do such a thing. I can only imagine that a crisis, such as an uprising, that puts both in danger would actually bring the two together. Man, this is so hard! Centuries of betrayal can't go away overnight. I wouldn't be surprised if Inuyasha left. I probably would have never even went there in the first place. This is so heartbreaking. You really have me curious as to how you intend to solve this problem. I don't even know that something drastic could change Inuyasha's view of Sesshoumaru. Sucks. However, great chapter! Loved what you did at the waterfall. ^_^ Snow

i must admit that this was a very long chapter and you know what. and i just love it. i like a long chapter you get more story to read. anyway, i jumped up and cheered when inuyasha defeated that smug stuck-up bitch. i was glad that for once inuyasha was able to defend his honor and self respect without anyone stopping him. and after the fight my heart just ached for inuyasha when he saw that butterfly that reminded him of his mother. and then to see sesshomaru dolting over rin when all he ever done for inuyasha was trying to kill him. i'm sure a lot of people will think inuyasha is being silly getting all angry at the way sesshomaru treats rin. it's only nature that he would feel a jealous rage towards rin and all the loving treatment sesshomaru gives to her. and when inuyasha saw all those toys with his name on them and now they were given to rin to play with. inuyasha's reaction was just painful. and when daigon foud sesshomaru in his room thumping his forehad against his desk. it was classic. i can't wait unti the next chapter. this chapter is my all time favorite. you just have to update and soon.

Great story, one of the most emotionally oriented fics I've the pleasure to find. I especially enjoy Sesshoumaru's characterization and Inuyasha's history, especially his (or lack of)childhood. I do wonder though if anyone would dare be a sexual parter for Inuyasha. Beside the fact the he has a mating mark, would potential partners need Sesshoumaru's acknowledgment as the head of family? Is it possible to sense who another demon's mate is through the mark? How does the mark work in yokai society and will it prove to be detrimental to Inuyasha's (yokai) need? How will Sesshoumaru react to Inuyasha seeking another? Will Inuyasha even see himself as desirable considering his low self-esteem?...So many question, but I guess this is what I love about this story it makes one think, it has a plot and overall all, a most enjoyable read! ^_^ Hope you update soon!

I sincerely hope you update soon. This is -by far- one of the best Inu stories I've read in a very long time. I love the sessinu pairing and can't wait to see how their story plays out. Sess' guilt and Inu's uncertainty is 100% believable. Your writing style and attention to detail make for a wonderfully enjoyable story. In a sea of mediocre stories, the effort you put forth is greatly appreciated.

A review wouldn't do this justice. It is so long and has so much in it. Sensual and funny. Inuyasha thought he was hurting Sesshoumaru…ahahhaha. Inuyasha sure knows how to hurt Sesshoumaru's feelings. When Inuyasha figured out who he was doing what with I almost laughed out loud. It was hilarious. Then Inu had Sess trapped and wanted him off. LOL That was so mean of you. I love how their youkai are acting up. It'll take those two to make a difference. I feel really bad for Sesshoumaru. It isn't going to be easy by any means. It was funny when Sesshoumaru was telling himself that he really needed to go see Daigon. Inuyasha going all beasty on Kagome was invigorating. I do feel a little sorry for her because Sesshoumaru did set her up-to a point. Sesshoumaru threatening to make Inuyasha swallow his youkai was such a thrill! Reminds me of some books I've read. I loved that! I wanted to whine myself when Inu did while he was in Sesshoumaru's arms. That was so sweet. Darn it! Retsu just HAD to interrupt. It was a bit odd seeing Sesshoumaru in tears. I really need to go back and read the story again. Oh! What is this about home having an effect on them as individuals!? That is going to be interesting! Also, I'm intrigued by Daigon's past. Inu slashing off Daigon's and Daigon putting it back on was funny. Squeeee! Inu's reaction to Daigon shoving Sesshoumaru out the door was hilarious. "I think you're my hero…" Heheheh. Blue icky stuff from Inu's fingers? Oooh, I wonder what it's going to do! That is a nifty idea! There are too many interesting things in this chapter to do it justice in a review. You said that you put it up in a rush and I'm sure that you didn't get the time to beta. You might want to go back and do that sometime. There are a lot of run-on sentences. Watch me do the exact same thing in my next chapter. BTW, in my story, Sess is not going to gain any new powers or new bones. He still has a final stage to go through. It won't be as painful though, just annoying. There is a reason, other than physical, why his growth spurts are so bad, too. Anyway, great chappie! That was a monster! Loved it! ^_^ Snow
